THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN SERIES

What went right?

not a goddamn thing

Gwen, Captain Stacy, the costume on the second movie... That's about it.

SPIDA MAN IT'S MAH BIRTHDAY AND IM GONNA LIGHT UP MUH CANDELES
>dubstep intensifies

/thread

Did the dubstep come from a separate set of speakers than the movie audio for everyone on the theater? I thought that was the weirdest gimmick.

Indeed, the costume in the second movie was the best one yet.

The main cast. Peter MJ, Harry, Aunt May, the majors were all cast well.

Maybe Marc Webb should go back to directing quirky indie rom-comcs, because he clearly has zero eye for action, suspense, or any real narrative drama. He's pretty good with romance, that's about it.

they mercifully spared us from a third one

Garfield.

It's failure let to Sony making a deal with Marvel.........well that James Franco, Seth Rogan, and North Korea.

Literally nothing.

The Raimi films, at least the first two, were superior in every conceivable way.

My Enemy isn't a bad song.

Right up until the part where it goes "He hates on me".

>ASM is about Spider-man beating on a handicapped guy

Make Up/Lack of a mask was a problem but the armor for Harry was pretty fucking badass.

This outfit was fucking awesome, kiss my ass rami-fags.

Nah, Civil War's Spidey suit looked so much better.

why is he a basketball?

If Sony had put those stupid black lines on Spidey's suit, then you would be shitting all over it you moronic shill.

His action scenes were pretty good.

The swings were miles above Raimi's.

Looks like a nerve was hit.

He's not wrong.

The black lines are awesome simplicity fag.

And this is why you will die alone.

>5 cents has been deposited into your account

No it hasn't I dislike the rest of that stupid bare minimum outfit, the lines were one of the only good aspects.

I'll bite, nearly everyone on Sup Forums was ecstatic about ASM2 suit until they found out that the movie sucked concentrated ass. CW spidey is nice, but that doesn't make the previous one bad.

They were good movies.

I liked The Lizard, he was pretty decent
It's good that they tried to make a continuous story that spans three movies, too, but since that fell flat, i don't think i can say it's a good thing anymore

They remembered that Spidey is supposed to be funny.

Nothing.
Talk about the MCU or Fantastic Flop, but TASM is a franchise that feels like it was made 100% with money in mind, like the entire plot and such was written not by comic fans, but by guys in suits who read about Spiderman's enemies in wikipedia.

I did like that his webslingers lit up every time he slung web.

GOAT soundtrack

I liked how coloful the second movie was.

>Second Movie costume
>Electros special effects
That's it

HE LIED TO ME

HE SHOT A ME

HE HATES A ME

HES USING ME

FRAGILITY

VIRGINITY

ELECTRICITY

HES DEAD TO ME

HE LIED TO ME

HE SHOT A ME

HE HATES A ME

HES USING ME

HES DEAD TO ME

AND NOW HES A MY ENEMY MAMA MIA

Most everything except for the back and forth between his wanting to date Gwen and wanting to keep his promise.

They fixed the ambiguity in the death of Gwen stacy.

>that fucking web hand
evverytime

>Garfield was literally perfect as Spider-Man
>Peter and Gwen romance was believable and was miles above whatever Raimi gave us
>Electro was an entertaining villain
>Those effects, especially the swinging
>Dane Dehaan as Harry
>First movie was 7/10 AT LEAST
>Costume in 2
>Spidey was agile and quick like a spider, as opposed to just being a brawler like in Raimi's
>Had so much potential that was unfortunately ruined by Sony
>Felt like a reboot and not just a retelling

I'm pretty sure that, had Sony not meddled so much, ASM2 would have been much better, and we'd all be eagerly awaiting the release of ASM3 right about now.

Nice meme.

Garfield played a great Spider-Man, but a terrible Peter Parker

Could you imagine waking up in the middle of the night, in a puddle of cold sweat, and realize your taste is this shit?

I honestly don't understand Sup Forums's quarrel with his Peter.

It looks like her time was running out, haha

Everything about all the lizard fights was perfect. The sewer one especially.

I can't put it into words, just felt off

It ended.

But there is nothing shit about enjoying detail and wanting Spider-Man to be menacing.

Spider-Man isn't supposed to be Batman

Sure but he still doesn't need to look like a pussy ass bitch.

>FRAGILITY

>VIRGINITY

>ELECTRICITY

>a new fragrance by Calvin Klein

What went right?
Well my good user... Emma Stone of course.
What a QT3.14

I like the Amazing 2 suit. That's about it though.

Well, something almost did

>ASM3 would have premiered like 2 weeks ago.
>Garfield probably would have been in CW.

>Dane Dehaan (The Amazing Spider-Man 2 & 3)
>3

;_;

He looks like a normie and not a nerd.

Dude, that's not a normie.
If anything, he looked like the shy kid who's always on the brink of going full Columbine.

I don't know. Making out with your hot GF in front of everyone at graduation is not something I ever did ;_; and I'm less than a nerd than Peter.

>Garfield was a decent Spidey
>ASM2 suit was great
>Action Scenes were choreographed well enough
>Rhino was entertaining for what he was
>Showing Flash not being a complete douche
>Gwen's death would have been done very well if not for the little web-hand
>Spidey's interactions with civilians
The scenes with Spider-man initially meeting Max and then confront him as Electro were absolutely amazing. It was great seeing him be so genuinely friendly to Max. It's a shame such a great scene is stuck in a shit movie.

ASM Spidey felt the most spidey of all movie versions so far.

As bad as the ASM2's writing is, the movie looks great. It did one thing all of the other movies did not: Make spiderman actually swing like a spider. No gymnastic swinging shit

But that's post-bite Peter. After which he canonically became pretty much a chad, juggling Gwen and MJ and cucking Harry and Flash at every turn.
