The last video game you played is suddenly turned into a TV series

>The last video game you played is suddenly turned into a TV series.

How good does it turn out to be?
What is it like?
Is it faithful to the source material?
How many seasons does it get?

>Red Orchestra 2
It already exists.
It's called "Every WW2 documentary ever made"

Prison Architect

Can't imagine a show about building expansion being very entertaining.

Table Top Simulator

>Sim City

Could work, slice of life drama following different people doing there thing across the city.

>MGS4
I guess it'd have to be an episodic series with multiple flashback episodes and probably several seasons giving you explanation onto how things wound up like this. Sorta like the Avatar series, but better.

Unless this is one of those Saturday Morning cartoon threads. How the hell could you make Metal Gear a Saturday morning cartoon?

Fallout 4

An action drama about a man in a post apocalyptic world where he has to balance family and helping out settlements.

>The Banner Saga

I don't like it when normies touch my things.

It'd end up being a game of thrones clone.

in an ideal world, it'd be 2D animated, with all the scenery true to its eyvind-earle-inspired roots, they'd all speak icelandic with subs, and there would be a lot of really deep, chilling scenes when the dredge show up to really instill the terror in you

I can see this happening, actually.

>World of Warcraft

If this had been made in the 90s, we would almost certainly have gotten a cartoon.

It'd probably be a fantasy version of GI JOE, only neither side is shown to be absolutely good or absolutely evil. Probably one season dedicated to the plot of each expansion.

Series finale would be Legion.

>Overwatch
I can see it as a Saturday morning cartoon, the highlight would definitely be its cast.
It's a multiplayer shooter, so they can go hogwild with the story, maybe dip into the characters' backstory.
3-4 seasons with a one-hour tv movie finale.

Remember that live action movie trailer that was made for a kick starter(?) It was sooooo good.

Snake sneaks around and saves Meryl from Ocelot every week, all of their shots miss and Raiden is now the snarky comic relief who makes robot puns related to him being a cyborg. All the FROG soldiers are robots now, and the ones that aren't the heroes are only allowed to grapple and flip them in combat. Snake also chews on toothpicks now because SMOKERS ARE JOKERS KIDS, and there is a PSA at the end of every episode. Any more ideas?

>Space station 13

The possibilities are endless, it's could be a slice of life from each spessmen or a whole station going through random shit everyday

Octacon keeps tripping over those dang ol' robots.

A super smash bros cartoon would literally just be brawl in the family.

The fight against Screaming Mantis is a Scooby Doo wacky chase sequence.

After defeating her, they pull off her mask, and it turns out she was Psycho Mantis all along!

Then he reads from the programming guide and credits.

I know this could work but, answer me this.

How can you make this game franchise into a TV series?

>Crusader Kings 2
I'd watch it just to see if they go off the rails with the historical fiction.
A lot of incest, murder, and holy wars.
It may not be faithful to history or probability, but it would be faithful to the bullshit that happens in the game such as the Germanic faith reforming and the Aztecs invading.
It'll either be okay for two-three seasons or absolutely amazing for one.

>Shadowrun Returns

It's a Netflix anthology series.
Each series usually starts of with a revenge/find the killer plot, but then turns out not everything is not what it seems. Characters from the tabletop, videogames, and previous seasons pop in and out throughout the season.
It would loosely stick to the material, just enough to have Shadowrun fans and the rest are interested.
It gets how many season Netflix wants to pump in it.

>World In Conflict

Some kind of Drama show mixed with lots of action for the big battles, supplemented with more solemn moments when the show focuses on moments that signify the 'Holy shit we really are being invaded' feel of the show, like cuts to abandoned schoolhouses with little touches like children's drawings, or a soldier taking cover behind an empty doghouse.

>True Crime NY
I can actually see that as an Adult Swim cartoon like Stroker and Hoop only slightly more serious.

>DOAX3
>25 episodes of bullshit filler before they wear the good costumes in the last few minutes of the season finale.

>Batman Arkham Origins.

Just bring everyone from TAS back and it'll do fine.

>Mass Effect 3
youtube.com/watch?v=qOqHUa2LfNY
Probably either this it'd be like that Starship Troopers cartoon. Either way I'd give it a season and then just fap to the 34.

>Dragon age 2

>its a mages are evil episode
>its a flemmeth chases morrigan episode.
>its a Isabella tries to sleep with EVERYTHING episode
>Its A Shale is a metaphor for transgender episode.
>Its a Meridith episode. (pic relate)
>Its a Dwarfs are jews episode

I think this would actually work out pretty good

They made a show out of it. It was awful.

The animation was terrible and they added an unnecessary love triangle, nerfed Alicia, and it just generally took itself way too seriously.

Sonic Generations
A show sonic fans actually want instead of being forced fed another shitty reboot

Bloody Fate was fun, so why not?

would be comfy as fuck

I need to get back into this game. I still haven't gotten my first Skell.

>Akabur's Princess Trainer Gold
It's porn so quality isn't too important
It's porn
It's porn so it's a parody
One until Disney sues the pants of the production studio.

SWTOR was the last game I really played intensely other than CSGO and Overwatch

Every season would follow a different class, and there would be movie specials focusing on the expansion packs.

Doom . Theyre really better off turning the comic into a one hour episode.

>Awesomenauts
I mean, it kinda already is
Just go full 80s

Hyper light drifter

One season, no story plot that is obvious. Tons of extras

Ghostbusters already was a TV series and an amazing one

>Borderlands 2
As long as Burch or his sister aren't involved in any way, shape or form it might turn out half decent.
Action-adventure spaghetti western with random drama to move the plot forward.
Can't see it deviating too much from the game's story.
2 or 3 seasons probably, each progressively worse than the last.

>never winter nights 1
Sounds horrible

>Space Station 13
Holy shit. Haven't seen that mentioned in forever.

So glad Burch won't be working on BL3. The story to TPS was offensively bad and I hope they cut out a lot of the distracting SJW shit.

After BL2 he should've been kicked off the team, honestly.

Well I just played Donkey Kong country 2, so we already know how that turned out.

naw, a sat morning cartoon would gut it.
It needs to be a Netflix original or something.

But what if a Donkey Kong Country show that was closer to the games but kept the musical numbers?

Sonic fans will never be pleased. The closest I've seen them pleased was during the Sat am Sonic cartoon, which I personally liked but then comics went full retard with keeping Penders at the helm.

>Overwatch

It's all right.
Transformers/GI Joe in terms of tone
Backstories are retained, but liberties are taken with the overall narrative to mainatin thrust
2-3

THE CARNAGE, THE CAPACITY FOR VIOLENCE! Would probably end up on something like Stars or HBO due to excessive gore and violence. OR, they could just make the 90's DOOM comic and ham it up, while also throwing in a random line about the evils of toxic radiation for some reason.

You know, it's wierd, nearly every video game show had to have a musical number. They were all bad except for some reason Donkey Kong. I have to say they were still corny, but they sounded so good. Not goofy movie good but good enough, on the DK story wise? That would kick so much ass. What if, and I am just spit balling, What if the entire show there was no talking? You just would have soundtracks. Very little dialogue even. Talking could be done by sqwaks, and maybe K.Rool.

That's probably because the cast of the show could actually sing. DK's singing voice was SEX.

I knew I wasn't the only one who sees this as a pairing. They just fit in a disfunctional way that it's just cute.

> FTL
Each encounter can be stretched out to a whole episode, ranging from battling space pirates to getting all of the oxygen sucked out of your lungs. Each season has a new crew as it gets wackier and wackier.

It was a black dude, I'm sure, I can tell by the way he sang.

Sounds like star trek though.

The World Ends With You

Fucking sweet is how it turns out.
The story is already like an anime, so not many changes are needed.
I'd imagine either 3 short seasons, or just one long one, with an special, for 'Another Day'.

Subnautica.
Its turns out pretty cool deep sea and giant leviathan monsters on an alien world. Shoddy production values though due to being made by syfy. Stays close to the source material.

>Resident Evil Revelation. Might be cool for a 12 episode series on SyFy.

>Witcher 3

Great. Another shitty Witcher television series.

Life is strange

Tv drama, with season 1 ending at the end of episode 3 and the 2nd season finishing off at the lighthouse, leaving the ending ambiguous.

Didn't that game have two different endings based on what choice you made?

How would that part be translated to television?

read the end of the post user. the ending choice would be left open, but the other story choices would probably be chosen based on what would make for better ratings
a netflix series would be best.

>Spellforce 2
Elven titites!

Final Fantasy Record Keeper would at least have 15 seasons.

>Civilization V

I think that's just Clone High.

God, I would love this, especially since we're probably never getting a sequel.

>Majora's Mask

Take away the HUD and add a narrator. Run the first season up to freeing the last giant and if renewed, have a few shorts to handle sidequests. If it does REALLY well, spoiler at the last episode for prequel OoT.

>if it does really well

Do you know how many people would probably murder for an OOT cartoon? If MM is made chances are OOT will have already been done.
