Question to all russian Sup Forumsacks

Can someone explain what's the deal with Echo Moscow? It is practically own by Gazprom, but still vows to be "anti government".

Also, Russia Thread.

I also just saw that Sophie Shewardnadze from RT also works for Echo Moscow. What does this mean?

It's what we Russians call "polnaya huynya"

Literally everyone in Russia receives money from Gazprom in some way. Fucking Pussy Riot were funded by the ministry of culture before they went full retard. Political life is non-existant in Russia, the most ingenious an independent politician can come up with here is exchanging votes for vodka. Kremlin has to hire people to be token liberals and cultural marxists.

>the most ingenious thing

- Sergei, we must look like democratic country, ok?
- Why?
- European partners dont deal with tyrans, you dumbass.
- But Saudi Arabia...
- Shut up and listen. Now, organize us a some sort of opposition so it will look like somebody in Russia gives a shit about anything
- Ok

Nation of pigs and savages. No remorse, no mercy towards them.

>Ukraine
Weak bait.

Looks like Ukrainian ministry of information is out and in full force again

So Echo Moscow is controlled opposition?

I read some of its content in Russia; and it seemed as if they were really trying to "enlighten" the general population. Like digging up the dirty agenda of your political class, (there is plenty) or taking a pro-American, pro-Ukrainian stance, which is a taboo on state TV.

So what is the point? The situation in Russia is really risky, given the grotesque corruption and inequality during economic hardship faced by the general population.

He's right though

...

Situation in Russia is not that risky. Everybody just loves overestimate everything.

>it seemed as if they were really trying to "enlighten" the general population.

By telling them they are "shit tier bydlo who must be stripped from right to vote"? Fine, then.

Liberal media exists only for liberals. They collectively jerk each other's dick and fantasize about living in the West. Nothing more, really.

>ike digging up the dirty agenda of your political class

SKR and FSB now doing it way better, finally.

>which is a taboo on state TV.

Taking pro-Ukraine position is difficult if you have at least a some kind of brain activity. They just fucked everything up.

Does Ukraine deserve to exist, bratan?

Of course. I just dot want to have anything with them.

Thats called controlled "opposition."

how long will it take until hohols come back on their knees bratan?

They can "enlighten" the 10% of people who will listen to them all they want. It's not a real opposition, just a big escapist movement. They don't have any influence and aren't even trying to gain attention of the rest of population. In fact, they are so unpopular most people would vote for Putin just in order to not let them be the ones in charge.

>the grotesque corruption and inequality during economic hardship faced by the general population.
Nobody gives a shit. Most of the adult population lived under communism and during 90s when there were cartel-style gang wars on the streets. Compared to that a 20% drop in purchasing power is fucking nothing.

Dont know. Ukraine is unpredictable.

I secretly hope that this will separate us eternally.

> lived under communism and during 90s when there were cartel-style gang wars on the streets. Compared to that a 20% drop in purchasing power is fucking nothing.

Pretty much this, the secret of Putin popularity.

Is this a daily russian shill thread?

Do they have a right to exist or are they just Russians and Poles with a fucked up language made by some cockhole national poet?

hi, cockhole

If they want to be a solar entity - let them. They have their own part of USSR, they are openly free to do anything they want.

Damn my shitty english. I mean they have their own part of USSR - they can do whatever they want there. I dont like Vlad interfering with them, but Crimean operation was pretty funny and, I guess, necessary. But nothing more

the only way ukraine can exist is as a parasite country they need a suggerdaddy they can live from so once EU money is cut off they will be at your doorsep if you want it or not they will be there

Its "liberal" echo chamber, anti Putin and anti Russia to the max. its main editor attempted to maintain some kind of objectivity and proffessionalism for years - but it length gone, and now its just a shithole circlejerk of liberals offended that no one loves them.

Gazprom owns it and doesnt interfers with it since it actually brings profits, being popular and bringing advertisement money.

I don't know man, I don't support separatism in countries that shouldn't be separate from anything. For example, look at the former Yugoslavian Republic of Macedona. They are all ethnic Bulgarians who have a completely fake history and culture stolen from Greeks. They belong to Bulgaria. Likewise, I am very uncertain about whether Ukraine should be independent.

>t. half Russian, half "Ukrainian" (Crimeans with roots from Kozel'sk)

>Political life is non-existant in Russia
Anyone else hate subhuman 2ch libtards?

This makes me depressed. Budget is tight and even possibility that there will be "money for our partner and brother" makes me butthurt.

I sometimes think its over with Ukraine. They are somehow different, young ones especially. Let them have their way. Russia is not that powerful, eating 40mln of people and transforming largest country in Yurop into itself is not possible, not with our incompetent fucks.

Look at the Crimea - it takes years to integrate it and still local authorities still money even from Putin's controlled project. They were given chance with tourism - they are fucking it up and so on.

But that is the reality. People solving their problems, authorities - their. Everyone is weirdly happy.

Echo is not controlled, its owned - they can do whatever the hell they like. There is no point "controlling" opposition in Russia - since letting them speak and giving platform is the best way they`ll never come to power and stay marginal 1% no one cares about.

"Controlled" opposition would be something like artificial parties as Spravedlivaya Rossiya - which were create basically since there was no rival force at all.

"Echo" kind of opposition are pro western liberals that hate Russia and everything Russian - and Kremlin realizes best way to keep them irrelevant, is to let them be heard: so that people would learn to be disgusted by them.

There was a guy some threads ago who tryed to ask russian something, but no one comes. This is a chance for you guys to ask russians answers.

dont worry I think EU will keep paying them for at least 2 years from now

Echo Moscow is run by Jews
One of my uncles listens to it all the time because he really hates Putin
It exists because there are plenty of people in Russia who would be butthurt if it got shut down and doesn't really harm the government
I also think it does give a different perspective from rossiya and other tv channels

I second this post.

Kremlin desperately trying to start democratic process, creates fake parties to create rivals, even created concurent to ER, ONR. Now we have "primaries", lol, what a circus it was. No success, Vladimir, country doesnt want to abandon dream about Tsar.

This is correct though. In fact, goverment tries by all means to actually motivate and teach people to actually give a fuck about politics and get involved.

Because centralazied management of such vast territory is impossible. If people in Kamchatka would sit and solve their own problems - Kremlin would have more spare time to do some kremlin shit, lol.

But no, people wait that Tsar will personally force some firm in Sakhalin to pay salary debts.

All Russian media is consolidated into holding companies with direct government ties, whether it be through PerviyKanal, VGTRK, GazpromMedia, or the State corporation RT (RossiyaSegodnya)

At the current rate of depopulation (and it wasn't slowing down for 25 years) there will be about 20 million people living in Ukraine in a decade. They can do whatever they want, we'll just take the clay when they are all gone.

I haven't been to 2ch since 2012. I am just trying to be realistic about our situation. There are no real parties that are trying to gain votes. There are no massive grassroot political movements. Some life just started to appear during the last 4 or 5 years but it's still in a delicate stage. Kremlin aknowleges it. They even allowed independents to be on the United Russia candidates lists this year. They are trying to kickstart the process but nothing is working, people are really apathetic.

Can any Russianbros tell me what it would be like for an American to move to Russia if Clinton gets elected?
I can bring bourbon and a hatred of muslims with me.

Usually these holdings companies have a putin appointed "Silovka" at the top. ie- a close trusted ally of Vladimir putin, either an oligarch or a friend from the security services (FSB)

At least i can post some STRANOSHARY and ask russians to translate these.

> Can any Russianbros tell me what it would be like for an American to move to Russia if Clinton gets elected?

Russia is a land of possibiliets. Its possible to become very reach or become very dead. What is your skills?

Can someone translate please?

Please?

These pictures too stupid to be translated.

Bullshit, its all about your connections and who you know. Oh and if you're planning on having some sort of success you can either go to moscow, or peter, (yekatirinburg, and novosibirsk) if you cant afford.

Guys?

Thats plain wrong. Most of russian media is privately held and very big part of printed, online and radio are critical of goverment/represent the agenda of whoever owns them. Reading english and German media, i`d say ours is way more diverse and critical.

TV is the only area where goverment influence is big, but thats mainly because "opposing" media is not really popular and cant maintain itself - people tried, so most private chancels gave up on the political content (not all) and went for entertainment route to be able to make money.

hey Ukraine
I was thinking to visit youe beautiful country since it is pretty cheap now I suppose
>pic related
how is the state over there
can a blonde german go see the attractions and visit some restaurants and bars without being kidnapped and sold for organs?

Please? Guys?

>America is for once not the bitch in a SlavBall

I really don't like these but i still wish for some sort of cheeky translation

Why not just move to Montana?

kys filthy hohol

Hm. Guys, can you please help me?

Ti che peezdish, vse CME v rossiya marianetki Putina, I zhidovskih oligarxov, idi smotri perviy kanal po bolshe umnik.

> Bullshit, its all about your connections and who you kno

Popular myth. The time when you have to had "connections" to do anything is gone in most regions. The generations of young money makers is everywhere. Almost empty market favors it.

>Oh and if you're planning on having some sort of success you can either go to moscow, or peter, (yekatirinburg, and novosibirsk) if you cant afford.

Another popular myth.

Russia is not a single country - its 80+ regions and almost every has its own way of things. I have a lot of business trips around country and see this shit.

Hohol, dont tell me about my country while you dont even have a single trustworthy media in own.

Buddies? Please?

>- Hi USA, I've build a factory that works on your sanctions!
>- Drop all sanctions immediately!
>- Oh no, i will have to close the factory.
>- I'm so clever haha!

How can a ukrainian now know russian?

I think people don't understand this. There was a collapse, and it takes some time to get back. Order is first priority, economy second, freedoms third.

>Russia is not a single country - its 80+ regions and almost every has its own way of things. I have a lot of business trips around country and see this shit.
UNLESS you go to some other region with intent and plan to be part of specific bussines special to this region its fact that Moscow/SPB aer the best places.

You simply earn more, lot more. So unless you are high paid specialist needed in some specific region - Moscow is better. And if same kind of specialist is needed in Moscow, the pay will be better still.

When the Perestroyka came, many relatively open journalist companies (newspapers, TV, radio, etc.) emerged.
When Putin came, he acted cleverly and instead of banning them left and right, he gently put them all under pressure and eventually effectively turned them into governmental propaganda outlets. Echo Moscow was one of the recent companies to fall. Everyone can be corrupted.
atm probably Rain TV is the strongest opposition, but they have been put under pressure too - they gradually lost all broadcasting rights and were forced to spread their programme over Internet only.

I don't know maybe you're right, I lived in belgorod till 2003, then I moved to Canada. When I left russia all I could remeber is a Nation left in the shadow of its former self. I left just after all the 90s bulshit. How much has it changed? can i do business without some faggot bandit gruppa demanding cash? Can I walk the streets at night safely without harrasment? Are Zhidi still running the show?

>were forced to spread their programme over Internet only
They were refused state funded broadcasting rights. They can make deals with private ISPs and cable companies all they want.

"Now I see what your life will become with this", literal translation.

>UNLESS you go to some other region with intent and plan to be part of specific bussines special to this region its fact that Moscow/SPB aer the best places.

But in business you ALWAYS aim at some certain "place".

Moscow has very expensive living, so some regions starting to compete in Salary\Expenses ratio.

>When I left russia all I could remeber is a Nation left in the shadow of its former self

Its not like that in most regions already. Some regions like Kurgan still doing full scale gang wars. Meanwhile their neighbour, Tyumen, will get full featured Gay Pride soon, cause amount of hipsters and liberals is overwhelming. And nobody gives a shit, every regions goes its own way. Its weird when you visit Rostov, Ulan-Ude and Saransk in a month and get three different environment, different mentality everywhere.

>How much has it changed?

IMHO: Every region goes its own way. OVerall country goes...somewhere. At least it didnt conserved 90th and somehow changes.

I saw very different regions and cant tell who will be "master race" after some time.

>Are Zhidi still running the show?

tatar mafia is stronk nowadays, lol

Name me a banned Russian media. The big fight around media did indeed happen, but it was decade ago and was part of fight against oligarchs controlled media empire - Berezovski primarily and some others. Most notorious case being NTV.

Meanwhile theres so many media openly shitting on Putin and writing whatever shit they like, any attempt to pretend theres pressure/censure just reveals either ignorance or idiocy of speaker.

Rain fails because no one watches it or cares about it. Its not "free" media, its exactly the opposite - the media that only survives thanks to money from the west and makes content its told, since no one watches it nor gives it advertisement contracts: its model is just shit. It generates more headlines in western media, than the content it does or number of viewers that care about it.

Controlled opposition. They are allowed to bark but not that loud, just enough to pretend.

Echo Moscow was not "organised". It was genuinely independent liberal media. Long ago. Dat rogue translation during 1991 coup. But it was pacified and put under control one change at time since then.

Sure they can. And they had troubles doing so

I lived in Russia pre 2001, than in Europe, and returned in 2011 - the changes and improvements are immense and truly huge.

That said - normal life and most aspects of state has improved drastically, i woudnt be safe to speak about all regions (living in Moscow), nor the safety of doing bussiness (my family moved out in 2001 because of bandits you mentioned) - there sure is no such shit as in 90ths, but running own bussiness is still a challenge - theres many things to improve yet, but the problems are more burocratic and economic hassle (as opposed to danger, which was before).

no. die.

How? The hell its "pacified"?

If anything, Echo was a good radio station in begining, but in recent years became complete shithole and if anyone is to blame is Venedictov for letting it turn like that. Unless of course, he is paid by Kremlin to not shoot himself being in a room with such number of idiots.

Which region is master race? Personally I come from Moscow, but I have relatives in Crimea, Kaluga and Yaroslavl.

Is it true that dedovschina is still everywhere in the army and it's filled with churkas and hachei?

> Is it true that dedovschina is still everywhere in the army and it's filled with churkas and hachei?

Lots of my friend returning now

- Dedovshina stays, but in more sane amount. Nobody will break you legs and throw out the barack, people got some sort of sanity on this
- Officers are afraid for their asses
- Military Police somehow works. If they see a signs of hits on you - you are dead.
- Churki - well, like always.

>dedovschina is still everywhere in the army and it's filled with churkas and hachei
Three of my ex-classmates were in army in last 3 years, they didn't saw it.

...

>Which region is master race?
NOT Moscow. Moscow should be nuked. That's the only way to MRGA.

So you are from St. Petersburg? Olgino?
