I'm not super in love with it but for one thing, I can see why they went in this direction. I'd prefer a more classic-looking Aquaman but there's nothing really WRONG with this direction either.
What's really awful is that this is going to be part of the DCEU and will have had Snyder's touch of death on it. But honestly this could very well what Aquaman needs in the mainstream.
It really isn't all that far off from 90's-era Peter David or Morrison JLA Aquaman, so it's cool.
