So, why is nothing being done about the Terrigen mists that are going all over Earth?

So, why is nothing being done about the Terrigen mists that are going all over Earth?

I mean, it's been stated to not only kill mutants, but make them sterile. This mist is outright genociding the mutant race, isn't it? Why are the Inhumans doing jack shit about it? And why aren't there more mutants angry about it?

It's shit like this which proved Cyclops point. May he rest in peace knowing that he atleast fought the good fight against the Inhumans.

>Why are the Inhumans doing jack shit about it
The entire premise of All new Inhumans is trying to stop the cloud. The real problem is Marvel didn't manage this well, there is inconsistencies in how the Inhumans feel about the cloud, If and how mutants can avoid it, or even where the damn thing is 90% of the time. The Inhumans have chased it to china in their book but it managed to hit new york like 5 times in other books. A lot of this comes from the cloud being a thing for like a year or so before Marvel decided to make it kill mutants so it really complicated things.
The cloud probably won't be dealt with until Marvel gets that X vs I event that it has been teasing so damn hard.

oh look here we are again, what late 90s, early 2000s? Tons of muta- I'm sorry "Inhumans" manifesting their powers creating a body of faceless nobodies that you can recruit heroes, villains, and superpowered mooks from.

ALL NEW ALL DIFFERENT

>the mist is still a thing
Is this thing sentient? You would've expect something like a cloud to have dispersed by now

>Is this thing sentient?
The Cloud is actually a mutant.

I'm pretty sure the mist shortly after its initial release made some nuhuman that's like electro but controls and creates terrigen rather than electricity

They aren't trying to stop the cloud

They're just cleaning up after its mess

Ever read Wild Cards? It's a book series from like the 80s. If the writers stop the T-cloud, then they can't use ideas from the books as effectively.

So how are they suppose to get rid of a continent size cloud?

Pym Particles

In Finnish "Kamala" means "horrible"

The very first chapter has them collecting samples of it. Their job is to track the cloud, and examine it to find a way to stop it and cure M-pox. They get side tracked because they have to get Inhumans created along the way and try to figure out the sky spears.

Kamal and its plural kamala is a type of hungerian gypsy brownskin highway prostitute here.
It is also a type of high sugar sweet type, that was made back in komunist times, it was brown and the subtitle "A chocolate-like product". Made out of sugar beet, and yes you get this right the beetroots were imported from Hungary.

Well, there is the problem of not knowing how, then there is the fact that many Inhumans see it as a good thing so for someone like Medusa to openly state a desire to get rid of it would cause a...Civil War. Then we have the problem that the Inhumans can barely keep up with the collateral.

Pym Particles & a jar

Have someone hook a teleporter to a dehumidifier. Just keep dropping chunks into the dehu. until it's gone. Or have some Human Torch fly around and burn it up. Or call up the Shi'ar and rent a space whale to eat it. And give rides.

What stops Iceman simply freezing all of it?

Who says it's a problem? fuck mutants

How about Magik using one of her portals or any magic user. There's like a dozen or so reality warpers. Also like cosmic tier characters that would laugh in the face of a cloud.

>The entire premise of All new Inhumans is trying to stop the cloud
No, it's trying to run damage control on the areas that the cloud sweeps over while using the diplomatic access that gives them to sneak into countries and assess threats in case war ever broke out (and that whole Skyspears plotline that I don't think anyone really cares about.)

They're following it, not getting ahead of it.

The fact that, apparently, no one ever tries to clear out in front of the gigantic, maybe turn you into a hideous monster and then you pretty much have to go live with these crazy fucks in the New York bay seems pretty off to me. Doesn't the new Civil War II pre-cog get Inhumaned during an event where people were literally there to watch it wash over them? What the fuck is up with that?

Can't they just hoover that shit up, or have Strange port it into deep space?

In the X-Men Civil War tie in that just came out Storm moves the whole thing away from a city and out to sea with her powers. So she's always had the power to move it but just hasn't? What the actual fuck?

I was about to say

>Storm
>Weather control
>Cloud

Problem solved

This is going to make the inhumans butthurt, isn't it?

They'll probably do an asspull saying the cloud is now sentient and can control where it goes, choosing to wander aimlessly to places with no Inhumans and resisting all attempts to contain or re-direct it.

Sentient cloud? No problem, Jean can order it to go away.

It bitchslaps Jean. Trust me, they will justify it's continued existence SOMEHOW. In the end, it will come down to some powerful being using the cloud as a test, and they have to be convinced that people cannot be divided before it knocks that shit off.

I want X-Club back. With Jeffries' powers they could go from theory to invention in days. What ever happened to super science solving problems?

It has almost religious significance to them
Yep

It's literally killing the mutants affected and it turns inhumans against their will and dozens have been killed in the process already

Inhumans worship mass murder

It was created by black bolt who's an inhuman ultranationalist

If they omly knew of somebody who could control clouds and weather or something like that.

It's not weather.

Anyhow, would it fail to harm mutants with healing factors?

He's too busy being gay.

>So, why is nothing being done about the Terrigen mists
> it's been stated to not only kill mutants, but make them sterile.
Answered your own question.

But user, it creates Inhumans, and Marvel civilians hate those guys too

>Ever read Wild Cards?

It's why I refuse to read or watch GoT. Great idea ruined by its own creator's fetish bullshit.

It's a gas, which rides around on air currents, which there are a handful of mutants that can control

Hell why doesn't Magneto just build an airtight metal box around the thing? If he can tip the planet off it's fucking axis...

The hate mutants more because terrigen caused the m pox

They say in first chapter that they can't keep up, they have been trying.

Except they don't. If anything it is closer to what Magneto was saying in CW X-men, it being a case of choosing their salvation over the mutants. The Inhuman's population is down to the endangered species level and that is the reason Black Bolt set off the bomb as said by Maximus's new Inhuman age line and confirmed in the last Marvel handbook. We just don't know if Medusa feels the same way Black Bolt does, but so far it appears they have been trying and they have not stopped anyone from removing the cloud.

Inhuman population isn't at the endangered species level, they always had small numbers in Attilan because they always stayed in that one damn city. And with the introduction of the hidden tribes like Orollan and Utolan, as well as the countless nuhumans out there mixed into the population, their numbers are higher than ever.

Then have two goddamn ships. One for clean up, one for predicting the cloud's path and intercepting it.

Their city was capable of flying from the Himalayas to the Moon, and then to the rest of the goddamn galaxy. They should be able to build ships that are faster than a goddamn weather phenomenon

GAS THE MUTIES SECRET WAR NOW!!!

>as the countless nuhumans out there mixed into the population, their numbers are higher than ever.
That was the point user, they wanted the cloud to turn Nuhumans and boost their number. Also they not been contact with the other cities, Medusa didn't know what the Terrigen did to the bird Inhumans until they attacked, Ana kravenoff had to lead them to the Inhumans in africa, Doctor strange is the one that found where Lash and Thane's city. It is also implied that BB did this for the incursions t0o but that is irrelevant at this point.

>Their city was capable of flying from the Himalayas to the Moon, and then to the rest of the goddamn galaxy.
Their city can't fly anymore.

>They should be able to build ships that are faster than a goddamn weather phenomenon
The cloud has gilligan's island plot armor. Where despite the many ways the problem could be solved none of them will work because the story isn't ready to end.

They don't have to go through terrigenesis to be inhuman, it just gives them powers. There's no theat to the survival of the Inhuman race, they were completell integrated and invisible. Plus tgat codex thing that Lineage stole at the end of the last volume was supposed to be a detailed record of Inhuman history and genealogy, if Black Bolt had taken some goddamn time he probably could have identified who most of the nuhumans were and found the other tribes without unleashing a green cloud of death on the world

>kills mutants

Are you kidding? I'm surprised a cult hasn't sprouted up to worship it for murdering filthy gene-scum.

I have two guesses as to why that wouldn't be ideal. First having powers is very important to Inhumans culturally and they and Jack Kirby use the moment of Randac first using the mist as when they became Inhumans. Second is eventually they would cease to exist as a people and only live as a small bit of genetic data, we have bits DNA from with Neanderthals and species from the Homo genus but we still consider them as being a extinct. It is a similar situation as why would they need to bring back mutants post house of M when they just had their X-gene repressed as apposed to taken away or being killed.

>It's shit like this which proved Cyclops point
Shut the fuck up with this terrible meme already.

Would you believe Black Bolt if he showed up to your house and wanted to douse you in the green gas because his magic rod said so? Probably not and that would take longer than "global saturation". He chose force and speed over doing it safely.
