The greatest story ever told is a fucking Nickelodeon cartoon

>The greatest story ever told is a fucking Nickelodeon cartoon
How'd they do it?

>greatest story ever told
I dunno about that.
I mean it's great, but it's not perfect.

>We'll never see the alternate universe where Zuko stayed at the tea shop, Sokka started fucking his sister and Suki, and Toph checked 'em incorrectly.

luck mostly

they did a good job writing it, but they got pretty freaking lucky that nick didn't decide to randomly fuck their show up, I mean that is pretty much what happened to Korra

What the fuck is Ty Lee doing there? She wasn't even in the Ba Sing Se party

Wait toradora was made by nick?

Sheer goddamn luck.

Dude. Regardless of universe, Sokka fucked his sister, and Suki, and Toph, and almost anything else with a vagina.

Yeah she was

SJWs weren't a thing in the mid-2000s

>SJWs weren't a thing in the internet in mid-2000s
ftfy
they were a thing as far back as the 80's but not as cohesive and annoying as today

i think everyday how bad korra was

its like they are gaining steam over time because that is how human history works, things keep moving in the direction of the progressive

>Yeah she was
No, she wasn't

"SJWs" in the 80s actually stood for something, though, it wasn't just a bunch of beta males parrotting a handful of menstruating women and rallying against free speech and white people.

but as what history also tells us the pendulum always swings back

It's kind of shitty, really. It's pretty good for a cartoon but is that honestly a metric that would give you "the greatest story ever told"?

>the greatest story ever told is a fucking Nickelodeon cartoon

They wisely counted on you being illiterate.

Sup Forums has always the worst ideas.

Fetishes AREN'T the same thing as good writting or ideas.

I'm starting to believe that there are people stupid enough on this board today to actually and unironicaly want these things to happen.

>Muh Odyssey

I liked it

Season 4 was really the only season that was truly awful.
Seasons 1-3 ranged from meh to ATLA-tier

ummm not really, history tells us that there is push back, but generally speaking things don't rewind, slaves were freed and than there was push back in the south against how far the Radical Republics had taken it which led to oppression of blacks throughout the South but literal slavery never returned

especially if we are talking continuous civilizations and modern history, things trend toward the progressive, there will be periods of push back but they can't reverse this trend

lol no, season 4 was ok its probably about the same tier as season 1

Season 2 was by far the worst piece of trash ever

Season 3 was the only season on par with ATLA

That isn't Der Ring Des Nibelungen.

They copied things from Japan and that was it.

>History has a direction to my arbitrarily defiened perception of "progression"

Season 2 had the Varrick arc which makes it the best.

Varrick and the flashback episodes were literally the only things good about that season

everything else was awful

>The greatest story ever told
>There are people who unironically believe this

This. Varrick's Abridged version of the series was the highlight of that disappointing season.

>tfw pedosexuality will be a norm in our lifetime

>slaves were freed
>this is what white people actually believe

Seasons 1 and 2 were much, much worse than 4, and only 3 is close to ATLA quality.

you don't seem to pay attention do you?

things don't reverse, pedosexuality used to be ok, and then it stopped being ok, its not gonna come back just like child labor isn't gonna come back

Funny thing is that if it's good - Japan copied it from the West.

I mean they technically were

now whether or not share cropping was a worse life than slavery is another story but black people weren't literally bought and sold at property anymore, at least not legally

It's not even in the top 500.

Read a fucking book. Even just watching movies would get you dozens of better stories.

>Books
>Movies
Lmao

but homosexuality used to be ok then it stopped being ok and now its back to being ok

Season 4 had some good moments

Unfortunately it had a terrible structure that didn't allow the plotlines to connect properly and a clusterfuck of an ending.

>Korra was stuck away from all other characters for like half the season
>Asami was useless as usual
>Tenzin didn't do shit
>the Fire Nation and the United Republic were forced to stand down like French because team avatar were the ones that had to save the day
>the only characters that mattered were Korra, Bolin, Varrick and the Beifongs

Even if you were only counting American cartoons it still wouldn't be the best.

I did mention that this partner only applies to modern history and continuous civilizations

I mean slavery was illegal in the Persian Empire over 2000 years ago but that doesn't mean anything for the discussion of modern history which only goes back about 300-400 years

This is objective, you can't argue it.

The taste just gets worse as I keep reading.

Season 3 wasn't as good as people say. Most of Korra was mediocre. The best part of Korra was the sense of excitement you got, watching the new Avatar romp around Republic City, having faith the show wouldn't suck ass.

Dropping fucking SCIENCE on that bitch.

When will ATLAfags just let it go already

They're right. individually it might not, but as far as legislature goes, we move more and more to the left. That's part of the reason islam seems batshit insane to first world countries, when thousands of years ago it was more accepted if not outright sharing laws with other religions/civilizations.

This

The 1970s were super liberal, but the 1980s brought back conservatism. PC culture was everywhere in the 90s, it recessed in the 2000s, then came back in the 2010s.

Never. It's nearing 10 years since the finale. We'll still be discussing it 50 years from now.

Well tea shop Zuko would be cool...

It's great but I wouldn't even call it one of the best animated series of all time to be honest. Definitely not the greatest story ever told
>Aang's sudden moral objection to killing people when he's directly and indirectly killed or seriously crippled what has to be thousands of fire nation mooks
>Lion turtle out of nowhere with a type of bending that will solve all his problems right before the final battle with no prior set up that either of those things existed

That's a pretty subjective thing to say

how could you possibly know that Avatar was the best fucking there is when you never finished EVERY stories in the world?

Season 2's overall story was actually so much cooler than the others, but it would have been so much more AMAZING if season 2's story was the overarching story of all 4 seasons with the other 3 stories happening all while harmonic convergence was getting closer and closer. They could've said something like as it grows nearer more and more airbenders keep popping up until Zaheer gets it.

Lemme know how this order sounds to you Sup Forums

Season 4 should have been season 1 with the earthkingdom secret airbender army being put into this season instead. The earth kingdom having that army while they are rarely appearing in the world would have been way more shocking and exciting and better explain the situation of them showing up and nobody knows why. Here is where we could have learned about harmonic convergence and the red lotus escaping (governments deal with that, but kuvira is a more immediate threat so korra focuses on her). Season 2 would be the red lotus trying to kill korra and the red lotus generally fucking up stuff with chaos all over the world. korra deals with them. Then season 3 would be amon's revolution and using season 1 and 2's events as evidence for why benders are bad. Season 4 would be the season 2 story, ending with harmonic convergence finally happening and all that follows.

Yes, that's pretty correct. The clusterfuck shipping shows that they were kind of making it up as they went along. Probably the biggest problem.

The other is that team avatar never felt like much of a team. Not exactly close friends the way the original gang were. They spent too much time exploring side characters.

Should have had an episode per season exploring Red Lotus/Kuvira's backstory though.

Kuvira losing was also kind of bullshit.

Yeah, Aang's story as the Avatar didn't wrap up as nicely as it should've. It probably would've turned ATLA into one of those shows that completely flubs the ending, but we're lucky that the other endings were so good (Zuko made Firelord, Iroh getting his tea shop, Aang and Katara kissing)

Cr

Not sure how Kuvira/Red Lotus plots can be reversed. Red Lotus killed Earth Queen, which created a power vacuum. Kuvira filled it.

But it does seem like a good idea. Most seem to agree that an overarching plot would have been better. Season one was commissioned as a mini series though, so they never expected being given the chance.

What's the deal with Korra comics?

Lion Turtle

But it's just a ripoff of Naruto.

You need to actually put some kind of bait on the hook if you want fish to bite.
