Because it's actually a Spiderman show.

Also, Terry is REALLY bad at his job.

Because they took every opportunity to fuck with the executives.

>We want a Batman in High School series
>Sure, scoffs Timm, but it won't be Bruce

>We think this was too violent. Change it
>Sure, scoffs Dini, we'll just make it traumatizing instead

>We want you to make a movie
>Sure, scoffs Brunett, it's gonna be about child abuse and the Joker will get shot

TERRY ARE YOU IN A BLACK HOUSE

GET OUT OF THERE

Because it's like a teenage batman show!

The girls were hot in the Batman Beyond show.

Do you think Terry is sexy?

Because Terry didn't give a fuck.

Because Bruce Timm's girls gave us premature boners when we were kids.

Well, he almost had the chance to fuck with Dana Tan.

This show is so shway all the time.

No Flash

Not even close

No, that's why beyond was so good.

because it was a Spider-Man show for people that aren't realy fans of Batman

they even ripped of his rogue
the evil radioactive guy was pretty much Osborne
the hunter guy was Kraven
and they even had Terry meet the Not-Fantastic 4

>and they even had Terry meet the Not-Fantastic 4
And then kill them horribly

Too good for them I say!

Statik X intro

Because it's a action show and something for teen life.

because it was the perfect twist on the original formula -- essentially robin training to be batman with bruce as his coach in a techno-future.

the only thing i regretted is that he never quite had a joker-equivalent. blight was his main personal villain, but there wasn't a hyper-competent rogue that just lived to fuck with terry

it should have been ten

>It stole his rogues!
>GREEN Goblin the main villain is also GREEN Paul Dini is a hack
>Uh that villain from the one episode who's a hunter original concept do not steal
>Also Spiderman's most famous rogues The Fantastic Four!

>joker literally comes back
>comes closer than anyone to fucking murdering terry and bruce

i know you can't just bring the old rogues back but this and freeze's return were both god tier

It's the closest we will ever get to a animated series about Dick Grayson too.

I mean, they were his opposition in the very first issue of ASM.

It wasn't perfect or amazing, but after the end of BTAS and STAS, kids wanted something more. Kevin Conroy returning as old Bruce kind of sealed the deal in terms of being the official successor to original cartoon. You can still see some of that "EXTREME" 90's gloss that was on everything at the time, but it honestly turned out OK for what it was.

Return of the Joker and the epilogue of JLU were decent tie-ins to BTAS as well.

I still sneak the word schway into regular conversation. I'm gonna make it stick eventually

Seeing the Blade Runner esque dystopian future of Gotham was pretty neat

Low expectations coupled with someone who "got" the source material actually making a pretty good effort to do something with executive meddling gone horribly right.

Because it's Batman+Spider-man

Two great tastes that go great together.

Because they tried something new.

we're actually watching Batman Beyond over at weebcrew.moe right now if anyone's interested.

...

Inspiration more than ripoffs.

Inspiration, is clearly there - Inque was clearly inspired by Venom and Sandman, Spellbinder is inspired by Mysterio, Falseface was inspired by Chameleon, Derek Powers is inspired by Kingpin (Green Goblin? really?), Terrapin is the Rhino, Repeller by Electro, Payback by Punisher, Willie Watts and Golem by Doctor Octopus, and Shriek by Shocker and, well, Shriek - but they all take general concepts of those characters, and take them in completely different and creative directions.

People draw inspirations from other sources all the time, so when trying to make a teenage hero, Spider-Man seemed the obvious choice - so they decide to skip the boring exploration and simply decided that Spider-Man already did that, so they can borrow their homework, so to speak.

>Derek Powers is inspired by Kingpin (Green Goblin? really?)
I generally agree with you except for here. Wasn't the dude a captain of industry who was turned twisted/given powers by some science bullshit? It's been awhile so maybe I'm remembering wrong. But that sounds more Osborne than kingpin inspired (although the first episode he was in he might have been more kingpinny)

>the Joker will get shot
This is misleading. It implies he was shot with bullets, which is a no-no. No, he was simply shot with a steel rod. Not an arrow either mind you, pointy things are bad. It's a blunt steel rod.

Because its set between Dark Knight Returns and Akira.

>BB thread
>no one posted that bad endings chart yet
I'm surprised.

Also, Terry is my favorite Batman.

Why do people keep saying this show was popular cos it was like Spiderman. How the fuck is it like Spiderman?
Did Spiderman ever have a future version of himself where someone else takes up the moniker in a sci fi city with a black and red costume that's high tech and let's them glide around and shit.....uh no

Still had that 80s dystopia cyber punk with asian elements, flavor.

Ehh, yes?

are you actually retarded?

That was a little too specific.

I can see why people say it is like Spider-man, I can even agree with them, but I like BB better.
Also, yes, it is called Spider-Man 2099.

No between the two of us I don't think it's me who has trouble thinking things through man.

I mean come on.

Dancing to his sassy girlfriend.
>xd

Terry! You have to rape the DeeDees! It's the only way to be sure!

>Old Bruce and young Bruce brought together by the time fuckery JLU episode
>young Bruce looks askance when they have to rape the Joker they captured
>Old Bruce says "I can't believe I ever used to be that green."

Already did, on to the next target.

...

Yeah. Not timeskip terry, though. They just put a big brucejaw on him and called it a day.

DC are godtier at making cartoons
Even at worst like YJ its still better than marvel

Because they actually gave a crap, put effort into it, and made sure it wasn't some shitty spin off

>Terry has surpassed Bruce in all the ways...

Great Show.

Character still has many comics and alt cotsumes in video games. Certainly successful.

What kind of person fails Family Studies?

BAT OF MURDER BEYOND

youtube.com/watch?v=ObSZp6Q9WCU

yallve seen these right?

Someone post the image of all the death in the show

That's not funny

god the twins were like the best jokerz

i'm still rustled that the joker turned into a shitty tween gang in beyond

C'mon, user. That was waaaay too specific not to be bait.

BLOW IT ALL UP.

youtube.com/watch?v=PFpE_iNtWAo

How does "impaled" strike you?

I still can't get over how cool "Suicide by factory explosion" sounds.

you guys don't prefer Beyond over the original, right?

I personally don't, but I list it above JLU.

At least half of the original series was boring as fuck. Quick Batgirl, we have to stop Dagget from boring the audience into a coma!

It's kind of hard to fuck up Batman with a rocket boots and flying car.

>wanting to tap that ass
what are you a faggot

>It wasn't perfect or amazing

but it was

>tween

Uh they are clearly too old to be tweens.

This. It took them a while to get their stride with TAS so there are a lot of boring/mediocre episodes. BB built on that experience so every episode was great.

did Tron uprising do a good job of doing the batman beyond thing?

TERRY GET OUT OF THERE NOW
*electric guitar riffs*

Open you mind

>BB built on that experience so every episode was great.

this is false tho and clearly shows how biased you people are

Man, Bruce is really pushing his liver

this was pretty funny. Why aren't you posting the rest of them?

Stalker and Inque survived though.
I wonder if Inque can make her tits bigger with her powers

Even Melanie has better tits.

This show really got these girls shanking.

except at the same time, you can cite Batman rogues that also inspire these
Inque is really more Clayface than Venom. being black goo doesn't change that her fighting style is more akin to "clayface but fast." Spellbinder is a modern Mad Hatter, etc etc

basically comic books are one big incestuous gangbang in terms of inspiration. The only people who ever actually created new ideas were Jack Kirby and Bill Finger.

Which he falls on afterwards, pushing it in further.

Unless you're watching the kid friendly version. Then he accidentally electrocutes himself.

I have a question.

Is the digital soul guy related to the AI-making guy whose robots tried to take over Gotham in BTAS?

I didn't mind it since Terry also electrocutes the chip. Pottery.

More like Rad Stan, this guy was the best nemesis

He's fucking crazy but he really did seem to want to help society.

It was really pathetic though, how clearly they tried to ridicule the concept of anarchist freedom fighter/terrorist by having him shout "and no jury duty" in his fantasy world.

Well, Spiderman was always a Batman show so makes sense

One of my favorite parts in Spiderman TAS was spidey talking to a gargoyle whenever he felt bad and calling it Bruce.

Unf dem hips

youtube.com/watch?v=Ft6mNPeqa6Y

I want to use schway more but I'm afraid I'll sound like a total dork and/or an autist

N da legs

Soulbro makes some good shit, wish I had money to throw at him

>Unlike the Hulk, when I get angry, I CRY A LOT

>Believe me, you're the only one who cares.

I'm a retard. Who are some of the rouges in spiderman and batman's side
For spiderman
>below Black Cat and below Shocker
For Batman
>below Clay face

>below Black Cat
Beetle
>below Shocker
No idea.
>below Clay face
Electrocutioner

Huh. Thanks user

Beetle, scarecrow, electrocutioner

>good
I think you mean schway
