Is it safe to use earbuds or will it make the tinnitus worse?

Sleep with a fan

Don't ever wear headphones or earbuds

If you go to a loud event get ear protection (plugs)

me, i don't know honestly i heard ear buds are can cause it but not to sure

>Don't ever wear headphones or earbuds
How do you listen to music? Speakers?

Fuck you I just began wearing a headphone yesterday for the first time after 1.5 years of tinnitus. My ear were getting a bit tired though so I think I would give up on them anyway.

I have this too but I also hear other sounds and voices

Speakers are fine. Nothing ridiculously loud like blasting the stero in the car

Studies showing there are 20 year olds with hearing problems - give up the ear phones and buds. Don't make it a habit. I'll use them in rare occasions like if I'm at a library

I have a relatively good wireless speaker in my room, it's quite convenient. You can keep it at a good distance from you and use it with your PC or phone.

headphones are fine as long as you aren't listening to shit really loud

You are being cursed because of your Hindu dev(a)il worship.

Asking Saint Panteleimon the Healer to help might work.

Off topic but anyone get their wisdom teeth pulled?

My left jaw is hurting and clicking. Will that go away once they pull it?

Pic related is kinda of what it looks like - coming out slanted a bit and half of it is covered in gums

I didn't have clicking but mine also hurt when they were breaking through. And at least one of them was covered in gums for years. Sometimes it would grow out of the skin a little further and then it hurt. I got an ointment from the dentist that stopped the pain. An orthodontist said he could cut back the gums a little but just waited.

i have the same problem

Getting mine removed by an oral surgeon with tons of degrees and good reviews. All he said was ahh yes very well didn't answer any of my questions at the examination appointment fuck

How the fuck do you have tinnitus if you don't have freedom, Pajeet?
Or did you find a way to get it without even enjoying the freedoms all Americans are able to experience?

oh wait you said pulled i still haven't had mine pulled but they've never hurt don't know if i'll ever get them pulled

Tinnitus is caused by a defect or a blood clot in your inner ear. You can't affect it by plugging things in your ear. It's recommended though to keep it quiet, if you don't have it already your entire life. It might be a stress reaction. If you hear loud music, it wont decrease your stress level. Blood clots can be caused by stress.

If you have it just recently OP, reduce your stress level and the blood clot might release itself. You can ask the doctor to give you some hemodilution for a while until it's fixed, it might help too. But don't wait too long or it becomes chronic.

>tfw had it for year now
i went to the doctor and he didn't do shit

Not many doctors know what's causing it actually. It's just recently a bit better under control. Better go to a good ear, nose and throat specialist. I had a sudden deafness plus tinnitus for a while and it all got fixed. There are fine veins in your ear which are quite vulnerable to blood issues, sometimes also caused by your heart or blood pressure changes. You have to cure it quickly or the blood clot, if it is one, will get stuck there forever.

A year is probably too late anyway. You have to go there in your first week or so, if not even your first days.

Mehmet, no offense, but you have no idea what the fuck you are even talking about.

Tinnitus is caused by the hairs in your cochlea breaking off and basically dying from hearing damage. The more damage, the more hairs breaking shorter, the more tinnitus you develop.

There are other rare unknown causes, such as brain damage, and tinnitus with no knowable cause, but what you said is just plain wrong.

i've had it for like two years now and every now and then my hearing like fades

kek no, I had it. Why do you think that some people have sometimes increasing and decreasing tinnitus?

Mostly from Eustachian tube inflammation and things that cause it to be constricted. And you may be laughing at me thinking you're right and I'm retarded, but I learned this shit in medical school you fucking brainlette. Research it more.

Do you know what caused yours? Doctors can't do shit if it's caused by ear damage/ exposure to loud sounds, it either heals by itself within the first few weeks or stays with you forever.
Apparently some steroids can help if used within 1 or 2 days from the event, but realistically no one goes to the doctor the same day it starts, and even then most doctors aren't trained for that.
Some other causes like blood clot or neck problems are fixable. My father had it for 4 months after hurting his neck in a car accident, but it disappeared with therapy and wearing a neck collar.

i think mine was from loud sounds but i'm not sure

He's right though. In some rare cases emboli traveling through the basilar artery may clog up it's pontine branches causing ischemia to the Vestibulo-cochlear nucleus which may manifest as tinnitus.

Tinnitus is just a byproduct of any kind of ear damage, because your brain can't comprehend the information anymore which is sent to it. You can't say that either is wrong.

In my case I had a sudden deafness and the tinnitus was casued because the brain was still receiving signals from the inner ear, even though it was blocked by this bloos issue. I got blood thinner for 2 weeks and the issue got fixed.

Also read up this. Tbh I couldn't care less.

>occasionally shot without earpro a year ago
>Didn't get tinnitus
Nice

I'm glad you got better :)

Thanks Egypt. You are best ally.

I had my wisdom teeth removed and nothing changed even after a few months. I think once you have tinnitus it's very unlikely it'll go away
