Eventually, social upheaval, mass immigration from the third world, and/or cold wars between superpowers going hot, will knock down the globalist order, and without our technology and prosperity (which are taken for granted, and maintained by a relative handful of specialists), western civilization will fully collapse. There is no rival culture to replace it. It must either be preserved (which will mean a vicious, uphill battle to restore the social supports of western civilization), or rebuilt after the fall (which mass-immigration may render impossible).
