I think quebecers have the perception of being rude because they'll tell it like it is, and call bullshit when they see it. Where as us anglo Canadians prefer to avoid confrontation and see complaining as impolite.

People in Montreal are fine it is like any other big city. The only thing that really stands out there are the insane parking signs and the cops will actually charge you for jay walking
