I need some new cartoons to watch Sup Forums. Give me some suggestions. Few of my preferences.

1. Not a sitcom like Family Guy or Simpsons.
2. Has some continuity between episodes or a continuing story line.
3. Actually has a good plot.
4. Takes itself seriously sometimes. Not against comedy, I'm just a sperg and I get bored of a show if it's nothing but jokes.

Thank you.

what past shows have you liked/disliked? avatar: tla might be a good "gateway" cartoon

The Big Bang Theory

>not a sitcom
>plot and continuity
>capable of emotional weight
Venture Brothers.

Steven Universe

First 8 or so episodes are fairly mediocre, but shit gets good by episode 11.

Tweet is real.

Over the Garden Wall

Daria

Homestuck

>good plot

Exactly.

Moral Orel?

Rugrats even if it isn't inherently connected.

>All those pop culture references

Hey Arnold because it's good shit

Batman Animated Series
Superman Animated Series
>Implied Batman cucks Superman in crossover

No, I don't help frogfucks.

The Maxx
Bojack Horseman
Avatar: The last airbender
Rick and Morty (mostly comedy but also follows your points)
Gargoyles, season 1 and 2
Daria

You might not like all but you might find one that you do.

Steven universe is pretty good, it doesn't have a continuing plot heavy story-line every episode but it does tease law and delivers it pretty well.

I think avatar last airbender fits perfectly to your needs though.

Definitely Avatar the Last Airbender or Teen Titans. Both meet all of the criteria and are incredible.

Shit is melodramatic.

Gravity falls

All of these have given me that sense of being "consumed" buy a show that you're probably looking for.

Gravity falls gets weird and dark, but ends up being kind of a letdown in how silly it's dark moments are painted, especially with the finale. Steven Universe and adventure time usually handle it in a more satisfying way, letting their dark moments be dark and kinda horrific.
