Why does everyone say Hitler is worse than Stalin? Just because of genocide? Hitler *did* do a couple good things, like boost the German economy, and make life somewhat better for Germans than it was before. Stalin killed potentially ten times as million people.

Fact is there is no existing documentation to prove he actually intended to eradicate them, and that most of the people who died in the camps were from malnutrition due to allied air campaigns against supply trains and roads.

The left, for decades, had a raging boner for Stalin and the USSR. The USSR under Stalin persecuted many Jews, denied the Holocaust, comitted many acts of ethnic cleansing and a few acts which fall under genocide depending upon who you ask.
The leftist professors, intellectuals, and comedians have no issue slating Hitler, as he is nought but an enemy to their ideology, but Stalin? The USSR? Too close for comfort, too linked. One must remember, the goal of many leftist movements was to make everywhere like the great and glorious USSR. They found themselves inside a glass house. The fallout from their cultural infection, some would say subjugation, if that Stalin is somehow not as bad, in some way.

Also, if we want to argue semantics; 'exterminate' doesn't explicitly mean kill, he could have been referring to the destruction of the Jewish people as a global entity as opposed to the execution of individual Jews. Although, I admit that this is a long shot.
