How the fuck is this a masterpiece?

I've never bothered to watch South Park before but everyone kept sucking its dick online and in real life so I decided to watch Scott Tenorman must die, the "greatest episode". How the fuck do adults consider this funny? It was juvenile and childish as fuck, the humor was worse than an Adventure Time episode

It's one of those "You had to have been there" shows. Yeah it's pretty tame now, but that was revolutionary stuff back than.

back in the 2000's it was funny, unique and a never-seen-before-sensation

>bait

I'm 18, and I don't think it was very good either.

It's not bait you faggot, it was literally just HAHA PUBES WHOA CARTMAN IS SO DARK SUCH BLACK HUMOR

>there are people under the age of 25 posting on Sup Forums RIGHT NOW

Scott Tenorman isn't even that great of an episode. It has its moments but it's not even on my top ten list. Normies just like it to seem special and because it's where Cartman became an actual piece of shit willing to do anything to screw over anyone.

>I was a sperm when this originally aired why isn't it relevant to me?

REEEEEEEEEE

>this is juvenile and childish as fuck unlike my superhero movies

>TEARS OF UNFATHOMABLE SADNESS

>still bait

>posting on Sup Forums above the age of 25
your life is JUST

This is actually the episode that ruined South Park, similar to Homer's Enemy or The Principal and the Pauper

>Homer's Enemy or The Principal and the Pauper

What you mean is when they killed Maude, those two episodes are pretty good.

>tfw 24
JUST

Oh look it's a contrarian on Sup Forums

Dumbass, everyone knows the best south park episode is the one with Trent Boyet.

It's sad how out of all the shit they've done in the past two decades only Cock Magic and the Mexican game of capture the flag are really the only episodes that actually stand out. That's probably because they feel like seasons 5-7 material.

I know you youngfags grew up watching Charlie the unicorn and fapping to trap porn but back in the day this shit was actually cutting edge and really hadn't been seen on tv before. Hell even go back and watch the first season of family guy and see how tame it is compared to now when it's like 15 anal sex jokes an episode

its for the same people who watch the Daily Show and think you need to be "educated" to "get" the humor.

no i get it, its just not very funny to me.

I love how the teacher's wheelchair in that episode was that interrogation chair thing from Star Trek

No, what I said was what I meant, which is correct. Thank you for offering to correct me, but it was unwarranted.

Neither of those killed the simpsons, in fact they're notable because they aren't similar to any of the other episodes before or after them.

Season 8 was when the decline became notable.

Herodotus wrote about a king serving an advisor his own son at a banquet like 2500 years ago.

looks like somebody sold you some pubes ecks dee

t. 40 year old

But Homer's Enemy was great though

i hated when all my friends would immediately keep meme'ing after an episode made a new meme.

>haha gingers! look a ginger kid! i hate gingers lol!
>gayfish! haha kanyes such a gayfish lolol!

That's not the best episode though. Probably the WoW one is.

terrible opinion.

/thread.

Best episode desu

I think it's still funny today, but it's basically foghorn leghorn plot with a twist ending. They have had way better episodes before and after.

Episode came out in 2001, Charlie the Unicorn came out in 2005, not even enough to be a generational gap.

>How the fuck do adults consider this funny?

Probably because they don't and everyone who loves it was literally 7 when they first watched it?

that's because you're a pleb and build your opinions around what other people think
pic related is the best episode

>cartman tries to be a man
>fails
>gets picked on
>it keeps happening
>oops looks like Eric Harris has been picked on for the last time
All the little kids in their pumped up kicks better run, better run, outrun my gun.

Its okay if you don't understand.

The average age of South Park's viewing audience remains the same around 13-17

goat episode

>you're a sheep for not liking what is widely agreed to be the best episode

This holy shit.

The best episode of South park ever is Grey Dawn.

This is objective, this is a fact.

I think we all agree Asspen is the patrician's choice?

STAAAAAN DARSH

Cripple Fight is easily the best episode.

Most kino

That's one of the best episodes because it's just Cartman being a dick to people and not getting consequences. Those are always the best episodes. The one where he goes to school dressed like Hitler is also pretty good.

that is really fun

I remember my friend calling me on the phone laughing like an idiot

I know, it's really fucked up.

I can understand someone not liking SP these days. It's not edgy compared to the internet, and things just aren't as funny when you're older.
In the same way that Monty Python was brilliant, hilarious, boundary-pushing and unique but just seems "LOL SO RANDUMB" these days.

> How the fuck do adults consider this funny?
White people.

you're probably underage, read global rule 2 before posting again

you're welcome

i agree, i've never understood why so many people consider it the best episode

oh you dont wanna go down tha road

>mfw I was 15 on forums and just finding out about Sup Forums.
>Saw all the hot opinions the kids had then.
>Didn't have any opinions like that myself, felt like I had missed out on a lot and felt like I was naive and didn't understand much.
>"These kids on the internet are so much smarter than me!"
>Find out years later that EVERY SINGLE FUCKING PERSON just copy-pasted their views from South Park almost fucking verbatim and it sounded smart to someone who didn't know the source material but it was the most basic shit imaginable.

This show is responsible for so much cuckoldry.

actually the best episode(s) is the Go God Go one(s)

imagine being so retarded that you write a post like this

>he thinks South Park, an American cartoon tv show, had any original views

I wish this was Sup Forums so I could see your American flag and dismiss your post as burgerposting.

>UR A DUMB!
>Vanishes into the night because he can't actually explain his shit reasoning.

You're forgetting these gems
>Oh my god, you killed Kenny!
>Respect my authoritah!
>Screw you guys, I'm a going home
>Timmah!

That's exactly what that post said.
Congratulations on passing 3rd grade reading comprehension you faggot.

It is, and you're retarded for believing that

We weren't adults at the time, newfriend. I was probably 13 or 14 when this episode aired. And yes, at the time, it was great. If you're watching it for the first time as an adult, then you're a fucking moron.

START THE REACTOR

don't let the Youtuber generation fool you, SP was great and you would enjoy it if you were watching it for the first time today

>I wish this was Sup Forums
well that explains why you're a raging moron

He doesn't mean the episodes were bad, but that they directly changed the nature of the show.

Oh shit, you're right my man sorry.
I missed the part where he wrote:
>South Park came up with all of its views itself and is entirely responsible for coming up with its opinions entirely and without any outside influence at all. Trey and Matt are modern philosophers and scholarly geniuses.

>When you get triggered by the word "cuck" so you start screaming "MORON!" over and over and proceed to never actually explain your reasoning.
It's like being on nigger Twitter LMAAAAAAO

>t. 15 year old who got all his views from South Park

wrong. If a goth kids episode should be considered the best it's the Ungroundables.

you're embarrassing yourself

This. I remember whan I was 10 in 1999. I would stay up past midnight just to watch South Park. I've studied english mostly by watching SP episodes on CD's my father pirated for me. Last few seasons were fucking horrible and matt & trey are way past their prime. But it was the best show ever when you're a teenager. Like we were told we're not supposed to see it and it made it cool.

Not an argument, Burger.

A classic doesn't necessarily mean good. But simply an episode well known culturally, by the fandom, and a part of the lore of he show. The episode where Fonzi jumps the shark in Happy Days isn't good, but it is a classic episode.

Fuck off gingerfag

then how do you know they got it from south park you raging faggot

unironically better than South Park

>People this retarded exist on Sup Forums.
Back to Twitter pls

Holy shit remember the 00's?

this isn't an argument. you're just sperging out like an autist

le memes xDDD

South Park is really a show you have to watch when it comes out, they deal with present issues and ideas. Context is important.
In my view south park have basically never changed from being good at identifying boundaries, then ploughing through them.

I haven't watched recent episodes, but given that nowadays boundaries are everywhere, I'm sure the show seems to be ploughing all over the place recklessly

>hurr every opinion on the internet about every issue that was in south park came from a 15 year old watching the show
>ur stoopid

good one Tyrone

High School Musical was the best episode

This was a landmark episode, because it's the first time Cartman did full psycho shit.
The episode itself wasn't one of the best, but it's remembered because of this.

They made their whole movie about how kids liked it just because it was a taboo thanks to parents.

What is this shit?

>I've never bothered to watch South Park before
Hmm what a surprise that you don't get an episode that's famous because it subverted the expectations that they had built up for half a decade.

Also you have bad taste in humor and should fuck off because this place is for adults.

It was funny 10 years ago when you were a teenager but now it's just bad, even when i rewatch episodes I used to like it's not funny

I fucking hate Generation Z and their special-snowflake attitude so fucking much.

Just because you, pathetically, got educated by South Park doesn't mean anyone else did.

>special-snowflake

you have to go back

The hottest show around.

Fuck off you underage useless piece of shit.

Oh, did I trigger your feelings, snowflake? Four more years!

haha lookat these retards

>oooo lookat me im mean edgy le trump guy on the internet

praise le epic kek :D
you le cuck : D

another thread where Sup Forumstards display a stunning lack of self-awareness.

>POTUS
>edgy

Now try another buzzword

Top tier argumentative post, user, congrats
