Every asiaboo I know loves Korean culture, food, fashion, music and movies while only fat weebs and other social rejects have the same open love for Japanese culture. Everybody talks about when they're going to go to Korea now, despite the constant threats of war. Korea just seems so much cooler than Japan.

Not really, Japan has been globally popular since the 70's, and its cultural influence has always been and will always bee much larger than any other Asian country.

I grew up in a Korean neighborhood. They are nice people but what you see in Kpop/Kdrama is nothing like there real culture. They are basically western people in terms of consumerism, with a Asian mentality towards excellence and education. The older generations are more interesting, but they are thinning as time goes on.
I will admit though, I was recently home and I heard a Korean girl next door play the piano. It was really beautiful. I was touched by the fact this is someones hobby. I have never seen a western in their 20s play with such skill and dedication.
