probably one of the best cartoons out there
It has a few duds in there but it was short and to the point, and does something other cartoons fail to do. It ends.
Season 2 gets better, it addresses some of the main complaints about the first season and gets going on the plot; which really nails it somehow. Basically every little thing from Mabel and Dipper's selfish/selfless relationship, to Wendy's facade of being chill all the time, to even Robbie's edgyness.

Gravity Falls is fucking mint.
X-files meets Twin Peaks meets Stranger Things (that thing was later but you get the gist).
Just avoid any and all fandom.
I'm extremely glad they kept it to two seasons. Instead of milking it until everyone's bored to hell and back the quality stays consistent throughout all episodes.

My favorite cartoons are Ren and Stimpy, Loony Tunes, that sort of stuff. Gravity Falls will probably be better than you think.
