younglings get out

That episode literally aired on the day I was born.

>There will be people posting things other than "Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire"

Darn kids.

I was born in the summer of 93 so the closest for me was Homer's Barbershop Quartet.

I never actually saw that one.

Born in 88, threads no good to me

You and I share an episode, Friend.

...

>In the episode, Homer gets an illegal cable hook-up. Despite the family's enjoyment of the new channels, Lisa becomes suspicious that they are stealing cable. Her suspicions are confirmed by Reverend Lovejoy and she protests by no longer watching television.
>it's Lisa episode
No wonder why my life is shit as fuck.

I was born in '88 so I guess the pilot

Boy-Scoutz 'n the Hood, the day I was born.
I don't recall this episode.

Last episode of Season 1, "Some Enchanted Evening" aired 16 days before my birthday. It was the first one produced and the animation looks like shit.

>Itchy & Scratchy: The Movie
Aired when I was 5 days old. I'd forgotten all about this episode. I've seen it a long time ago. Does anyone remember if it was good?

I'm gonna go watch it now.

...

equidistant between Some Enchanted Evening and Bart Gets an F

gonna say meh to the first, and pretty good to the latter

It was fine. If I was born a week earlier, it would've been Lisa Vegetarian

It's a great crash course on Beatles history.

Ow, fuck, I'm old.

>Lisa's Substitute

eh, it was pretty decent

I'll do you one better, here's the commercials that aired with the episode that aired closest to my birthday.
youtube.com/watch?v=ds2TvwVmTaE

You and me both, user.

Oh Christ, that was 21 years ago.

May 1992 - Bart's Friend Falls in Love

I'm actually a June baby but nothing came out that month. I've never seen this episode, reviews seem to be positive but it's not a classic I guess. Looks like it's about Milhouse's failed attempt at a love life.

Everything about this episode seems to fit me pretty well. That's depressing. Maybe I'll give it a watch.

Shit a thread like this can exist now and I can't even call you underage
I'm just old... Wow I'm going to die in like a few more decades that sucks..

literally before the first one that aired, how the fuck old are yall

One of my earliest memories is almost dying from laughing at the slingshot bunny in the episode where Homer gets a shitty RV and they get stranded in the woods.

I am fine with this.

>Bart Gets An F

Pretty solid episode

The first one is closest to my birthday.
I was born when there were no Simpsons yet.

See this thread for the answer.

Mostly for the /u/ shipping.

>Find the Simpsons episode that aired closest to your birthday.

I'm older than the show. Are you saying you want the episode closest to the day I was born, in which case it'd be the pilot (or I suppose the first Tracy Ullman short if you want to get technical) or just the first one that aired on the same date, of whatever closest year post-starting?

I was nearly five years old

>Double Quarter Pounder

Jesus Christ

I think the first episode I consciously remember seeing on TV was Homer and Apu.

I was born like 4 years before they premiered. Fuck your thread.
You sound like the youngling, kid.

There are adults here younger than The Simpsons.

There are people in this thread who aren't intimately familiar with classic Simpsons episodes.

...

Mmmyep. Started after I was born.

I used to be with "it". Then they changed what "it" was...

Now what I'm with isn't "it", and what's it is weird and scary.

And it'll happen to you!

February 1988 "The Pagans".
It's fucking weird but still better than any post 2000 episode.

...

>inb4 a Scully episode gets posted
Nopenopenope.

"Home Hypnotism" a Tracey Ullman short aired February 19th 1989 the day after I was born.

Pretty disposable as far as a short goes, doubt this one was the one that put the fire under asses to get the Simpsons a series.

You should watch it. It's one of the highlights of Season 3.
>GIVE ME SEVEN HUNDRED KRUSTY BURGERS

Say, it's funny 'cos I know someone who was born on the day the 138th Episode Spectacular aired (12/3/95) and the hardcore nudity thing at the end...that fits this person so well it's almost scary.

Miracle on Evergreen Terrace.

No sir, I don't like it.

I don't know exactly when Fox greenlighted a full length series but it had to have at least been in mid-1989 because that allowed 6-8 months to assemble a writing team, animators, and the other infrastructure beyond the very small staff who did the Ullman shorts.

>The Springfield Files
Holy shit this is amazing

Just read the synopsis, I remember this episode. Pretty accurate to my life, was really lucky with money when I was little, only thing is I don't have a strong connection with my biological father.

At first I was bummed finding out I was born right at the start of the transitional period, but after looking at Season 9, it still has a lot of great episodes in it.

So am I.

Was three days before my birthday.

86' and in the summer. Oh well

The very first Simpsons episode aired 4 days before my birthday

DELET DIS BREAD

>"Homer the Heretic"
Born the same day. I'm rather happy with this.

>New Kid on the Block

would fug ruth's daughter/10

>"You're a musician?!"

Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire

>is it a good one
I have a vague memory of it

>84136424
the simpsons debuted 6 months after I was born...so...

>born before the simpsons
rip in piece

>1983
Go to bed, grandpa.

simpsons.wikia.com/wiki/Good_Night
Get off my lawn

Yep, not only it was funny but also a really nice jab at how mass hype, and the media representation of said hype works.

You could change "itchy and scratchy movie" with "the force awakens" and it would look like a documentary.

>tfw you people made me feel old
I remember a time before Simpsons.

uh, gabo´s episode. funny thing is i have a phobia against puppets

>Flaming Moe's

Yeah, I guess it's alright. I mean, I haven't seen it in ages, but that's one of the more memorable ones, right?

Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire
if you mean closest to when I was born

homer's night out is on my birthday plus a year

>Four Great Women and a Manicure
Never saw it lol

>Bart's dog gets an F

Solid episode, it was when the show was just entering the golden age

"Put it all on 41. I've got a feeling about that number!"

If it's not "Open Fire", you are a youngling too.

oh cool I wonde-
>another simpsons clip show
goddammit. God. Fucking. Dammit. Fuck you.

nice

Who Shot Mr Burns? (Part 1)

Born 01/06/95, in between the two parts of it.

Lisa's First Word, 4 days after my birth. An episode I haven't seen in a long time but one I remember enjoying.

Same, I was one day off from the airdate.

Always thought this episode was weird whenever I saw it.

Same. June 5th, myself.

Pretty good episode

Last Exit to Springfield aired 10 days after my birth.

Anyone who was born before the Simpsons premiered is too old to be here tbqh

>tbqh
You're definitely too young to be here.

youtu.be/F988JDDuFsQ

I was born in August of 91, there wasn't a single episode during that month since it was between seasons.
Stark Raving Dad aired September 19th, thats as close as it gets for me.

I didn't think it'd be an episode I actually remembered.

>born when Maggie said her first word

Damn, that's actually kinda cool

This whole thread is full of damn kids trouncing through my yard...

>I'm cold and there are wolves after me

Go back to bed grandpa.

There are too many states nowadays. Please eliminate three.

I can't, a turtle got ahold of my teeth.

Natural Born Kissers

The lamps running away

Sideshow Bob Roberts aired exactly on my birthday.

>1998

Burns Verkaufen der Kraftwerk
Don't really remember this one was it any good?

If i makes you feel better my birthday was 15 days ago and I started browsing when i was 13. And I regret it ever since.

The dental plan episode, often considered to be the best one. Go me!

>Bart of Darkness
This one is good, right?

"I Married Marge"
probably the worst from the 3rd season
fuck my life

Tree house of horror VI literally aired on my birth day

Coincidentally that's also my favorite THOH

July 19th 89

Getting too old. Let's search for eternal youth forever

>Another Simpsons Clip Show
Or
>Itchy and Scratchy Land

Huh. Thanks OP, that was interesting. I feel like a fucking fetus.

True, true that really puts the growth of the Simpson's into perspective and makes it even more remarkable.

And their crash and burn more depressing.
