"Everything in existence is shit and I hate it."

-Alan Moore

FUCK the jews.

He's not wrong.

*tips*

He just has standards.

He's not wrong. Society these days in the shitter. I'd be pissed too if DC made my creations canon without my permission

>Wah he doesn't like the children's books I read

"Everything in existence is amazing and I love it."

- Alan Moore

>he said bad things about an industry he worked in for years and I obsess over! He must be a total asshole who hates everything
Grow up

>these days
It has always been in the shitter

I disagree with him on many things, including themes in his work, but I appreciate him as a free-thinker with original things to say. Open to criticism, acknowledges problems. As an artist, I think that's admirable.

The "High Society", "Church and State" and "Jaka's Story" storylines are some of the greatest comics of all time.

The fact that the author is a schizophrenic madman with his later work doesn't negate the glory of his earlier work.

Go read it sometime.

>I will spit nothing but venom at DC!

pretentious cunt

>I HATE ALAN MOORE BECAUSE HE HATES EVERYTHING
>wait, Alan Moore likes things?
>I MEAN, I HATE ALAN MOORE BECAUSE HE LIKES THINGS
This thread, huh?

>Moore likes Hellboy and Planetary

WHAT?

The idea of a "bitter, hateful Moore" is just a meme from casuals who think that an attack on the Big Two is an attack on all of comics.

>What my buddies and people I never met wrote
Anyone he actually ever gets to know he turns on, he's a piece of shit. Steve Bissette doesn't even know why Moore hates him.

"The only way to make a story great is Rape"

-Alan Moore

Neonomicon is garbage claiming to be satire.

>Neonomicon

implying thats the only thing Alan Moore has used rape in

>Open to criticism, acknowledges problems.

I haven't dug too deeply, but a lot of the time his response seems to be either dismissing it as overreactive and possibly agenda-driven nonsense or essentially going, "Yeah, it's shit... and by admitting that I win, SO THERE!"

My exact same response, word for word.

I know it's not, but it's porn for the sake of porn claiming to exist to showcase Lovecraft's fear of sex without doing anything other than "show the sex rites", which trades the horror for disgust. He's done worse (he did claim that porn shouldn't be so shallow while drawing his own stuff), but nothing else bastardized a separate work.
I don't know how gracious he is, but he's against the Zen-Pencils-TROLLS idea of criticism. Now that I think about it, he's a lot like Miyazaki, only with less "hits" himself.

How do you know that he's never met those creators?

Just a gut feeling?

In Amazing Heroes interview with Steve Bissette he talks about only getting correspondence from Moore from the DC offices, either scripts or complaints. He mentioned Rick Veitch having the same problem

So, based on his professional interactions with two people, you're assuming that he's never met anybody else?

You could have just said "Yeah, it's a gut feeling".

That's a DC problem, by the way. Not an Alan Moore problem. Creators have been discouraged from interacting directly, and encouraged to only communicate through their editors.
