>3/4 of the cast had nothing to do
>dark as fuck to light as fuck mood whiplash between scenes
>mystique is now a hero because we paid money for jennifer lawrence and dammit we're gonna use her
>magneto is now a henchman

It wasn't terrible but the xmen franchise has seen much better days.

Also

>pic related blocks powers but mystique is an exception for no reason
>quicksilver wants to tell magneto he's his dad then decides "nah, fuck it."
>jubilee was literally a background character

>I'd give it exactly the score that means I have made no decision about it whatsoever, why are all these other people deciding things about it?

>Plot derailment for Wolverine Cameo
>1980s used for Star Wars joke and set dressing and nothing else
>Low energy destruction porn
>Xavier tries to redeem Magneto for the umpteenth time
>Cyclops has fucking HEAT VISION

4/10 but would watch again to fap to storm

You gave it a 6/10.
Look at RT, that's the score it has, a 5.7/10

To be fair all the xmen movies fuck up cyclops's beams

Also on the 80s setting:
>characters age 20 years
>look exactly the same

>get out of my face

>Apocolypse using one of the top Marvel vs Capcom 2 teams
>Magneto Storm Psylocke
>gets shit pushed in by Phoenix

CURLEH MUSTACHE

Third best X-film

Better than:
Wolverine Origins
The Wolverine
X-men Last Stand

And BvS

Say what you will about X3, the performances were leagues better and entertaining to watch. This one was just boring.

X2 > DOFP > Apocalypse > X-Men > FC > X3

This is how the Jewish Marvel regime works. Marvel is pissed that their studio doesn't get the rights to characters because of one stupid signature made by a staff member, so they get their planted "critics" to give the film bad reviews.

Why do you think BvS has bad reviews too?

Sooooo... 10% more than the average?

I would add first class too but opinions

Does any one have the lines that apocalyps told Xavier while broadcasting the world?

And the first two.
And First Class.

According to Rotten Tomatoes, X-Men Aocalypse is worse than X-Men the Last Stand, Man of Steel, and the Amazing Spider-Man 2. All rotten movies.

But they won't get us, user

My opinions from the other thread:

>Finally watches film
>One entire hour of plot build up
>Unexplained plot conveniences that barely make sense
>Too much focus on a paper-thin Magento plot that is basically forgotten later on
>No character arc in the story whatsoever
>Too much reliance on being familiar with the characters from the beginning
>Apocalypse is a shitty villain who watches TV and gets mad even though we know nothing about him prior to this scene except that he was a leader people rebelled against for unexplained reasons
>EVERY THING IS EXPLAINED IN WORDS - Jean's reluctance to use her powers, Havok's thoughts about Scott, Magneto's decision to have a family, etc
>Best characters are Nightcrawler and Quicksilver, who had the perfect story setup to reveal his lineage to Magneto but didn't for some reason, even though it would make sense as closure to Magneto's family struggles

I don't know why I greentexted this whole shit, because I didn't originally plan to get so worked up. This movie sucked balls. How do you dump so much time and budget into something without realizing what a steaming pile of garbage you're making?

The thing is, they could have easily fixed this by another set of revisions. They could have easily tightened up the script and played up more the stories of Magneto letting his past dictate his emotions, and gone more heavily into the relationship between Xavier and Jean by making a story about the sensitivities and burden of being a telepath, which would have made the ending much more satisfying when Jean let loose. And they should have cast a Jean actress that could actually act.

Because in this day and age decent is terrible.

>Why do you think BvS has bad reviews too?
Because it sucked ballsweat.

So there's no such thing as an average movie?

I don't think you realized how retarded that is when you posted it.

That said, OP is pretty dumb and the movie was far worse than a 3

Someone explain to me the movie timelines because I can't make heads or tails of it.

Does the newest movie still fall in line with this
>25moments.com/
Or is it an entirely new reset?

This movie was so poorly written
>Havoc dies and nobody really cares. Cyclops cries a bit, but there's zero consequences after that

>Magneto's ham-fisted family who was created solely to be killed off and who we have never scene before or grow an attachment to is killed outta nowhere by... god? with a misfired arrow, extra motivation he shouldn't need and pretty much forgotten about by the end.

>Storm is for some reason cool with ending the world, zero motivation to trust and follow this guy other than a boost of power

>Psylocke is for some reason cool with ending the world, zero motivation other than a small boost of power
>Magneto is for some reason cool with ending the world, even though Magneto never wanted anything like this. Magneto only wanted mutants to rise and take power, he never wanted to KILL EVERYBODY CUZ FUCK MY FAMILY DID.
>Angel is the only one who who had nothing to lose and everything to gain, though they NEVER explain why.

>for some reason Apocalypse only acquires 4 followers despite knowing that there are far more mutants who could potentially cause a big problem, despite having access to everyone's mind including direct access to Professor X's mind, Apacalyps ignores Jean Grey entirely

>Magneto just sits in his big tornado until the movie decides it's time to throw shit at Apocalypse

>Magneto kills thousands, if not millions of people for no reason and Storm is a WILLING accomplice
>Professor X calls him "old friend" and then lets him walk out the door, she joins the team

This is literally the second best X-Men movie, after DOFP. Not even X2 was as enjoyable as this one.

3/5 is a 60%. Literally lower than it has been getting

>ic related blocks powers but mystique is an exception for no reason
Are you retarded? It doesn't block powers, it just can't be penetrated/teleported through.

Shit I... I know that the characters age slowly in comic's and/or get de-aged but i could've sworn I read that mutant aged slower than humans? That there's some comic where Xavier is like 150 and it's not weird?

Well you know, if I was Piet- Peter I would also have second thoughts about revealing myself as the child of a mass murderer

I'd give it a 7.5, not the most solid, but it's a very nice evolution and ending for the path started by First Class.

That is, provided the fourth one doesn't rethread Charles, Eric and Raven's plots again and lets the next gen X-Men shine.

...

>5.6/10
Exactly.

48% means a little under half of critics liked it, which means it could be called a divisive movie. People need to stop looking at the % like its a grade on a test and start thinking about what the % actually means. 70% for example means that the majority of critics liked it.

All that being said, Apocalypse was horrible aside from Quicksilver's scene.

There's no such thing as a precise 50% of indecision, no.

It's why all reputable scoring systems use even numbers. Like when you're filling out a questionnaire and it gives you 1-10 to score from - that's so that you don't just pick 3/5 for everything, which is what people do if you give them the option.

People, it turns out, are afraid of looking too into or too against something.

I fell asleep in the movie theater.
Haven''t done that in awhile.

Cliched Villain? Nobody thought Ultron wasn't cliched? Robot that tries to destroy the earth, stupid, gets smacked by Hulk and everyone in Avengers. Apocalypse was actually intelligent and competent. He actually had a viable victory path of winning: disabled all Nuclears nearly body switched with Professor X to mind control everyone on earth. He had fucking Magneto in his team.

The ONLY thing that saved the world from Lypse was the sheer BS powerboost they managed to pull with Phoenix in the last minute. If the Professor did not awaken Phoenix by chance, Lypse would have mind fucked everyone in the world to his submission. Heck, without Phoenix, he could've taken the whole X men.

Doesn't matter how good Apoc was, he was boring af

>>boring
No offense but boring villain does not make a movie bad. Sorry you prefer funny clown villains to constantly amuse you

It was a prequel trilogy up until Days of Future Past, and now it's a reboot trilogy.

>assuming I like Marvel villains

Not everybody fits into your company wars perspective of viewing the world

>boring doesn't mean bad
yes it does

You could've replaced Apocalypse with a blue cardboard cut out for most of the movie to the same effect. A few scenes might actually be improved.

I agree

Its another unfairly rated movie that is just hammered down by marveldrones and mouseketeers who were obviously paid off. Just like BvS, it's a movie that was way better than most of the MCU garbage but was critically panned because...??

Nigga this movie sucked

DoFP on the other hand was pretty good, this movie felt like a shittier version of that one

I just hated how they build up to a big fight scene with apocolypse and it just turns into a bunch of them keeping him in one place until xavier decides to tell jean to just finish him off.

BvS has bad reviews because it was a bad movie.

It has been known for years that Disney has critics in their back pocket. Roger Ebert was one of them. However, I thought they only paid for good reviews and not to give competitors bad ones.

>>quicksilver wants to tell magneto he's his dad then decides "nah, fuck it."
He says it himself that he's a loser, and is afraid of the consequences.

Its one of those movies like BvS when you ask yourself how anyone in the production was okay with the final product
>underdevelopped horseman
>shit vilain just to hide that the story is again about magnetto and Xavier
>cut out X-kids developpement
>J-Law phoned in performance
>Pointless first class character
>beast is barely blue
>Wolverine cameo makes no sense and is just there to set up an unhealthy relationship with JEAAAN and how violent his movie will be
The kids were good but its just a filler for the Phoenix Saga. This movie seems like it should have came out in the early 2000's and it becomes so MEH after the quicksilver scene which is really out of place when you look back on it.
60%

According to imdb it's a 7/10.
