Who draws the best women in comics, and why is it Alan Davis?

Xaime

The one who doesn't objectify them.

>Alan Davis
Good taste. That's my artfu, user.

Timm, obviously. and chixdiggit

>The one who doesn't objectify them

Erica Henderson A.K.A. The B A S E D G.O.A.T. - Girl!

So every comic artist?

Sorry but you're wrong, the answer is clearly Alan Davis.

You know, i fucking LOVE Alan, but he has problem with certain angles, look at shulkie. Her face seems somewhat flat. And I've seen this a lot of times with him.

Frank Cho draws the best WOMAN in comics

>Ryan Sook...

Taking it back a bit. Don Heck was garbage at drawing literally everything but the ladies

Emanuela Lupaitalynfu

Christ, I love this iteration.

Correct.

Budd fucking Root.

>Who draws the best women in comics, and why is it Alan Davis?

Alan Davis, Frank Cho, Terry Dodson and Ed Benes
Before then, John Romita Sr, John Buscema, Milo Manara, Wally Wood

Googled Wally Wood

>wonder-man isn't wearing the same costume.
Shame. I really feel like they could have made one of the tunic versions work.

Why Alan Davis? Because he's capable of drawing different face and body types. He also understands that women have hips, not just tits n' ass.
Really, any of your typical cheesecake guys (Cho, Linsner, Hughes, etc.) only draw one woman with one face and body type. It doesn't matter how good they are at drawing everything else, and usually they are pretty good at drawing other stuff, they can only ever seem to draw a single woman regardless as to who the character is. It's sad, really.

/thread.

Michael Turner

isnt that one of the edits that USG thread made yesterday or the day before?

Artists objectify characters by default. The very act of drawing them is objectification.

If you read anything besides capeshit, you'd know that Manara is the right answer.

Michael Turner couldn't draw for shit. Look, I know he was a nice guy, he was cute and it's always a damn shame when someone so young loses their life to cancer. But he just could not draw! You want proof? Look at the Supergirl action figure line that was made based on his drawings, she looks like a gelfling! Dude just could not draw the human figure for shit.

The Spider-woman guy that doesn't know how backs work?

I like Manara, but he draws the noses too small. He's another one of those guys who only draws one woman despite being highly capable of drawing everything else.

Where did the guy on the right get an axe?

> The Spider-woman guy

You fucking PHILISTINE!

I always loved how he draws hair (of all things ...I know), even pubic hair

Bruno Redondo

You really gonna look at anything else he has no grasp on anatomy? Just goes to show that doing capeshit is cancer.

decarlo you fucks

I think the nose issue is more he likes to draw the noses as if they're caught by heavy light which makes it look tiny.

Love that they included Miss America and Claire Voyant. Marvel's Golden Age characters don't get enough love.

It was for the 75 years of Marvel Women special IIRC.

And marvel has treated its golden age characters and stories stepmotherly ever since Stan and Jack decided to retcon half of Captain America's golden age history (and ALL of the Red Skull's) in one of their earliest silver age Cap tales. The bar was set.

Fan of Art Adams, personally.

Based Cho is the one of, if not the only, I know of that knows what actually happens to breasts when clothed. It's like, unlike most of the horny 30 something artists over at most companies, he's actually spent a lot of time around tits.
There is not better artist of the female form
End. Of. Line.

This for me. I don't care if he only draws hot muscular women with big breasts and asses. I like hot muscular women with big breasts and asses.

true

Yeah I guess that's true. It's just that I wish they'd find a place for them like they did for Cap and Namor and even Jim Hammond. Some of them are outdated and belong in that World War 2 era, but then there are others I think would work well alongside Marvel's contemporary heroes.
