Are there any superheroes left that have living, married parents and aren't motivated by tragedy?

I wished they tossed the dead mother origin. Pr-crisis Barry's parents were both alive.

When did Wally's parents get divorced?

They never had a good relationship. So the split always made sense.

Whole family is alive.

Kamala but she hasn't been around long enough for that to be an accomplishment. If she has a run without Willow writing and doesn't get the tragedy bug I will be surprised.

Terrorists don't count though.

Uh...someone didn't read the Nu52.

Sam Alexander nova.

Assuming his dad's still alive.

Oh and miles Morales. And I guess wonder woman

>alive
lol

Oh. Well that sucks.

>Sam Alexander nova.
>Assuming his dad's still alive.
>Oh and miles Morales
The shitty new diversity characters don't count. And Miles' parents are divorced last I checked. He doesn't even have his father's last name.

Maybe his dad remarried. Also no diversity characters count. Don't be a fag about it and go 'nuh uh that's not allowed'

I don't mean all non-white characters. Just the newer ones being shoehorned in by terrible writers for their own agenda.

Hopefully Rebirth will fix that.

multiple xmen

Thor's parents are alive, but not married.

Blue Beetle?

>last you checked
they're not. he just doesn't have his dad's last name because Bendis is an idiot

Yup. And Bunker. Possibly Vibe?

I'm sensing a pattern...

Yeah. That's fucking weird. Bendis also named his father after the confederate president. Also if Miles kept the last name it would be Miles Davis.

I just hope Rebirth got rid of the Manhunter garbage.

I thought Venom killed Miles' mom

She got better

Damn I thought it was a good moment for character development. His mom dying could've been his Uncle Ben.

Franklin Richards?

Superman's biological parents are dead but he isn't motivated by tragedy

>The shitty new diversity characters don't count.
>The examples that exist doesn't count
You ruined the thread

I miss back when Superman's parents were both alive. They had a fun, comfy dynamic.

That Invincible guy.

I love Pa Kent being alive. Part of that is because I grew up on Superman: The Animated Series along with Superman For All Seasons. I like the idea of Jonathan being there as a living example and source of advice for his son.

>that episode where Martian stayed with the Kents for Christmas
>they wrapped Supe's presents in lead paper so he couldnt peek
>he still tried

>He still thinks Santa is real
>even though he lives in the fucking Arctic

I love both of the Kents being alive too. Who knows? Depiending on how Rebirth goes with the retcons of the New 52 Superman, they could be. Doubtful, but possible. It was also nice to see them in Lois and Clark and Young Justice where Jon referred to Conner as "one of my boys." (We need Conner back too)

>We need Conner back too
Yes. If it were up to me, he'd come back, live with the Kents, and Clark and Lois would be married but not have a kid.

I thought he was in the south pole.
And I mean it makes sense. Look at what else exists in their world.

Pre-Flashpoint? At the start of Wally's run of the Flash, more or less.

Like, 6-7 issues in or something? After Wally won the lottery and met Tina McGee. He came home and his dad had tried to kill his mom because the Manhunters told him to.

I actually looked it up. The DCAU version is in Arctic waters.

>tfw there was a Superman: The Animated Series episode where Superman actually meets Santa and no one in the world believes him

If it was after he became the Flash, it'd be nice if when he comes back in Rebirth his parents are still together and his dad's not a Manhunter.

Having your entire homeworld blow up counts as a tragic past, even if he's super chill about it.

Just deal with it. In any case the new diversity characters are in a different weight class because they haven't been around long enough for their famlies to get fucked with.

He's more of a walking plot device than a superhero. But his parents get points for being very stable, at least by Sup Forums standards.

Parents are separated.

>someone didn't read the Nu52.

Yeah, no one did.

>Just deal with it. In any case the new diversity characters are in a different weight class because they haven't been around long enough for their famlies to get fucked with.
Yeah, but it's so obvious they're attached to the writers' political agendas and they're only successful because they rode the coattails of other superheroes who they took their names from.

Only Bendys could do that unintentionally.

I miss Rich. :(

Rebirth is directed by Geoff Johns so if nothing else you know Pa Kent is going the way of Uncle Ben.

Waid got rid of the Manhunter garbage, dude. His dad showed up at Wally's wedding and that shit apparently never happened.
