...

the only movie worth watching this year so far is it comes at night

well..i bet logan would be okay, i havent seen it, but the little girl flipping around going batshit is dumb in my opinion

>get out is shit because the plot is incoherent and the movie exists as a hamfisted political statement more than anything else

>guardians of the galaxy is shit because its just explosions and eye candy and quips, dont get me wrong its probably fun to watch one time but its just not a big deal

>beauty and the beast...seriously? i mean come on

>logan? fun, competent movie. sure

>it comes at night is alright, lots of witch vibes, nice to see a movie with restraint and mystery instead of jumpscares

>boss baby......

>split? never heard of it, probably shit

>wonder woman is eh. gal gadot cant act, miscast, jewface etc, terrible CGI not worth it

>life is just gay and generic and not worth any time seriously who gives a fuck when i could watch alien

>ghost in the shell is a joke, not that the source material is legendary but another aging fat kike lady in a role neither she nor the team understands, that was a really unnecessary movie

>>split? never heard of it, probably shit
kys

all shit except logan, split and WW

kys

The others are alright.

You have a pretty decent list there, op

Weak year so far desu

I haven't even seen 10 movies this year but Patriots Day I guess was my favorite that and Kong

Well what else is there, m8?

I also really enjoyed T2, but I can't count it as separate movie

No Trace of Accelerator
Möbius
Everything
The Project
Still the Earth Moves
Cruel Optimism
Delphi Falls
DESCENT
El Mar La Mar
Paris Is a Moveable Feast

1. Get Out
2. A Silent Voice

>Putting BLM the movie, CGI part 2: The Squeakuel and the Animalfucker remake in front of Logan
Actually get necked, it's like you took the only ten movies you've seen this year and put them in random order.

Split // M. Night Shyamalan, USA
Song to Song // Terrence Malick, USA
Le fils de Joseph // Eugene Green, France
The Lost City of Z // James Gray, UK
Ghost in the Shell // Rupert Sanders, USA
Personal Shopper // Olivier Assayas, France
A Cure for Wellness // Gore Verbinski, USA/Germany
Raw // Julia Ducournau, France
Resident Evil The Final Chapter // Paul WS Anderson, Canada
John Wick Chapter 2 // Chad Stahelski, USA
Alien Covenant // Ridley Scott, UK
King Arthur Legend of the Sword // Guy Ritchie, UK

Post yfw Life is a thinly veiled Venom prequel
>mfw

So you've seen 10 new films this year?

the best so far

I've not seen any movies in theater this year. Everything is shit.

with that attitude of course it is

Wonder Woman and that's it

is Life any good? for some reason I can't bring myself to watch anything with Ryan Renolds in it. I can't quite explain it but I just hate his face so fucking much.
Is Life good enough that it would make look past my irrational hatred or just validate it?

look, the movie is basically a rip-off of Alien but is quite good anyway and Ryan Reynolds dies at the beginning

CALVIN

thank you, i'm going to give it a shot

Is it bad that I haven't watched a movie since 2014? Have I missed anything?

>beauty and the beast...seriously? i mean come on

Not an Argument.

>logan? fun, competent movie. sure

Compared to the rest of the movies it's a masterpiece. Can you say it doesn't belong?

>boss baby......

Not an argument.

A Cure For Wellness, Split, Personal Shopper. There's been a few other good ones, but those are the only ones really worth mentioning.

Is Raw that good? I've heard mixed things.

>Get Out
>Beauty and the fucking Beast
>Boss Baby (has to be memeing)
>Life

Get rid of those and you have a pretty decent list

Besides Boss Baby, Ghost in the Shell and Beauty and the Beast (all shit), I agree

Nobody mentioned this. Pathetic

...

>life
>a good movie

Pick one

I'm just gonna mostly mention films from ~2016 I saw in 2017.

The Lost City of Z
Allied
Sully
Silence
Hacksaw Ridge
Live by Night
Hell or High Water
Hail Caesar
Logan
Crimson Peak
Blackhat
El hombre de las mil caras
The Fury of a Patient Man
A Monster Calls
The Age of Shadows
The Handmaiden
The Wailing
The Taking of Tiger Mountain
Three (Johnnie To)

I'm saddened by the disappearance of "middle" films, seems like there's nothing between soulless blockbusters and small films (progressist propaganda, self-indulgent arthouse or high-concept no-budget exploitation) anymore. Great old-fashioned films like Lost City of Z, Silence or Allied get ignored, because they're not virtue-signaling or gimmicky. Also seems like Spain and Korea are the only countries still attached to making populist genre films with a high level of artistry.

Agree. Lost City of Z, Silence and Allied are underrated.

It's hard to decide which films count as 2016 and which ones count as 2017.

Reddit: The List

Fuck off OP, you're list is generic as fuck there's no point at all for you to show it off

>so far
ask me in a couple of months when the rips come out

>Logan, guardians of the gayaxy and wonder woman on this many lists

So it's true, reddit has taken over

Most of authentic Sup Forums has spread out to other chans I just come here to shitpost and troll the reddit invaders

>logan
>not good

pick one

What exactly do you like about it other than muh grimdark narrative and edgy power fantasy? What exactly separates it from all the other garbage capeshit released this year?

I haven't seen it but
> capeshit
> good
> ever

this site is 18+
please leave

the power of cunnyposters

>pretends to hate super hero movies in order to be superior and intellectual
>tells other people to leave because the site is 18+

Oh, the irony.

I've been thinking and I'm pretty sure Logan wouldn't have been so shit if it was pg13 instead of r18. There's so much shit that's been shoehorned and shoved in based on the r rating that the screenplay would've honestly been better and less contrived making for a more natural and coherent narrative that doesn't make me cringe at every blood splatter and f bomb. I'd say it's the fight club of this generation because it appeals to that same new age cynical demographic, except it's not even good at all

1. Wonder Woman
2. Logan
3. Guardians of the Galaxy 2
4. Pirates of the Caribbean
5. John Wick 2
6. The Lego Batman Movie
7. Get Out
8. The F8 of the Furious
9. Kong: Skull Island
10. Alien: Covenant

I don't think I've seen a single movie that came out this year

Who the fuck actually likes Split?

split is 2016

What a shit year for film it's been

I liked Anya's tits, I liked the end twist. The rest of the film was just meh

Looks like Sup Forumsmblr has escaped it's containment board again

I honestly haven't watched a single film that released this year.

Jonhn Wick Chapter 2
Wonder Woman
Logan
Kang Kong
Alien Covenant

why not?

>thousands of thousands of films already made and ready to be enjoyed
>except you sit around watching nothing but modern maximum cooperate shill capeshit

Honestly how can you watch all this predictable samey bullshit filled with samey forgettable nepotismed actors

what do you like?

kino

There was just nothing that got my attention, honestly.

...

You can't find good indie stuff on the internet

You have to go out and find it yourself

oh c'mon

You spend so much time watching film and this is really how you spend it? Absolutely doing nothing to broaden you understanding of what film is capable of?

Why? So you can watch the same story rehashed the 20th time? So you can watch the same bland actors mumble the same hammy writing?

It doesn't matter what I like or what you like, what matters is not wasting your fucking time with movies from films lowest artistic point. Reach out and fucking learn something.

again, what films do you like? I'm not asking you in an agressive why, just curious and maybe I can get some good movies from you, there's no need to be rude

agressive way-*

is this bait?

idk it is?

>this site is 18+
>please leave
I've noticed (at work) that most people tend to like children's movies and Transformers-tier garbage well into their 20s (and that's without kids).

A good lot of them *never* really grow out of it.

no, why?

lurk more

>the little girl flipping around going batshit is dumb in my opinion

cant tell if this is bait or serious

John Wick 2 is the only movie so far that I actually wanted to see. The rest I watched were just because I was bored. Logan perhaps or GoG2. Colossal was a colossal piece of shit so surprised to see it mentioned unironically.

John Wick 2

Wonder Bleeder

Logan

Guardians of The Penis #2

Split was whatever in all honesty, M Night Shamaymay just pisses me off desu. He will NEVER do another 6th sense quality movie

My cockhole

>split
>boss baby
>shell
>life

fucking hell kill yourself you absolute pleb

I pick Logan not only being shit in general but also being a BAD capeshit movie too.

why are you talking to me like that?

Then you should check Wonder Woman and Logan

>I came here in 2015

This board has worse taste than /r/movies

Twin Peaks season 3, I haven't seen one film at the theater this year because nothing has really interested me besides John Wick 2

4.) The Lost City of Z
3.) Logan
2.) Song to Song
1.) Free Fire
That's all I've seen that was any good. I could mention 2016 films that I saw in 2017 (like Silence) but that's cheating.

I love how people who consider generic shit like Logan, guardians great movies etc are the only people autistic and eager enough to post their shitty lists. 100% this

I've seen Get Out and Logan. That's it.

>logan higher than song to song
kill yourself
it's depressing, really

i haven't even seen 10 films from this year, let alone enough to make a top 10. there just hasn't been anything good or interesting i've wanted to see. Get Out, Split, and Logan were all good, but beyond that? nothing. i'm looking forward to It Comes at Night though, going to try to see it tomorrow.

what are you talking about? it's easier to find good indie stuff online than it is to find it in theaters or at a store. you just have to be in the right private trackers, or know where to look.

where is Buster's Mal Heart out?

Should be online on most torrent and streaming sites by now.
