How come no one draws spiderman 2099 suit correctly now days? It was supposed to be black(shiny)

How come no one draws spiderman 2099 suit correctly now days? It was supposed to be black(shiny).

Haven't read any 2099, but if I remember correctly from previous threads, I think it's supposed to be another costume.

It's a different costume.

Black with blue highlights makes it blue.

>regular spiderman is red and blue
>spiderman 2099 was totally red and black guys!
you know how we know it wasn't shiny black?
Venom is shiny black
and he fights Venom 2099 and is clearly a hell of a lot more blue than him

This pic makes my nipples hard.

the new costume just can´t compare, one of the best things that came from the 90´s

The original 2099 suit was a day of the dead costume made of unstable molecules, because Migel parties HARD.

Regular Spider-Man is supposed to be red and black

It's blue your mongoloid.

There is literally no proof of this. Stop being a gullible moron. This rumor needs to die.

yeah, but look at 616 Venom from the 90's. fucker looks blue there too (especially when drawn by Bagley).
There was also an issue of 2099 where one of Miguel's villains (I think the bounty hunter, Venture) calls him "the man in black."
Miguel's costume is red on black.

...

...

...

Hey look, symbiote black suit spidey is black with blue highlights, guess it is actually his blue suit guys.

If MARVEL Studios were to ever make a SPIDER-MAN 2099 live-action movie or TV series, they ought to do it similar to the Shattered Dimensions video game.

There's a difference between the two you twit. Black suit is black with blue highlights. 2099 is blue with black highlights. It was never supposed to be black, but it wasn't supposed to be such a light shade of blue as the one used these past years.

That's a third party statue. Its wrong. Find me a single line in any Spider-Man comic that specifically states that the costume was red and black.

All I need is a single line.

Pro tip: you can't.

>What are inking techniques?

Does it hurt being this stupid?

>can't actually tell if its black with blue shading or blue with black shading

Thats pretty neat actually

You can tell, though. Stop being stupid.

I think Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions should have had Rino Romano as Miguel instead of Dan Gilvezan. Rino can pull off a Latino accent pretty well.

you fags can fight over blue and black till you die so long as we all agree the new 2099 is the worst spider costume in history.

My nigga

we do agree, that's why we argue his only true suit.

The new Spider-Man game that just got announced is worse imo.

1.) The spider is white and doesn't match any of the suit aside from the shitty hands.
2.) The spider's style doesn't mesh well with the rest of the suit (it's very movie Civil War movie-like for the most part and therefore angular and not stylized like the spider itself)

>Black highlights
Are you slow in the brain?

Just like the X-Men, the original Spider-Man costume has black rather than blue. The use of blue to shade the costume was a poor decision, because later artists interpreted the costumes as being blue with heavy shading, changing the costume designs forever.

The Romita design is Spider-Man's best though, so it's no great loss.

Personally, I actually like the spider. I was surprised, but I like how the spider stands out just a bit and still kinda fits. Plus the gloves.

Personally, I like the more angular, polygonal design of the spider and eyepieces of Miggy's new costume, but all the white just fucking ruins it for me. They should keep the new design but the old color scheme.

...

...

>assblasted so hard he cant even rebut it.

Who else hyped?

Yeah, its blue, mouth breather. I know its hard detect inking techniques when you have trouble even figuring out how to survive on a day to day basis.

But I have hope that you'll figure it out one day.

...

Blue or black, Miguel's original costume is by far my favorite Spider-Suit.

His current one isn't awful, but it seriously pales in comparison.

>inking techniques back in the 60's meant that black was higlighted with blue.

>first appearance of spider-man is black highlgihted with blue.

>its actually blue

>being this dumb.

I bet you think the X-Men are blue too.

>inking techniques back in the 60's meant that black was higlighted with blue.

No. Heavy blacks were used to offset for high print costs for color inks, troglodyte. This isn't rocket science.

>Original X-Men designs are canonically and officially black and yellow
>Has lots of blue highlights

>Spider-Man is almost exclusively black with barely noticable blue highlights

>SOMEHOW THIS MEANS HIS ORIGINAL DESIGN WAS BLUE DESPITE HAVING EVEN LESS BLUE HIGHLIGHTS THAN THE OFFICIALLY BLACK AND YELLOW X-MEN

Funny how everyone arguing that the suit is blue are completely ignoring this.

Whose bitch that is?

What is this even supposed to prove?

The black and yellow x-men designs are literally more blue than the original spider-man you dumb faggot just accept that the original ditko spider-man was black and red.

Also: prove 2099 was black and red too like OG Spider-Man.

Eat a bowl of Captain Cunts with some of daddys milk you taint licker.

Explain all the black hair that was rendered with blue highlights

Yeah its really bad, i was picking up 2099 before secret wars because it was still by David and the art was serviceable... but god damn that went downhill fast, and it's not because im hungup on the new costume.

the classic series is the only one anyones going to remember or care about in the long run

>"Alchemax wants your black-clad butt"

First page, last panel.

>"How many more die will depend entirely on the man in black"

Second page, last panel.

2099 was Black and Red.

>BLACK

Are you so retarded you're unable to read more than a few sentences?

>accept that the original ditko spider-man was black and red.
When you provide a line of dialogue from a comic that explicitly states that the costume is black, I'll concede.

Until then, you're just a blind faggot.

Original Amazing Fantasy 15 cover set during the day. Blue or Black?

It's right in the picture. It's Sandwoman.

Blue.

>line of dialogue

Faggot i just provided you with a picture.

And the other fagioli provided you with dialogue of the even BLUER 2099 being black and red.

Are you ReAnonymator 3: Beyond Retarded™?

I bet you think the black suit is blue too dont you.

And 2099 is blue.

And the original X-Men are blue.

And Cap is black.

Look faggots, why not just say his goddamn suit is really dark navy blue and just go back to jerking off to pictures of cartoon feet or whatever the fuck it is you all do in the brief times you're not squabbling on a Tibetan yak herding image board.

>Tibetan yak herding image board.

...

>i just provided you with a picture.
And where does it SAY that its black anywhere on that picture?

Well artistically speaking, pictures are a form of written expression via images rather than text, so as such its written in the lines and colors displayed on the image.

AKA you're fucking dumb, use your eyes, dipshit.

because the suit should not have surived the 90s

But you'll just conveniently ignore the dialogue specifically stating the 2099 costume is black right?

Faggot.

They keep making Venom figures blue too so don't take the toys as evidence.

>artistically speaking, pictures are a form of written expression via images rather than text

You realize we're talking about a comic, right? Where the art works together with the text.

Take off the art school fedora.

>blue Venom figures
...where?

Hey cunt, what about these?
And Venom is obviously blue then, right?

His red is clearly pink, his eyes are clearly khaki.

Why cant you accept that he was originally designed with Red and Black in mind (traditionally darker tonal colors associated with villains, due to his poor public relation in-universe) and later changed to blue.

I have even a purple venom one, and there's a bright blue batman beyond as well

Erik Larson did few issues were he unceremoniously reverted Spidey's costume back to Red/Black just to see the reaction from fans.
People liked it but it was murder on the newsprint.

I love the art on that run

>And Venom is obviously blue then, right?
>What is "context"?

Notice there is a difference in how the highlights are displayed? Yeah, there is a reason for that.

You're right, Spider-Mans highlights are fewer and overall he has more black than Venom.

So Spider-Man is superblack.

I always felt 2099 was a metallic blue, not black.
But 90's inking really makes it hard to tell sometimes.

And what about the black clad text in 2099?

Still ignoring that, faggot?

>Notice there is a difference in how the highlights are displayed? Yeah, there is a reason for that.
Yeah he has even less blue than Venom, a character literally described as wearing a living black costume.

Are you retarded?

...

>moving goalposts
>still has more blue on him than AMF 15 Spidey.

But what about those Venom pictures where he's more blue than Spider-man, faggot.

AND YOU STILL haven't addressed 2099 Spidey specifically being called black clad, twice.

>still has more blue on him than AMF 15 Spidey.
>confirmed to be blind.

>Venom has blue lines permeating his whole figure

>Spider-Man has blue lines on some of his figure, most cloaked in pure blackness

Are YOU blind?

Hint: "90's art"

Are you literally retarded.

>Venom has blue all over him, that means he's black!
>Spider-Man is black with blue highlights so you can make out muscles, that means he's blue!

And this faggot.

>Hint: "90's art"

>Pic related in below post also 60's artwork of costumes confirmed in canon to be black and yellow with more blue than spider-man

user...

>>Venom has blue all over him, that means he's black!
>>Spider-Man is black with blue highlights so you can make out muscles, that means he's blue!

So you just admitted to OG Ditko Spidey being black and red.

Was in reference to artwork like:

>>Venom has blue all over him, that means he's black!
>>Spider-Man is black with blue highlights so you can make out muscles, that means he's blue!

Yes faggot we're trying to argue that AMF 15 Spider-Man was black and red using Venom, a character canonically black colored, as an example as he has more blue on him in nearly any appearance compared to Ditko Spider-Man.

So?

Both of those examples are of designs where the color containing blue highlights i confirmed to be black, and yet have more blue than 60's ditko spider-man.

... Yes.

Sorry, as you quoted my post as well I thought you were arguing against my case using retarded logic, as the one who has been trying to argue the suits were originally blue has been retarded the entire time.

>>Venom has blue all over him, that means he's black!
Hold up do you actually think Venom is blue?

Thing is, during the early issues, Miguel (and by extension Lyla) explicity refer to the suit as black. But later on it becomes obvious the blue is more than just highlight. So I tend to asume the suit is in fact blue.

No I don't, I'm trying to show how stupid that logic is.

And that he's yet to address 2099 Spider-Man being specifically called black, despite multiple posts all pointing to it.

"Now. My xmen I have used my telepathy to link you to one another. Strike!
Cyclops optic punch now!
Marvel girl use....mind lady stuff to emasculate him
Beast, swing into that jew and beat his dick to mash potatoes with your grotesque monkey feethands!
Iceman a...snowball then
And angel....
Angel did you bring a fucking bazooka!?"

>Angel realizes he has no real offensive abilities so he just carries around a fucking gun.

>Beast, swing into that jew and beat his dick to mash potatoes with your grotesque monkey feethands!
Now I can't stop imagining professor X communicating with the X-men through tp in battle. But he's just this disgusting racist lunatic because he has no filter.

holy shoot i think im gonna make a thread about racist telepathic Prof X now, thanks anons.

This is fuckin hilarious.

Semi Related, but I suppose ink-prices are the reason why blue is so prominent in comics?

Say Beast, Mystique or Night Crawler for example?

I think it has more to do with the fact that mixing blues was easier than grays and browns. Think about how many metallic objects used a very light blue for shadowed areas, for instance.

Yeah. Same reason Hulk just suddenly was green with no explanation after having been introduced as grey.
Printing technology back then was finicky.

I've always thought it was intended to be a very dark blue, so much that it almost looks black in most lighting.

Shattered Dimensions and Edge of Time get it about right.
