This isn't news

Hey isn't this pretty old?

You know, I would have almost seen where her logic was in that she expected something even more "literary" than those books but then Batman was thrown out and WELP

Shultz huh? Sup Forums is always right.......

Woops, my bad. Mods can delete this thread now.

Who cares?

Op.

>Persepolis
>Fun Home
>The Sandman
>"Garbage"
>"I expected Batman and Robin"
fucks sake

but isn't Neil Gaiman...

fuck it

>reading comics for college classes
Next time just flush the money you're wasting on tuition down your toilet

>community college
lmao who gives a flying fuck

>Persepolis
>pornography

I can see why someone might find some of the content in Y: The Last Man objectionable, even though it's one of my favorites. But if you can't read Persepolis, quit the fucking arts.

>Y the Last Man
> a comic about every man on earth dying
>feminist is against it

And I want all Jews and Syrians dead. Boo-hoo.

Shittier books (usually written by the professor) have been assigned before

>I expected Batman and Robin
Not to insult Batman comics, but it sounds like they took a course they thought was for babies and got triggered when they had to read something that required brain cells.

Yeah, I don't see how reading Waiting for Godot is any better. At least shit happens in comic books.

Sandman is overrated shit, though. Shade the Changing Man and Lucifer are superior Vertigo books

And the geeks are to blame for that. It's their fault that non-comic readers think that comics can only be for kids and manchildren. Geeks have destroyed comics chances of ever becoming a respected storytelling medium outside of the geek culture scene.

...

reminds me of my media production and analysis class in high school.
only a few of us took it at all seriously

I'm still butthurt that Ben Shapiro legitimately defended this kid. This was before the Michelle Fields incident, when I thought he had integrity.

>I expected Batman and Robin

to be fair you could probably get some decent mileage out of the question of is batman and robin gay as fuck

but this women would probably have gotten just as offended

theres a dam good reason watchmen is so heavily studied user

But comics isn't literature though. Comics is its own storytelling medium. Literature is dependent on the written word while comics can be "silent". It's basically sequential art.

Love that strip by Beto.

Well who are they gonna blame shit on if the guys are dead?

>"I expected Batman and Robin not pornography"
Any examples of this so-called pornography she thinks she saw?

thin girls

it was probably just a nipple or something

real talk, is persopolis worth a read?

You see a single titty when he reaches the amazons or whatever they were called

Not really. It's a mediocre auto-biography of a dumb bitch with her stupid insights.

Better than getting Batman and Robin, when you're expecting pornography.

I read it and watched the movie

watch the movie. read the sequel.

Beto fell victim for this stuff some year ago. Some upset mother wanted his Palomar books removed from a high school library.

k thanku

>implying batman and robin wasent erotic as hell

I remember that horribly stupid mom and all her bookmarks showing the "child pornography pictures"

Nah, that was Herr Doktor Wertham

>study arts in English
>offended by literature and wants it banned

That's like studying to be a doctor but can't stand the sight of blood

>Shultz

Say whatever you want, jews are cancer

Or studying history and gets offended by historical events and demand "safe spaces" where discussions about those historical events are banned. Oh wait, that actually happens nowadays.

I liked it. It was a decent coming of age story.
Yeah that's a coming of age story. .

Whatever you say, Adolf.
