He-Man and the Masters of the Universe?

Where did these punks get off calling themselves the 'Masters of the Universe'

All they had were super strength, some gizmos, and some generic sorcery powers.

They were guarding the secrets of the universe. So they're more like "defenders of the universe", but "masters of the universe" sounds cooler.

Am I only one who thinks Skeletor and Evil-Lyn are only baddies that look cool?

Toy accuracy is always fun. Dat jaundice on Evil Lyn

>Where did these punks get off calling themselves the 'Masters of the Universe'

I don't see anyone stepping up to challenge them.

Eternia is literally the axis of the their universe.

This.

and also this.

The 2002 reboot was so good.

In the original toyline, Masters of the Universe referred to every character.

However, in the 80's cartoon Masters of the Universe was going to refer to the villains, but this idea got scrapped.

>Where did these punks get off calling themselves the 'Masters of the Universe'
Castle Greyskull itself named them that

also more people should read the mini-comics, they are surprisingly good

Would you recommend teh Omnibus?

Do you have any more pics of future sorceress? I always thought she looked QT

Yeah, the toy minicomics are actually probably the best He-Man comics overall.

yes, not just cause it's dirt cheap for the amount of content you get(20 something bucks for 1232 pages is nothing to sneeze at), but also cause these mini-comics are some of the most creative comics I've read from this era, especially considering their source material

yeah they strike the perfect balance in my opinion between the goofiness of the Filmation series and more grim and gritty nature of the current comics that DC does(even if their Skeletor Origin comic is one of my favorite comics period)

unfortunately no

>Evil-Lyn will never wrap her soft lips around your cock with a grin
>TFW no evil sorceress waifu who can turn into anyone in the bedroom

Why live

>Point Dread just sitting on the ground NEXT TO Grayskull

Yes. Yes you are.

There's also two He-Men and a separate Adam.

Zodac is also grouped with the bad guys, but that's how it was in the toy line so not really a mistake.

And I'm pretty sure Mekaneck is trying to check out Teela's ass. The direction he's facing makes no sense unless you assume that.

You don't like Mer-Man, Trap Jaw or Beast Man? Come on.

And it has the weird Wind Raider pilot who's an original character for the poster. He got made into a figure some 30 years later.

And like most good things, it got canned early.

It was explained in the DC comics, that Eternia is where the mystic power of creation resides. Who controlls Eternia, has the power to be Master of the Universe.

Nope not really. Dan Abnett's DC comics are by far the best MOTU story ever been written. It gave a lot more depth to the mythos, the characters and explained a lot of their motivations.

Trap-Jaw

Who is your MOTU waifu user?

Tri-Klops

Teela! The Red Sonia of the MOTU Universe!

Mer-Man!

Spikor!

>user complains about the character designs.
>Posts fan art as an argument.

I don't agree with user either, but I think you're going about this all wrong.

Ok. Based on official released designs. 200X King Hsss.

200X Spikor

How they gonna defend THE UNIVERSE when they never leave home?? These fuckers need to be flying around space, not stuck at home in their little sandbox.

200X Hordak

Defending Eternia means defending the Universe. If Eternia falls, the Universe is fucked.

How? Is the rest of the universe cavemen? These fuckers seem to have a pretty high opinion of themselves. I mean come on...Hordak don't care shit about Eternia, except just to rub it into Skeletor's face that he's incompetent. (going by the tv show. Comics was definitely different)

The MOTU gorgon, i.e. Snake Face

Hordak doesn't care about Eternia?
Have you ever seen or read any MOTU story. Hordak wants Eternia because he knows that is the place where the greatest power of the Universe is placed. At he center of Eternia, there is the Starseed, a fragment of the original creation, according to the MOTU mythos, a source of the mystical forces that hold the Universe together. Who controll its power, can be Master of the Universe.

Why did people like John K hate working on stuff like He-man?
He says it's the lack of imagination and creativity but all 80s cartoon were WAY more full of imagination and better than anything he likes or has done?

There's a reason people want the 80s cartoons to come back and make constant references to them.
No one remembers any of the supposedly "superior" animations he talks about or has done.
People want more He-man and Scooby-Doo.

Teela or Evil-Lyn?

I'm relatively sure that the GI Joe's Baroness and He-Man's Evil-Lyn are directly responsible for my evil brunette fixation.

Evil-Lyn IS a brunette, right?

You're trolling, but John K really is a highly unbalanced individual and it's a mistake to try to ascribe normal motivations to everything he says. He's really not all there, user

Nope, she has short white hair.

Indeed.

I would a Sorceress

Do you have a granny fixation now?
;)

What's the best MOTU canon and why is it the original toon?

Hnnng... After I saw this I was angry every fucking time I saw her with that retarded helmet. God I love white hair on women.

Not the op version? With He-Man being basically the Hulk with a sword? And the episode with King Greyskull?

>Liking Dark Orko

You aren't even functionally retarded. You are intellectually crippled.

The Failmation cartoon was for 6-7 years old minds. It is not a canon, since it has not continuity, neither characterizations. The best canon is Dan Abnett's DC MOTU comic. Great plot, strong characters, fantastic villains.

Then follows the 200X cartoon and the contemparaneous comic. And then the Classics Canon and the Vintage mini comics. Failmation is at the bottom.

Not bad, but I'm not sure I like the open wound look. Remember, Skeletor's guys were made by magic, so I'd assume they'd clean up their work, and heal any wounds they got.

Learn to read first you pathetic moron. I was talking about Dan Abnett's run, not Giffen's DC vs MOTU crossover. And yes Dan's Eternity War was the best MOTU story ever. You can stuck with your nostalgic faggotry as much as you like.

Not all of them. Most of them are battle hardened mercenaries and cyborgs. Trap-jaw (former Kronis) was a an alien criminal, who went against Skeletor. Kronis he was badly wounded in the battle between them, and Skeletor, turned him to a cyborg as a living reminder of what happens to those that defy him. Tri-Klops is a bounty hunter, with cybernetic implants that replace his lost vision. The battle scars is the sign of his past.
