never forget

stripperella was clever as fuck. i'll never understand the hate it gets. It was totally aware of what it was at every moment, and reveled in it.

most of the other recent-year stan lee stuff has just been painfully generic. i only recall two: a depressed and depressing hispanic dude with power armor, who was also a skateboarder i guess? and... uhhh a hero team of aliens crashed on earth who had to just deal with it.. but it felt NOTHING like it should have, which is a biker mice / mummies alive situation

I'm never going to forget how gay it was.

Yeah Striperella was good. Stan kept saying he was working on this, whatever, that had the Playboy Bunnies as secret agents and Hef is like Charlie from Charlie's Angels...

That never happened but I think it's because Playboy went out of style again, it was hip again in 2003-2010ish. Hence why Stan appeared as Hef in Iron Man.

Don't even know what this is. What is it?

You guys do know that Stan Lee hasn't written any of this new stuff right? They just pay him to put his name on it and market it. Same goes with any celebrity who decides to write a comic. There's always a cowriter who actually writes the comic. But Stan probably hasn't scripted a comic in 15 years.

how did playboy become hip?

Stripperella is 17 years old oh my god i'm old

no wait, no. it's only 13 years old. I was thinking of the last time I watched Spike regularly before that. still.

>Spike

Nice try.

I liked Mosaic, but the movie seemed more like a TV pilot which is now abandoned. Didn't watch Condor, which is set in the same world, but I heard it was good.

stan lees not just any celebrity he has a decades long background in comics

of course he wasent the only one involved but to think he dident have almost as much if not more input then the other writers is absurd

It always left me thoroughly satisfied

at least when I remembered to lock the door

It was everywhere, Hef had a reality show and was appearing in everything and in the public eye a lot more, people were more interested in the brand again. Seems to be dying now that they're selling the Mansion.

...

I really liked Hero Man

Yeah but see, here's the thing about that show.

Bring me that fucking coffee.

Karukaidouji Ultimo.
Stan Lee decides he's going to figure out if Good or Evil is stronger by making a hundred robot dolls during feudal Japan.
Guy finds out he's reincarnated after he finds the robot doll shota that partnered with him in his past life. His is the embodiment of all that is good.
He also finds out that he has allies in other dolls themed after the seven virtues, and enemies modeled after the seven deadly sins, and one ultimate evil.
Also his best friend is a reincarnated princess that was in love with him in their past lives. And other homosexuality.

And it's all written and drawn by the guy that made Shaman King.

I never said he was just a celebrity. I just said it's like what celebrities do when they "write" comics. Stan is a pioneer and a genius. I'm just saying the Boom Studios and POW! Entertainment stuff isn't him.

Also because they've removed the nudes from Playboy.
Happened in March. I don't know why.

He's got a show in Europe right now, no idea what it's about or if it's any good.

[citation needed]

Has anyone actually watched this? It's flown entirely under the radar.

>Happened in March. I don't know why.

Because you can get gigs of porn for free on the Internet and they're desperately trying to rebrand in order to save themselves.

...

>I don't know why
That's because porn became so widespread and easy to obtain that it just wasn't doing much for the magazine anymore, you can get much riskier stuff for free these days.
So they're sticking to pin-ups, lingerie, things like that, it sets a difference and brings a new public they didn't have before.

The fuck is this on his hand?
A very fat bracelet? a second shirt?

Some sort of bracelet, I think. I remember it from the trailer, it's what gives him his powers.

maybe the bracelet is an ancient artifact that gives him good luck

>changed from TNN to The New TNN
>ads about how edgy it is and how they had wrestling, reality shows, and some other shit i don't remember

Outside from WWF and ECW I don't remember shit from that channel.

...

This needs a storytime some time.

Oh God. That brings back so many memories. I remember watching Monster Jam and Robot Wars on TNN when I was in elementary school. I wish TNN was back.

Unfortunately i remember this. could never get into it and it didn't help that i couldn't tell if the characters were male or female. Though i did like the look of stan lees character.

Surprisingly i actually enjoyed this series, though i could have done without all the typical reality show drama.

That and the guy who said his power was to pull things out of video games decided to explain it to kids, BY TRYING TO USE PONG AS AN EXAMPLE! and then the response was "well the kids didnt really seem to get him" of course because he had a shitty imagination....

A kind of a fuck up/lazy cop with a gambling problem comes across a bracelet that gives him luck but it gives people around him or close to him bad luck as a balance. He tries to use it to turn his life around but there is some other group that wants it as well.

That's what I got from the first couple episodes. I kind of forgot about it after that. It wasn't bad though. Just not really gripping.

I did too. The ending was nice at least, with Fat Momma and Feedback.

That dude broke down when he won and met Stan.

Stan Lee doesn't work. He just get's paid to have his name put on stuff

I wanted to see The Governator

>inker: Daigo

Is this the same Daigo that did that one h-manga about the woman teaching her son about the birds and bees?

Nah, it's the Street Fighter champion.

By his own admission, he goes to the guy who runs Stan Lee Media and pitches ideas to him all the time. Most he dismisses but uses what he thinks are the best ones to develop into other stuff.

So like with Lucky Man, he probably went and said, "How about a guy who finds a magic object that makes him lucky -- and people around him unlucky?"

Nice work if you can get it.

I kinda wanted to finish this, but I never got around to it

course the last chapter I read was his friend confessing his love to him

I'm probably gonna have to finish this sometime then
