>the episode name has nothing to do with the actual plot.

fucking Steven Universe man

>The episode is named after the production number

>the episode name is JOHN CENA

>the episode name has "the" in the begging of the name if the ep.

>The episode name is a refrence far to old for the target audience
Looking at you mlp

>The episode name is one letter.

>the episode name seems to make no sense
>is actually a spoiler in disguise

Most Batman Beyond episodes

>the episode name is a pun
>the episode name is a pun that has been reused as an episode title for shows since the 60's

>the episode name is a code the main character needs in the episode

>the episode is named after something that happens in the last 10 seconds

>The Name of the Series is a Long Sentence Explaining the Entire Premise?!
Why does Japan do that?

>Showdown! Here is the Twist Right Up Front!

>Mr. Greg
>It's Pearl drama again

>the show episode's names has a gimmick such as "The" infront of every title
>an upcoming episode's name breaks this gimmick

...

>Kouji Kabuto will never die!

>episode name gives away it will be filler

>episode name gives out plot
>it turns out to be filler

>crossover
>episode title follows the format of the guest show

>Episode has a filler name
>Its actually plot heavy
>mfw

>Last episode name is a continuation of the first episode name

any example of this happening ?

>Episode name spoils the episode

I know I've seen it, but for the life of me I cannot think of any.

>episode name has Part 2
>there is no Part 1

Mfw Hit the diamond

>[character]'s Big Break
>character gets horribly injured

Japan's light novel and manga industries are so over-saturated that you need to grab the buyer's attention right away or get overlooked. Using the title to explain the premise is a good way of doing it, since most people only skim through the titles.

OPM had something like
>the strongest man
for the first ep then it became
>the strongest hero
in the last ep. Shit was chills.

meant for

>official episode summaries are intentionally misleading
Justice League Unlimited is my favorite example. Cartoon Network's summaries for the last handful of episodes of the Cadmus arc were written to sound like they were trying to very thinly veil that the Flash was going to die and it would cause shit to hit the fan. For example, one of them mentioned that Superman was going to "avenge a fallen friend" immediately after an episode called "Flashpoint". It turned out to be Captain Atom, who was in the show for all of five minutes and wasn't even really "fallen".

Hit the Diamond was the most enjoyable of all filler eps so far and it was barely filler. Plus that ruby squad hunting Jasper is probably going to be important later.

>episode name spoils the plot twist

>the episode's name is the last word/sentence said in the episode

Any examples of this that sounds great

I hated it when they did that for the new 52 Valentine's day special
Then again those were outright lies on top of a generaly shitty series of storys

>the episode names are randomly generated
Fucking EEnE

The dragon dub here was very straight to the point

youtube.com/watch?v=Qfi__yu7rJg

>"Don't miss the next episode when this character dies for real"
>"we aren't joking guys, you won't want to miss this"
>"episode 20 - character DIES"
>"don't miss the next episode of show"
>"A hero returns"

99% of the episodes' titles were random

>episode title has an unintended spelling mistake

>The last ep/chapter/act is the name of the show.
Can't be beat.

ALL the episodes

So kind of how centuries ago the titles of novels were more like synopsis?

>every episode name is a non-sequitur that has nothing to do with the show

>the last episode/chapter/act is the name of the show
>it actually makes sense in context of the plot outside of just being the show's name

>The Crossroads of Destiny

Gumball

I like the reverse.
When the summary sounds so generic and boring you don't even want to watch it but the actual thing is "shit hits the fan" levels of hype.

Lookin at you, Venture Bros

...

Two parter episodes names fit together

Part one: Innocent Until
Part two: Proven Guilty

Not exaclty this, but remember when the name of the episode "not what he seems" dropped? Everyone instantly knew that episode was going to be big.

>mfw I skip the supposed filler episode and then get spoiled to shit when I come here

>the episode name is 'The'

>The season is 26 episodes long.
>The episodes throughout the season are named using a different letter of the alphabet, starting with A and ending with Z.

>episode name is a variation of an earlier episode name but evokes a completely different tone

>Episode gives out the plot
>its still a good episode

what show did this?

>"Lion 3: Straight to Video"
>the title is a joke referring to the previous eps involving Lion
>does involve Lion but also reveals first screentime and spoken lines of an incredibly important character who almost every major character has some sort of connection to and was the cause of pretty much the entire plot

It would annoy me sometimes but I love that because of how silly/vague they can get, we have almost no idea what to expect when future episode titles are leaked.

>
>not getting the play-on-words right away
Tons of people caught on back when we only knew the title that it was gonna involve baseball, and it was a ton of fun to boot.

Also it wasn't filler. Filler is skippable.

Pic related, WITCH did it for its second season.

Looking at you Spider-Man #700

I will shamefully admit I never realized that.
