Alright, time to settle this once and for all

Alright, time to settle this once and for all.

Were you a Nick practician, a CNormie, or a Disneypleb?

What was the single greatest show on each network during your childhood

>Not all 3
Although Ed Edd N Eddy was the best, followed by prime Spongebob

There was nothing good on Disney channel.

Cartoon Network with Kids Next Door and Nickelodeon with Spongebob

>that one guy who said Jimmy Neutron was better than Dexter's Lab

>Spongebob
i seriously never understood the joy people got from this show.

i guess i'm a normie.

?

Only played saturday morning cartoons which were all syndicated within 24 hours to the 3 kids stations. Doesn't count
Prime spongebob was amazing. Get taste

>Prime spongebob was amazing. Get taste
never really caught on for me. convince me with 5 episodes.

CN had Courage, knd, and ee&e, but I was overall a nick kid. Say what you will about beer can Dan but he sure knew how to make great kids live action. Disney didn't have anything good

If youre not older than all those networks youre on the wrong board. Go back to /pleb/

Go back to your nursing home, old man. These stations have been around for close to 30 years

>all syndicated within 24 hours to the 3 kids stations
You mean Disney,CN,Nickelodeon

How young are you because that isn't true at all.

>Magic school bus never on there
>Digimon never on there
>Escaflowne never on there
>Evolution the series never on there
>Godzilla series never on there
>Beast Wars never on there
>Spider Man 2049 or whatever never on there
>that Nascar show where he can slow time never on there

Like you said, get taste.

>practician

>Magic school bus
omg i miss my childhood. i feel old.

CN = Nick >>>> Disney

>danny phantom that low
Ghost yourself

Cartoon Network:
>best creative writing teams, best catalog of diverse and interesting shows. Serves as an archive for Hannah Barbara.
Nickelodeon:
>best original programming, best comedy writers. Better track record than AS with "shows turn films".
Disney Channel:
>larger budgets, larger teams of animators, larger distribution and longer running programs.

All three have gems and good shows. Though, I would think Disney XD fits better on the list here.

>Angry Beavers
>low-tier
you were born in 1996.

Nick and CN had the best cartoons, and Disney had the best live-action comedies.

Are you really saying Cory in the House and Suite Life are better than anything Beer Can Dan shat out?

lol at anyone over 25 still posting on Sup Forums.

What did

That's So Raven and Even Stevens > anything on Nick or CN

>even stevens better than anything
Fuck off, Shia. Don't you have a cabin in finland to be crying in?

>>DISNEY CHANNEL DIDN'T HAVE ANYTHING GOOD!!!1
>Gargoyles
>Good Troop
>Chip & Dale
>Ducktales
>Aladdin: The Series
>Recess
>Weekenders

Yeah man, Disney cartoons sucked

Recess, and maybe Weekenders, is the only thing on your list that was decent
>ducktales
Shit man going all the way back to the 80s to find a gem among the shitheap?

Those were all on network TV and not Disney Channel shows.

DuckTales was 90s...

All of those shows are Disney properties or aired on Disney channel, are you trying to be dumb?

this. all these normies just wouldnt understand

i'd watch

>spongebob
>lloyd in space
>recess
>scooby-doo
>fairly odd parents

pretty normie

Cnormie because that's all we had over here when I was a kid.

80s Disney
90s Nick
00s CN
10s none of them

...

>during my childhood
Cartoon Network: Teen Titans
Nickelodeon: Spongebob Squarepants
Disney Channel: Kim Possible
>now
Cartoon Network: Regular Show (i know its over now but idgaf)
Nickelodeon: The Loud House
Disney Channel: Star vs the Forces of Evil

Did no one else watch billy and mandy? I always thought that show had some smart humor and I still do.

Nick was OK until the late 90's at which point the only thing worth watching was Spongebob. Cartoon Network always had at least two or three shows worth watching and once Adult Swim hit it went into overdrive.

>band geeks
>krust krab pizza
>frycook games
>idiot box
>nasty patty
if you dont like any of these you are a pleb

dude fuck you Danny Phantom was great

>not liking pre transformers shia
You have shit taste

t.poor kid without cable

>ren and stimpy not god-tier
>angry beavers not higher
>rugrats not higher
>no ah! real montsers
>no all that
weak

where's muh aaahh!! real monsters

CNormie although desu I more liked the cartoons aired on normal tv like fox5... or the disney afternoon. things like that.

I was poor and has to watch Kids WB.

>angry beavers
>not Alpha-Omega Tier
Get some taste.

>krust krab pizza
>frycook games

Waste of two episodes. Replace them with Chocolate With Nuts and either The Camping Episode or Club Spongebob.

anyone else wake up at 7:30am to watch kirby?

Fox Kids in my country had
Eek The Cat
Super Mario Brothers Super Show
Life with Louie
Spiderman
Magic Schoolbus
Tick
Digimon
Oggy and the cockroaches
Bobbys World

Duck Tales aired from '87-'90 and was syndicated throughout the 90s.

>DAE le 90s kid? XD
kill yourself

Who else switched between these for the best possible Saturday Morning lineup? I remember towards the end of their runs Pokemon, Yugioh, and Digimon were all that was popular on them.

yea I also watched it for the "smart humor"

Do you guys never see the irony in the fact that you call us old but you're wasting the prime of your lives here? No one under the age of 25 should be dicking around on Sup Forums. Go do things before it's too late.

Good Nickelodeon (classic 90s nicktoons, early SpongeBob, etc)
>
Cartoon Network>Bad Nickelodeon (everything else)
>>>>>>
massive power gap

anything that The Disney Channel ever produced

The 80s pre-channel Disney cartoons (Talespin, Duck Tales, Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers, Darkwing Duck) all exist on an entirely different plane, one transcending the pedestrian predictability of any mere "cable" kids show.

The same honestly goes for Adventure Time. The show may be Reddit incarnate, but I'll be damned if it isn't the spiritual successor to god-tier 40s-50s children's books like The Little Prince, The Iron Giant, or anything by E.B. White. We'll be talking about it decades from now, and I collected the DVDs to pass on to my kids with the Tintin and Asterix book collections that my dad collected and gave to me.

I did for fighting foodons

Replace
>Hey Arnold!
with
>Ren and StImpy
>Rocco's Modern Life
And
>Aaah! Real Monsters!

And add
>Cow and Chicken
To the god-tier list, and then we're talking.

>tfw you'll never be a kid again and wake up early on Saturday to watch KidsWB until noon, go outside to play and then come home for dinner and then stay up and watch Toonami's Saturday night block

>Replace Hey Arnold!
no

>reddit
Kill yourself

>Hey Arnold, runner up Doug
>Courage the Cowardly Dog, runner up Dexter's Lab
>Recess, runner up Tailspin

Whatever station was showing the best show at the time?

>practician
I don't even know what this is

>
>If youre not older than all those networks youre on the wrong board. Go back to /pleb/
I first watched Nickelodeon in 1981. Howboudah
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.
Pinwheels on fire off the shoulder of Orion.
I watched Moose's high-beams glitter in the dark near the Ottawa Gate.
All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.
Time to shitpost.

Anyone watch this?

>Howboudah
>le reddit bladerunner meme
Just revealed your age right there, future posts discarded

HERE WE GO BABY, GOAT SHOWS COMING THROUGH:

>Early 90s
PBS MY NIGGA. NOVA, DOUG, MOTHERFUCKING WISHBONE, ARTHUR, THE MAGIC SCHOOL BUS, THOMAS THE MOTHERFUCKING TANK ENGINE

>Mid 90s
NICKELODEON MY MAN. THE AMANDA BYNES SHOW, ALL THAT, SLIME TIME

>Late 90s
KIDS WB, FOX KIDS AND CARTOON NETWORK MY NIGGA. YOU GOT TOONAMI. YOU GOT CARTOON CARTOON FRIDAYS. YOU GOT KIDS WB SATURDAY MORNINGS. YOU GOT ALL THE VIDEO GAME SHOWS ON FOX KIDS. THIS WAS THE GOLDEN FUCKING AGE

>Mid 00s
The dark times. Things started going downhill from here.

>Late 00s
Kill yourself.

>Bonus round
Anyone watch ABC's One Saturday Morning? Angela Anaconda, Recess, Doug, Pepperann, Daria, hell yeah.

I'm pretty sure you got most of the years wrong on your shows, user. But to your bonus round yes I watched that stuff when it was syndicated to Disney

Right now I only watch The Loud House, its as close as our cartoons will ever get to anime.

Kim Possible, Recess, House of Mouse, Aladdin... I'm sure there are plenty more, you're wrong.

>Angry Beavers in low tier
excuse me?

Born in the 1988, watched CN and Nick as a kid, hardly watched Disney (if ever). Favorite shows... I think I was most fond of Rugrats, Doug, The Powerpuff Girls, Cow & Chicken, Dexter's Laboratory, Johnny Bravo, and Hey Arnold, likely along with random live action like Clarissa Explains it All. I honestly don't know what my absolute favorite was, maybe Doug for Nick and DL for CN? I think I have some of this info written down somewhere.

>kiss x sis

Courage the Cowardly Dog is for real niggas

which show had the worst case "scream every line because the kids want loud noises"?

feels like a toss up between billy & mandy or fairly odd parents

the style in this show is fantastic, it looks just like old comic strips, the colors, the inking, and has that 90's charisma
I'm glad they didn't go with that disgusting tumblr style, animation is not dead

also the fap material is ridiculously good

invader zim invented that shit
but I liked the show because of the sci-fi and the grim edgy themes over the silliness

Ahhh real monsters was notorious for that, which is why I didn't really like the show

(oh, and Angry Beavers is up there as well)

I like the look of some of the characters. The style makes me think of cartoonier Garfield for some reason. I've done unfinished porn doodles based on it but never bothered to watch because I'm a terrible pervert. From what I've heard it kinda sounds like it might be trying to hard to be "progressive" but I'll reserve judgment until I bother to watch it.

Agreed, this show pretty much saved Nick. Everyone is loving it so far.

Truly "practician" taste user.

>Adventure Time
The first ~three or four seasons (I can't recall) are honestly classic and among the best kids tv ever produced, but there is a steep decline after that

Even anime characters are more complicated than this. I don't get it at all.

Its a single guy trying to survive everyday with 10 sisters. What's there to get, the show barely has any actual plot.

How much incest tension is there

The mid 00s weren't so bad, they still had comfy shows like American dragon jake long, Avatar TLA, Phil of the future, and Megas XLR. Give them some representation you philistine.

The mid 00s are nostalgic for me because they were Before 2007 came along and fucked shit up. 2007 gave us
Mainstreaming of social media
The Big bang theory
iphones
Part 1 of the Great Recession

ADJL was good in s1, then turned to shit when they changed all the art style and most of the VAs and the tone of the show. They completely killed it.

Nick.

Classic Snick
Rocko
Ren and Stimpy
Hey Arnold
Rugrats (before Dill)
Kablam
Every show hosted by Mark Summers and Summer Sanders. Pic related.

Mhm sweetie try again

>suite life of Zach and Cody
>American dragon
>Phil of the future
>I'm in the band
>Wizards of Waverly place
>Hannah Montana
>Sweet Life on Deck
>lizzy McGuire or however it's spelt

Did Dan say he would let you keep your feet if you posted this? Im sorry, I really am, but once he has you there is no escape. Miranda had to do unimaginable things to please Dan, and she managed to get out, but your foot game is not as good as Miranda's.

What will kids today nostalgia about in 10 years? Nick and Disney has some live action shit I guess,CN has Steven Universe and Adventure time I guess?

Nostalgia is obsolete when everything is readily available online.

Nickelodeon, by far.

I did like early CN, though -- from when they just showed old cartoons like Top Cat and Space Ghost to Dexter, Johnny Bravo, etc.

A challenger approaches

It's good that can access a catalog like Netflix etc., but then they have no common generation to share. Seems a bit sad.

>you will never go through the Double Dare obstacle course

the only reason to get cable was for adult swim

Yes now their childhood won't consist of empty consumerist cartoons meant to sale toys to then

It's "progressive" but doesn't force it. The last episode caused quite a stir, but most episodes are simple wackiness with heart.

>But according to host Marc Summers, only two injuries ever occurred on the obstacle course. The first incident wasn’t really the show’s fault because the kid lied on his doctor’s form and said he didn’t have any broken bones. Turns out, he did. Marc Summers explains:

>The kid said no, he had no broken bones. We went from obstacle one to obstacle two, he slipped and fell, and the bone went right through his arm. I left the studio, because I thought I was going to throw up. Robin [Russo] was like a nurse and amazing. Ends up that the kid had glass bones, and he had broken 17 bones in his body. He couldn’t go up a staircase without breaking a bone. So there was that.
