Seems kinda stupid to me, how are they deciding "poverty"? Even the poorest Americans live pretty well.

Why are so many Irish/Brits/Australians unemployed? Get a job.

Makes me feel good about myself

>Seems kinda stupid to me, how are they deciding "poverty"? Even the poorest Americans live pretty well.

Our poor are even fatter than the rich. Problem that a lot of African nations would love to have.

That's because they're niggers

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poverty_threshold

Are we talking real poverty or meme poverty where you can't afford your $25 vegan milk

We're talking about the developed world here.

Hell I lost count of how many poor people have smart phone, internet, computer etc.

cool racism but plenty of poor white people too so shut up and grow up

Yeah sure. So poor Americans live pretty damn well, as do most """"developed world"""" poor people. Dummy.

You should know by now to never respond to leafs.

>Feel bad about myself because I set high standards and nothing ever feels like enough
>Read statistics like "99% of amerilards cannot come up with $1000 in an emergency! Many people are saving nothing for retirement!"
>Read about how like 65% of north americans are overweight
Suddenly everything feels so much better.

>Even the poorest Americans live pretty well.
This is what Americans actually believe.

>Our poor are even fatter than the rich.
That's because healthy food is fucking expensive in the US and they're forced to gobble down tacos from the dollar menu instead, you fucking dingus.

Buying "healthy food" isn't more expensive than fastfood though?

Except it is in many cases. But the main factor isn't cost, it's education. You've never seen how health is taught to Americans.

It depends on where you live. If you fall below the federal poverty line but live in, say, rural Nebraska, you can still have a relatively comfy life. If you live in NYC, it is a different story.

USA USA USA USA USA

>That's because healthy food is fucking expensive in the US
wtf do you mean by "healthy food"? "Low calorie food"? Yeah by definition if you try to fill up using only low calorie foods you will need to buy a lot more food. Duh.

But very few Americans are malnourished in any way. They choose to buy delicious hot dollar tacos. Because they are good, fast, tasty and filling. We are overnourished and happy. Plus tons of charity, food banks, friendly people, etc etc etc.

Do we have poor? Yep. But overall I'd rather be poor here than in most other nations.

Nah bullshit, Americans are taught nutrition they don't eat junk food because they think its healthy or whatever.

The food I buy is about the same or cheaper than if I ate the equivalent calories in fastfood.

Also, can't you use the internet to learn about nutrition? Or does that not exist in Am*Rica anymore? If poor - maybe use McDonald's wifi on obamaphone or library computer to Google? Seems like fairly easily attainable information.

isn't a mcdonalds combo meal or something like $1? lmao

Is there poverty in Denmark? How?

How much more is a pound of chicken breast than a bigmac?

Idk I don't go to mcdonalds

Nah its like $6 for example a Big Mac Meal. Kids meals are like $3.

Its cheap but not THAT cheap. Real reason people like fast food is because its fast, delicious and filling. And cheap-ish. Unlike UK (apparently poor people sit on their asses all day?), American poor usually have to work hard at jobs and want a hot meal waiting for them at the end of it.

No, they aren't. They're taught an outdated food pyramid in which bread is supposedly the most healthy thing people should be eating all the time.

Calories aren't the only nutrition, you fucking clown. No wonder you're all fat.

$6?!?!? Where the fuck do you live that mickey d's is $6

Oh okay I just googled it and it seems a bigmac is more expensive.

How much more expensive is a few lbs rice or oats than a meal from McDonald's in america?

Being poor is a choice in Denmark, if you are a citizen of the country, at least.

There's quite a few studies linking obesity with malnutrition dummy.

The real revelation of this chart is that in places like Belgium or Ireland people are poor because they're unemployed, either willingly or unwillingly.

In glorious North America however people are STILL poor DESPITE working.

1) No they aren't they updated the food pyramid you dummy
2) Original food pyramid just said carbs should be the base of your diet, not the most. For most normies, yes, you do need to get most calories from carbs (rice, bread, pasta etc) because carbs are cheap and filling. Try to fill up on meat or fruit and you will go broke very fast.

Its the most important nutrition, especially in terms of the obesity epidemic. That said, there is very low levels of malnourishment in the USA as a whole too. Most normal Americans eating a normal diet fill all their dietary requirements.

Travelling gypsies and drug addicts.

Where do you live that a big mac meal is much less than $6? Go on I fucking dare you. Tell me where the FUCK you live that a big mac meal is $5 or less and I will look it up.

Who cares, USA has low levels of malnutrition.

How can you get obese on few calories?

doesn't this go contrary to thermodynamics?

All that counts for me is this chart

Even if the bigmac is more expensive I don't think their chicken shit is good for you either.

>How much more expensive is a few lbs rice or oats than a meal from McDonald's in america?
Depends but it could run you about $3-5 dollars. I got this other user saying mcdonalds is like $6.

Arizona

>That said, there is very low levels of malnourishment in the USA as a whole too.

livestrong.com/article/487412-malnutrition-in-america/

Vitamin deficiencies are a form of malnutrition, and one vitamin deficiency in particular has become a health concern in the United States. More than 75 percent of Americans are deficient in vitamin D, according to a 2009 study published in the “Archives of Internal Medicine.”

also why are you so angry?

If you are a single mom with 4 kids working at Subway of course you will still be poor. "A job" is no guarantee of being rich. Why aren't the Irish or Belgiums getting jobs though?

>Americans will have 4 children while working as a sandwich artist
No wonder their IQs and PISA test scores are so bad compared to the rest of the civilized world.

Average cost of big mac meal in Arizona is $6.65.

fastfoodmenuprices.com/mcdonalds-prices/?redir

Dummy

Because you are a damn liar and you know it, buddy

You get vitamin D from going out in the sun.

Because there's no economy in the world where there are more jobs than people.

So why are Americans so deficient when the US are so much sunnier than Europe?

ah yes vitamin D deficiency great argument

you can be homeless and get served 3 meals a day while getting free food from food banks and free clothes from shelters in this country

Pic related btw vitamin D deficiency is bad everywhere in the world because we don't go outside enough. Its not particularly high in the USA even remotely.

big mac is $4 and meal is $6. Not to mention mcdonalds dollar menu and whatnot.

dummy

sorry i don't know about mcdonalds as much as you fatfuck

I don't buy it, you can always make your own jobs. There are infinite jobs in that sense.

They aren't, see:

Culture of staying inside maybe? People go to work (indoors, mostly offices) then come home. Where to get sunlight in there?

>you can be homeless and get served 3 meals a day
Every single year when winter roles around your city councils basically vote to put homeless people on a death march because they either don't want to open up shelters or want to sell them to turn into another parking lot or abandoned sports arena.

Everyone is middle class here.

I'm pretty sure you don't have to feel sorry for the people who are poor in the Netherlands.

Thats why I said "a big mac meal costs $6", DUH. And did not say "big mac meal is cheapest thing on the menu".

Actually we have tons of shelters in this country the problem is most homeless are mentally fucked or drug addicts so they get kicked out of them

Hell your original post said

"isn't a mcdonalds combo meal or something like $1? lmao"

Which is a flat out lie. There are no combo meals on the dollar menu. Don't try to downgrade the combo meal to "just the sandwich". The CHEAPEST combo meal in Arizona is the 2 cheeseburger for $5.40. So you were literally off by 540% so don't give me that.

FACT

Vitamin D levels in your body and cuckdom have a perfectly negative linear correlation as your picture shows

Or they are only open part of the days.

But you have to exaggerate everything to make it sound favorable.
Poor people are just trash tbqh. Never met one that wasn't regardless of race or anything else.

Don't humans produce our own Vitamin D through exposure to sunlight?

well yeah usually at night though some have programs during the day but otherwise you'd just have a bunch of homeless loitering inside of them forever instead of loitering inside libraries

Something is seriously wrong when you are working but still living in poverty. When are we having a revolution?

>proud of being better than Africa

A few years ago we pretty much had no homeless people anymore in 2013.

Butin 2013 our government also decided to start ending our social state. So our homeless people are now increasing every year. And the number of murders by crazy people is also increasing every year.

The good thing about our government is that it is relatively well prepared for the future and not afraid to take controversial measures. But the bad side of our government is that it's not a future most people want to see for this country.

>Something is seriously wrong when you are working but still living in poverty
Why?

youtube.com/watch?v=npJKYwL5QA8

Sounds dumb to me what if someone has 12 kids? Or their job is selling cutco knives? You can't ever avoid poverty altogether. The real important thing is to take care of people in poverty so they don't suffer.

>Why aren't the Irish or Belgiums getting jobs though?
because when the government gibs are better than working £1 an hour + tip you take the gibs

Why are so many people in the US unemployed? Get a job.

They arent. US has record low unemployment right now actually.

We are barely more unemployed than you, also keep in mind that USA consists of 50 states meanwhile Europe gets split up into individual nations if you did the European average they'd be a lot more unemployed than just Denmark alone. This graph leaves out the poorest European nations but leaves in the poorest American states.

Unemployment rate in my state is ~3% lower than the unemployment rate in your country.

"Why is there so much jobless people in the United States of Am-"

In October the U.S. unemployment rate dropped to 4.1%—the lowest level since December 2000, when it hit 3.9%.

October also marked a record-setting 85th straight month of job gains, dating back to 2010.

That job creation is reaching into virtually every corner of the country.

This year a remarkable 12 states have recorded their lowest unemployment rates since the Bureau of Labor Statistics began tracking state figures in 1976, and California matched its previous low. (One outlier is Alaska, with the nation’s highest rate at 7.2%.)

fortune.com/2017/12/20/us-unemployment-rate-states

why did they do it?

>We are barely more unemployed than you,
In the graph you have about twice as much unemployment.
I'm aware that this is not representive of the current situation, which is why I was referencing your retarded
>Why are so many Irish/Brits/Australians unemployed? Get a job.
since Aus/Brit/Ireland at the moment has about the same unemployment rate as yours.

>also keep in mind that USA consists of 50 states meanwhile Europe gets split up into individual nations
Yes. Since Europe is composed of different nations, as opposed to the US that's one nation, and will be judged as such.

>if you did the European average they'd be a lot more unemployed than just Denmark alone.
Yes, but I'm juding based on nations, just like the graph you commented on.

>This graph leaves out the poorest European nations but leaves in the poorest American states.
Yes, as US is one nation.

You could always continue this by saying "well, if you take each individual region in the nation!" and then "well, if you take each individual city in the nation!".

What about the EU

The EU is not a nation, for god's sake.
Did you even bother reading my post?
What about the Americas?

Seems like EU wants to be considered a country when it suits them and a continent when it doesn't.

The Netherlands has the largest gas field of Europe.
The socialists used it to fund the welfare state with. While investing nothing at all in green energy or anything productive.
Because getting gas out of the ground causes earth quakes our government will stop using it pretty much cold turkey. And that has a price.

Plus our right wing is in power. And our right wing hates debts. So they throw everything off the governments balance sheet. They sold our power plants, privatized our public health care, are slowly ending the subsidization of houses, people with disabilities on welfare need to get reevaluated and psychological disorders are no longer an excuse not to work and so on.

>Seems like the US wants to be considered a nation when it suits them, and as separate states when it doesn't.
You are just acting retarded, right?
How is another person's opinion reflective of my own?
And when a study regarding NATION's unemployment is presented, it's only logical to continue talking about NATIONS.

WTF I love Vikings!

US states are basically countries though

Why don't they use the gas money to build green energy?

...

>You get vitamin D from going out in the sun.
You have too much inbred neets who have peanut allergy. USA is kill.

This can be said for regions in any country.
And yet you are judged as a nation.
When something occurs in the US people from other countries don't say "oh, that fucking Wisconsin", they say "oh, those fucking US".

but california and oklahoma have more differences between them than any two regions in your country do including their laws

No idea. The funny thing is in the 60's or government believed they needed to sell the natural resources quickly as everyone would be on green energy soon. Half a century later we did sell a lot of gas, but are pretty much the least green country in Europe.

My guess is because of lobby groups. Shell and the Rotterdam harbor are very influential here.

You literally don't know. And I can't tell either.
And please do inform me where the line is between them being different ENOUGH to be considered.
But sure, we can consider Copenhagen as opposed to any city in Greenland (Part of the Kingdom of Denmark, and as such Danish), and I'm sure we'll see a larger difference than between any of your two states.

Greenland the place on a separate continent than your own country with 50k people on it? I like how you had to choose the most extreme example to even have a case.

How many regions in Denmark have vastly different tax laws from other regions for example? In the US literally every state has a different tax code.

Wow USA great!

Its not really that people are unemployed. Murrica is a big fucking place, public transport is shit if youre outside a big city so you need a car to get anywhere in this meme country.

Public transport is always shit outside of big cities it requires $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ to transport a lot of people.

That said you can still ride your bike

We just had our first Christmas eve where we produced more than 100% of the total power consumption for the day, because of the strong winds!

>My butthurts
That doesn't exprain why you're unemployed, shitposters.

What do you do with extra power if its >100%???

I am a housewife so like I don't need to get a job and I don't have to atm.

Sell it, or store it in batteries, I assume.
I'm not expert on the subject, haha.

Let this post be yet another reminder to my friends around the world that responding to American posts is utterly pointless.
