Fuck you, I liked it

Fuck you, I liked it.

But how far off are we from an Arthas movie?

>Fuck you, I liked it.
This meme is old and busted. Nobody liked this movie. It was impossible to watch.

It was great, i loved it. Same with pac rim and gits. Dont expect plebs to know

I just watched it as someone with next to no knowledge of WoW, and I thought it was pretty good.

That actor playing Medivh ruined it for me.

for you

Same.

>nobody likes this movie
I thought the general consensus was that it's one of the best game movies out there

...

It's still shit.

It was good and half orc lady was hot.

it was great, f they keep followng the games arthus doesn't show up until WC3, but this one ended with thrall so idk, they could potentially skip straight to 3 I suppose

its too bad they made it for chinks instead of us

garona being cgi would have made it 10x better
she just looked so out of place

>it's one of the best game movies out there

That isn't saying much, if anything.

I'm glad I caught this in theaters

Anyone else get an 80's fantasy movie feel to it? I loved it, hope they do a sequel with Warcraft 2 death knights and some ogres. I'm more interested in this world than capeshit, it's a shame it didn't make much money.

I thought the motivations for the Guardian's actions were really well developed. Like, he feared his own death coming so to cling to life he would desperately adopt any recourse, worlds be damned. It's a fear any person can relate to.

Then someone who knew the lore told me nope, it's some demon thing possessing him and Gul'dan or something. Fuck this movie.

Guldan is one of the most enjoyable villains I've seen in a while. Not the "hrrr it's great being evil must destroy the world" kind, he wants to lead the orcs in his own way, he's brutal and he's jacked as hell despite being a warlock.

Should have made the humans cg warcraft humans as well. All the other races looked great in my opinion. But it was jarring seeing humans that don't look like warcraft humans alongside the other races that more or less were spot on. That said I thought it was a pretty fun movie.

Watched it with a couple friends in theaters and we all liked it. Plus they already confirmed a sequel.

dude he corrupted himself so he wouldn't die lmao

you sound like you enjoy professional wrestling

FUCK YOU, IT WAS SHIT

FUCK YOU, IT WAS GREAT

FUCK YOU IT WAS OBJECTIVELY IRREDEEMABLE GARBAGE FOR IDIOTS

he truly was a glorious, winged faggot

very far unless they condense the storyline in Warcraft II into one 2 hour movie.

I don't know, I'm okay with it.

She didn't actually spent a lot of time among orcs but most of it with humans. Her being CGI would've made her look, well, out of place.

Gonna need sauce on that.
I desperately want there to be a sequel.

FUCK YOU, YOUR POSTS ARE IRREDEEMABLE GARBAGE FOR IDIOTS

FUCK YOU BOTH WHY ARE WE YELLING

FUCK YOU LOUD NOISES

i love warcraft and the movie was shit

the king guy sacraficing himself for no reason was fucking gay

the set design and costumes looked fucking awful, i know the warcraft aesthetic is weird but still

it was also violent and depressing, but not in a cool or grimdark kind of way, just in a way that felt forced and awful

4/10 movie honestly

literally no way anyone could enjoy that movie if that DIDNT love warcraft. no way

This movie was shit and you're shit for liking it.

FUCK YOU DUNCAN JONES IS A TOTAL HACK AND SHOOTING BAD VIDEO GAME MOVIES FOR CHINA MAKES HIM A WHORE

as of February blizzard said their going to make two, now? who knows, but they made a shitload in asia so its not unlikely that if china provides financing WC2 will happen

FUCK YOU YOUR A TOTAL HACK AND WRITING BAD POSTS MADE FOR PLEBS MAKES YOU A WHORE

I hope your right

>the king guy sacraficing himself for no reason was fucking gay
Well he wasn't really sacrificing himself as such, he was about to die regardless, he just let Garona kill him so that she could live.

>pleb hasn't seen Moon or Source Code
You've got to go back.

its basically guaranteed blizzard loves money

FUCK YOU GET SOME TASTE THIS MOVIE IS PURE TRASH EVEN BY Sup Forums STANDARDS DONT FORGET TO DEFLECT LIKE A RETARD AS YOU CONTINUE TO LOSE BY NOT CHALLENGING THE POINTS

HE HAS TO GO BACK, TO CHINA

>even by Sup Forums standards
as far as I know those kiddies hated it cause it wasn't MUH WOW story, who gives a fuck what Sup Forums thinks?

CAPSLOOOOOCCCCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The orc parts were fantastic, if it had been entirely from their perspective it would have succeeded.

Not since I was 8. But I might've if it involved magic, giant robots and monsters and had high production values.

They should have made two movies and given simultaneous releases. One from the Horde perspective the other from the Alliance.

for me it wasn't an 80s fantasy it was like a really high budget 90s Hercules, loved it

I never played Warcraft and I had no idea what this movie was trying to achieve. Also, Dominic Cooper should be designated to only tv shows. He phoned it in hard on this movie.

>They should have made two movies and given simultaneous releases. One from the Horde perspective the other from the Alliance.
has this ever been done?

That sounds a little over-ambitious and costly.

no, there'd be no reason to release them at the same time, they'd be competing against each other. maybe 6 months to a year apart would work.

Ben Foster was pretty crazy in 3:10 to Yuma
He always plays psychos well

the casting in this is the worst part by far. Khadgar, the king, and Medivh were atrociously fucking bad, especially Khadgar, his acting was porn tier.

The main guy was okay but still wasn't very good.

Now that you've said that, I'm kinda curious why they didn't do that (aside from it costing twice as much and having no chance of earning the money back).

letters from iwo jima and flags of our fathers

How is there no "knowyourmeme" page for this classic meme?

don't care I'm just glad it survived

With some good actors and a tweak in the writing, this movie would be super. Sadly, quite awfully did everyone deliver their lines and overall their performances were terrible. The orc scenes wound up being the best because there was no sore thumb retard actor, and the cgi was pgud.

which is one of the reason these movies didn't work

I thought he played Medivh quite well, but the way they wrote Medivh was fucking retarded.

This movie was all over the place, terribly inconsistent and the best moments are average, the rest of it is hot garbage. The CG was apparently supposed to be the main attraction, but it fucking sucked ass. Often times the backgrounds seemed pasted on. It was an awful movie in its own right, and it was a very retarded adaptation of Warcraft. The source material is very simple stuff, not even close to the complexity that LOTR had to work itself around. You would think it would have been easy to adapt this shit?

the full CGi stuff looked great. Everything with real people got cringe.

are you chinese?

>its basically guaranteed blizzard loves money
then wheres warcraft4?

they make all their WC cash from fucking WoW, their will never be a WC4

>only knows WC from WoW
all Sup Forumskids should fucking hang

they should drop any sequel shit and just do a arthas movie/trilogy instead

nah, fuck WoW, they should do tides of darkness next

Underrated swordshit right here

I played every Warcraft game as it released (only played WoW for around 20 hours though) and I didn't like it. It forgot to be a standalone film first before being a reference-fest.

It should have been full CGI with an occasional lighthearted feel just like in the games, who knows, maybe people would've liked it.

you've played every game, including 1 and you didn't like it? yea bullshit m8, your a WoW kid

I don't know how those two would be connected, my brother and a few of his friends are avid WoW players and they all liked it.

if you knew anything about 1 or 2 or even 3 you'd know, but you don't cause your a WoW kiddie

I was worried there was going to be tons of alliance fanservice, was pleasantly surprised that they make it pretty clear any mook orc can take 10-20 humans unless they have plot armor.

Reminded me what it was like playing alterac valley t b i also liked the movie overall t b h

>Enjoyable Blizzard CGI with the orcs
>Porn budget sets and boring exposition as soon as humans are on screen

Feels like they didn't have budget enough for a feature length CGI movie and filmed the human parts for padding. As it is the movie is a fucking mess.

>a wild pedophile appears

Yeah it's been a while since I played WC2 but as far as I can remember the plot wasn't that important in the grand scheme.

>its been a while
you mean never? its ok I've gotten use to the fact that the best I can hope for from WC 'fans' is a vague understanding of 3 at best, if that, yes the plot mattered

Artas just egocentric kid/ why so much hype?

It's the only time Warcraft (or a Blizzard game in general) had anything resembling a coherent story.

>only time
what the fuck is starcraft you dumb child?
>inb4 huur durr sc2

Calm your tits, I was 12 when I played it. Care to enlighten us as to what is so important about 2's plot?

Kerrigan is basically Arthas and vice versa so it doesn't count.

Rather, it was the first time a Blizzard game was that cinematic.

WarCraft was always known for its story and lore. StarCraft even more so.
But WarCraft 3's cutscenes were a huge step up from pre-mission briefings with little speeches and conversations.

I would but you kids are pissing me off, basically two is the beginning of the whole 'orcs aren't all evil' plotline, it also includes the first introduction of the orc homeworld with 'beyond the black portal' and the start of warlocks and gul'dans master are fucking evil, but I'm not sure why i'm bothering keep talking about your mmorpgs its all you kiddos know

yea ok, implying kerrigan is central to the plot of sc1, your a fucking idiot kid

>Arthas movie
Lolno. Any movie about the Scourge is gonna be banned in China, and it will be a flop in the west because his story is too similar to Anakin.

this, wc3 was incredible for that reason, also the first '3d' strategy game that was better then a 2d one, the story had already been going for years

I played 2 and 3 but not wow, looks like you got triggered for nothing.

As for the movies they retconned complex orcs and suspicious Gul'dan into the first one. They also don't have an open portal, all that's left is to put a prologue in the Arthas movie saying how they pacified the remaining orcs.

>all thats left
yea so not driving the orcs back through the portal not following them, not being bfto by the bloodmagic, not making the first alliance between orcs and men, etc, also of course the orcs contacting the ogres and trolls, the humans allying with the elves etc. etc. etc. no really you either your memories shit, or much more likely you just read a wiki and only played WoW, maybe a bit of wc3 cause your older brother told you to

as a fan of the franchise it was okay
probably terrible for anyone who isn't

They really should've delved more into Stormwind's wheat taxation policies in westfall and how the economy would adjust to a sudden influx of orc migrants

It will be a more interesting with Arthas controlling a seemingly endless army of bread monsters and scarecrow minions

No they didn't.

But they should.

This.
Unless you already know the story from the games you'll have no fucking clue what is happening.
I can't imagine a normalfags reaction when Mediev suddenly turns into a demon.

Oh okay, that could be a movie. Also,

>LOL you don't remember the plot of a game you played 15 years ago

I'm so ashamed!

Well I like warcraft NOW, but had no real knowledge of it beforehand, other than playing wow for a week when it came out.

He was a pretty fucking good Medivh. Medivh is meant to be kind of flat and odd as if he had his personality kind of ripped from him due to Sargeras. I feel like the dude researched him.
