I never liked these "super-hero" movies, but felt the same way about the Batman movies which turned out to be pretty nice and entertaining.

x men, x2, and logan are the only ones worth watching. the franchise is so convoluted in between these.
Yes, you can and should skip origins (2009) though, it was terrible and is no longer canon.

And don't waste your time watching all the X-Men flicks, there are literally ten of them and the vast majority are garbage. If you really feel like you need to, you have to watch the incredibly mediocre first one to understand the gist of the characters and setting. After that's out of the way, X2, First Class and Logan are actually good; just keep in mind that the X-Men movie series timeline is like the fucking Legend of Zelda with its splits and "what if this happened" alternative scenarios so when you come across inconsistencies remember that, it's still not worth watching all the trash movies to make sense of it though.
Deadpool is also entertaining purely from the perspective of witnessing the cinematic realization of decade-old Sup Forums-tier meme humor in a major hollywood movie. You don't have to watch any of the X-Men movies for that one though, it's basically in its own little spin-off world.
Just watch Logan, X2 and Days of Future Pants.
The Wolverine and Apocalypse maybe if you can enjoy wasted potential turned schlock.

Also the X-men movies are more grounded in reality compared to the other current disney capeshit. As grounded in reality as can be, but they are more gritty if you get me, they are worth watching all of them

X-men will look really cheap and the continuity of the serie is all screw up but that should not matter if you're not autistic.
Logan will have more meaningful impact if you watch everything.
watch them all. some of them kind of suck but none of them are horrendous. X-Men movies are great for characterization and themes but terrible as an overarching series, so yeah, be wary of that.

FOX as a studio deserves full credit. Don't see no rated R Spidermans/Superman/Avengers.
They took their X-Men property and instead of trying to make it family friendly, did a unique number of takes on the property across multiple genres. At least they try to make something unique and not just churn out formulaic bullshit.

Origins is totally skipable though. Id honestly turn it off right after he gets the adamantium skeleton, assume he lost his memory after than and nothing that happened matters, just jump straight to The Wolverine.
