Why "the last jedi"

The OT and the prequel trilogies had titles that paralleled in their idea and tone. But The Last Jedi didn't respect this formula. Were they unaware of this or did they just not care?

>first movie: a mystical or unseen force or idea
>A new hope/The phantom menace/The force awakens

>second movie: a sudden attack that turns the tide of the story
>The Empire strikes back/Attack of the clones

>third movie: closure/full circle
>Return of the jedi /Revenge of the sith

The Last Jedi makes no sense and doesn't fit

Why be on this board if you don't want to discuss anything? They can feed you literal shit on a plate and you'll enjoy it.

An ex employee leaked the entire movie last night.

Anakin's force ghost is on the island with Luke, posing as an animal. He later reveals himself to Rey. Del Toro's character is named Zenn and he is a Lando type character that the resistance tracks down on Canto Bright who knows Snoke's "secrets".

Luke is the last jedi and he doesn't plan on training anyone else to be jedi.

>Anakin's force ghost is on the island with Luke, posing as an animal
kek

When Kylo Ren gets to Ach-To he reluctantly joins Luke and Rey to help take down Snoke. Anakin's force ghost also appears to him. It is presumed that Kylo kills Anakin's force ghost. Anakin is played by Hayden.

This is so ridiculous and stupid that it makes perfect sense for TLJ to be like this

Rose Tico's sister and a good amount of resistance fighters get taken by the FO in the first big space battle led by Captain Phasma. Finn kills Hux on Canto Bright. The knights of ren were written out of the story - they have now just become Kylo's "guards".

Because Star Wars is a long, drawn out toy commercial.

How the fuck do you kill a force ghost?

Zenn, Finn, and Rose go to Snoke's hide out on the red planet covered by volcanic ash and find some kind of coffin. It's implied that Snoke recently changed bodies. They also find a lightsaber which Finn takes to bring to Luke and Rey.

It's so Disney can have their donutsteel Jedi knockoff.

I don't know. But apparently Anakin talks to Ben about the weakness of the dark side and how he can live forever in the light. Ben then says that he failed just like Luke, touches Anakin's head and then in a quiet voice says "not forever" as Anakin falls down and fades away.

You can kill a force ghost in one of the expansions/sequels to the videogame The Force Unleashed. The main character kills Ben Kenobi's force ghost. That story was already non canon back in the day as it was an alternate timeline story.

Huh?!

>current year
>caring about mouse shit

kys u cuckold. youre a slave.

The effects weren't completely finished but Anakin tells Ben that the dark side is the path of the weak and that Darth Vader was by extension weak. Enraged and hurt at being told this by his hero, Kylo furiously grabs Anakin and he disappears.

The movie ends on a cliff hanger with Luke standing before Snoke in his Star Destroyer as Rey and Ben crash through space. Leia is in route to Luke, but we don't find out if she ever makes it. Presumably not.

Rey is really powerful in the force. Luke tells her that she may become more powerful than Yoda, to which she replies "who?".

Why do you think they made the new Ghostbusters?

Anakin is actually posing as the sea monster which Rey has to fight. Luke tells her that there is a beast filled with hate and fear in the sea that she must confront. Rey doesn't sense any of those things from the sea but senses something watching her. She goes after it, lures it onto the land, and then after fighting it, the beast appears as Anakin. The porgs on Ach-To are in tune with the force and constantly fuck with Chewie for laughs.

Apparently an user who tweeted Rian Johnson about the Anakin-Sloth had his tweet deleted, so there's that

Rey is the reincarnation of the first force user. Her parents are barely mentioned and are irrelevant.

Rey is revealed to be transgender. The First Order has plans to remove any form of LGBTQ in the galaxy. Rey teams up with Poe Dameron in drag and Finn also in drag, and they attack the First Order during a stormtrooper parade. Finn kills General Hux.

Yeah, I honestly think the guy last night was legit. He gave a lot of new information that seems like something Disney would do.

Link to that thread?

How does the Last Jedi not accomplish that? Why does it even need to, you can't fucking satisfy you autists, half of you want them to just do the thing you liked before again, some people want Dune.

This is basically right. Luke has realized that being absolute light or dark is the real problem, and balance in the force can be achieved by channeling all of one's emotions. Rey will be the first hero not 'fully light side'.

When will this meme end

It could have been a larper, but it was easily the most well thought out larper I've seen. Everything sounded completely plausible and nothing conflicted with what we do know for sure. He had an extreme amount of detail and never responded with the most tell tale sign of a fake:
>That's actually the best part of the movie so I don't want to spoil it

If it was a larper, it was the best one I've ever seen.

That and he was consistent. He knew why Del Toro's character is called DJ on set when some user challenged him about it.
