Got a recordable VHS tape yesterday at Goodwiil.
Tried asking Sup Forums what to put on it, no help.
What do you guys think I should put on it?

Suicide... Yours

What equipment do you have? Camcorder or just a VCR?

VCR and a capture card.

make some gore flicks or scary shit and make copies - itll be like a new fad, making mini movies and people just leave them in public to be discovered

Like put out-of-context scenes on there, then donate it back? That could work.

Record yourself posting on Sup Forums, solving captchas and making quality contributions and so on.

I was thinking about doing something like these. Would you guys be interested?

No, that's stupid.

...

Id be interested

Really? What movie?

Because I was thinking about doing a horror film like Babadook. You got any other recommendations?

Long kiss goodnight

But that was already out on VHS. I was thinking about doing a modern film (i.e. last 5-10 years)

LA Confidential

The void

I had dvd copies of the unaltered Star Wars trilogy. I copied them to tape for my cousin's kids so they could see the originals like I did. (Though my old vhs were sadly fullscreen.)

Only if you tell people they'll die in 7 days

I actually tossed out boxes of vhs with off the air recordings since I bought them on dvd or downloded copies.

Drive

I had totally forgotten about that movie. I might just do that if there are no other recommendations.

Same. dude.

I've tossed out over 300 pounds of VHS tapes, I know because I took them in a U-Haul to the dump. Mostly content that isn't available to pirate. I considered ripping it all but Internet people are just so obnoxious these days that I didn't bother.

Why didn't you just donate them or sell them?

OP here. Here's the narrowed down options:

Drive, The Void or Kung Fury

The first person with a 5 at the end of their post number wins.

*gets to pick. Sorry.

>he doesn't do all his kino-viewing exclusively on VHD.

Threesome with your grandparents.

lemonparty

This.

What about CED?

Drive

>you will never give Nan the ol lickaroo as your Pop Pop takes your little brown mound to pound town and fills you with his octogenarian goofjuice then Nan slurps it out and you three way jizzswap kiss passionately

;_;

>tfw the mental image will never leave

Problem Child 2

my dad spent thousands on his laser disc collection

the quality on those things is amazing though

Mmm... Laserdisc...

There you go OP, you gotta film a three way with your grandparents.

They were bootlegs.

I'm the OP. That was actually me who posted that. I should probably stop talking.

The void

Porn.

You'll need it after the rapture.

>all these peasants that don't own CED

Do tv's even have VHS jacks on them anymore?

Yes and if they don't there's adapters

Don't

>vhs jacks

RCA stereo jacks
And no, most dont.
When the analog TV tuners and COAX went away, so did the RCA jacks. Its all digital now, so HDMI

I think that's just a mock-up box. I was gonna do movie and all.

Hacksaw Ridge

OP here. It's 1am where I live, so here's what we're gonna do. The very next request is what I'm putting on the tape. It can be anything except porn or actual death, but other than that, the very next request gets it.

Moonlight

You win! Oscar bait, here I come!

Hard Mode: Record over it again and again multiple times, to create that scratched, dodgy print effect. I think it might add something to Moonlight. I recommend taping over it using The Thing, because that's a very blue film and some of it might come through. And subtextually the alien is like that negro's repressed homosexuality.

So, record The Thing first, then record over it with Moonlight like 6 times. Got it.

Sounds good. Turn the contrast and colour right up when you record The Thing.

Beautiful.

>buying vhs tapes

fun fact, back in the 80s, a single tape could cost as much as $30

...

So, the same price as Blu-Rays now.

this is fucking dumb. Coming straight from a VHS collector. Most new movies are already on VHS from bootleg companies so it's not like you are doing anything new.

Hey, I'm bored. What can I say?

Sorry, I meant to say BLANK tapes. The film companies really didnt want people recording stuff back then

This senpaifamily.

Braveheart, The River Wild, Water world, and if you can fit it, an episode of MTV's Cartoon Sushi.

>$30 for like an hour of recording
