Eeh, it doesnt look that great

>Redpill me
What the hell does that mean?

>he doesn't go to Sup Forums even occasionally
God I envy you

looks good

How new?

It sounds godawful, why would I?

I've been on Sup Forums since 2007, I just don't go to shit boards because arguing on the internet is how I wasted my teens, I got my fill.

It has a lot of Heart.

It means "I'm a tremendous faggot, please fuck my face".

The phrase predates Sup Forums by roughly a decade.

How could it possibly? The Matrix came out in 1999.

Yeah, to be used by complete assholes, not everyone on the internet.

People who want to seem like oldfags sometimes forget that this site isn't hasn't been around as long as they like to pretend they've been on it.

Redpill being a metaphor for being shown the truth of things is pretty obvious, but in the context of aesthetics (such as in relation to an upcoming film) the meaning is less clear. I assume OP means "convince me this will be good." Is this how it's used on other boards? I've honestly never seen it before despite being on Sup Forums for years.

This is why I was confused. I assumed it was the former but in the context of a movie I feel like he's asking to be told why it'll be bad or not as good as it seems or some bullshit?

I think he was saying that the movie looks really good but thinks his high levels of hype will lead to disappointment, so he's looking for people to simmer them down for him.

More like
>he hasn't seen The Matrix
I have never gone to Sup Forums and I ignore everything related to Sup Forums. I know the term exclusively from the 1999 classic movie, The Matrix. It's pretty self-explanatory:

"You take the blue pill, the story ends. You wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes." - Morpheus, toNeo

Yeah, except it's a dumbass metaphor anyway because in real life "redpilled" people believe crazy-ass conspiracy theories that bear no resemblance to reality. But thinking differently than everybody else makes you feel smart.

Wait, wsit, wait. Are you saying OP asked for 'crazy-ass conspiracy theories' around Kubo? Because, honestly, that bears no resemblance to reality. Are you redpilled?

Thank you for explaining to the faggot. /s

Don't you get it? Summer IS real!
Look at all the posts and replies of this kind

All of you talking about what OP may or may not meant...
Why can't OP fucking say what he wanted instead?

It's literally from reddit.

r/theredpill is a giant MRA's circlejerk, and those losers eventually ended up on Sup Forums (either originally or from GG). You can see it with all their other shit memes like "Chad" (that's a reddit original too). I mean yes, it comes from The Matrix, but the phrase "redpill me" exists because of reddit.

It's feminist horseshit.

Don't watch it.

I just wanted to talk about the movie ;_;

I think the movie looks cool user, I saw a few trailers and I'm grabbing the poster from work when it comes out.

What stood out to you when you watched the trailers?

I'm sorry. You have to learn to not talk like a fag.

I don't know anything about Kubo, double sorry.

The characters stood out to me as seeming to be more than just there to make the protagonist complete his journey and Kubo himself seems already confident in his own abilities, its nice to see, especially in a kid's movie. Plus the visuals remind me a lot of Coraline and I loved everything about that. I quite like the character designs as well, they seem quite original and unique.

It sounds like the movie is doing more than what most movies these days dont do already, its just i feel that the story is just reaching into a culture, working with whatever material they can and get away with calling it unique when its the typical adventure story set somewhere outside of america like with big hero 6 and that only half-assed the new culuture part when they decided to make it in san fransokyo. I know it wont be like that since they have no meme char like the robot but movies these days feel like throw away entertainment instead of trying to suck you into its world and make you stay there.

I mean sure but the trailer presents enough magical elements to be quite different to our world which makes me engaged to start with. Plus I always like the idea of traveling bards and story tellers and that seems to be what it's like. I guess if you see a lot of movies you notice the patterns more but once that started happening to me I just only went to the movies I really feel like seeing and I'm enjoying them a lot more

I'm really looking forward to it. I like stop-motion a lot and I'm a big Laika fan. I've liked all of their movies, mainly Coraline and ParaNorman, but I like the fact they're doing something different from their usual thing and I want to see how they do it.

I also want to fuck Kubo.Yes, I know he's a boy.

Not to derail this but paranorman is one of my favorite movies. The music in particular I find beautiful

Yeah, Aggie's freakout was one of the most intense sequences I've ever seen in an animated movie and the music was a big part of that. Also the use of Little Ghost during the end credits was an adorable touch.

Same, fun fact I got the soundtrack specifically for the music in that scene and it doesn't appear in the ost at all.
:(

That's because there was a lawsuit with the composer of another movie (The Fountain, IIRC) who claimed the track was directly copied from his earlier work.

You tell me

Lawsuits like these happen all the time, it's obvious an indie studio like Laika would cave in even though it's bullshit in this case.

OT: it's just your average Laika high-end stop motion production about a hero's journey with a fresh fantastical setting. Also that cover of While My Guitar Gently Weeps is absolutely based

Basically just, "Tell me the truth".

I love the use of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" in the trailer. I'm really hoping the music is more akin to classic 60s rock with stuff like "House of the Rising Sun" and "96 Tears" mixed with a little bit of Eastern influence, but that's probably too much to ask.

As a musician I hear plenty of difference and it sounds like whoever filed was just a dick. That's a shame I really liked that track

I think it looks alright. I'm a sucker for Laika though.

Is The Boxtrolls worth a watch?

looks neat and I like the atmosphere, also can't wait for the porn, too many whinging dweebs would be nice to see a shota with some spunk.

It means he supports armed insurgent activities in New Zealand.

>Shota with spunk
I see what you did there.

Technically speaking the animation is top notch. The story is kinda bland. I wouldn't raccomend it outside Sup Forums, but since we are here YES absolutely watch it.

>fit college educated men
Oh wow, please tell me they actually believe this

most of its trolls, at least the posts I make are. Shame because they have decent points about the way the court systems are set up to vastly favor the mother, divorcee or the accuser but then fuck it up by being complete nutters regarding everything else.

You have to be 18 to post here.
