>South Korea is open to the west >Most westernised culture but also have they own rules and actually don't take shit from foreigners >Top notch companies like Samsung and Hyundai >Beautiful Seoul city >So many beautiful 10/10 girls that I would wife on first date >Kpop is better than Jpop and Western pop >Esports >Korean drama/Korean shows are better than any in the world >Regularly BTFOs China and Japan
BTW how did Japan go from 1st to 3rd, it's literally Korea>China>Japan now.
Well if you are okay with the constant North Korea threats, cancer inducing air quality, and extremely long work hours with strictly vertical social hierarchy then yeah it could be a pretty nice country to live in.
Justin Miller
fuck off Japan is a better place to live in and Kpop is trash
Connor Wilson

>conscription >stupidly strict hierarchy >that scene that students' parents are praying in front of college's gate wishing their children pass the exam I am glad I was born here. Both north and south Korea seem too hardcore for me.

South Korea is a cruel place but the people still seem soft as shit somehow, it's hard to get my head around
Ian Hill
>that scene that students' parents are praying in front of college's gate wishing their children pass the exam Don’t Japanigger parents also do this? Or they are too desentized that they don’t care about their offsprings anymore.
Jayden Cook

Love your hometown.
Noah Gomez
You should stand up to improve your hometown without complaining.
You can watch this video. You would think that you should be thankful that you are in Korea and are blessed.

It's not that hard to grasp. South Korea was an authoritarian military police state until the 80s.
The old gen are the hardcoreans that grew up killing their own brothers and cousins over political ideologies. They were given a bombed out wasteland to work with and had to build the country up from there. It's true that they are pretty close minded, but most old world people from any country are pretty close minded. Their experiences have imprinted a certain mindset through which they perceive the world. These are the people who have have been running the country for a very long time.
The new gen Koreans are soft because they have become spoiled by their parents while living relatively frivolous lives and are completely disassociated with their past. They become obsessed with games and watching anime, kpop, and hollywood movies. Many of them are well educated, but they seem to have some entitlement issues. Their rich parents can send them overseas to "learn english". Many travel around as tourists. Yet they go back and complain that their wealthy home nation is just too hard to live in. You guys are literally importing immigrants to work jobs that your kids think they are too good for. Bunch of whining babies.
