Pretty good for DC. Hopefully they'll keep most of the up for the next month.

GET FUCKED, KINGFAGS!

>SUPERMAN REBIRTH and SUPERMAN

What is the difference?

Rebirth is basically a #0 in all but issue number

Why don't you go read your beloved DC shit comics. I can't think of a better punishment for this trolling thread.

>assuming it's a troll thread judging by the OP pic

One advertises the coming comic series and the other is a comic series advertising that it's about to tell stories.

> Top 20 only 4 are Marvel

KEK

> Civil War took first but Batman and Batman Rebirth - that were sold in 2 weeks difference like CW II #1 & #2 - outsell Civil War

Well this was a great start from DC

>>Top 20 only 4 are Marvel
Actually five.

Yeah you right but that is just 1/4

As a DC fan, I'm not upset that Marvel is #1, but I am upset that they're #1 is Civil War II, because it's the worst kind of shit.

I'm buying it for the art.

>ASM that fucking low
Will Marvel fire Slott now?

So you're telling me that Marvel only beat out DC by 10% when they were publishing far more books, an event and Star Wars when DC only had 1/4th of it's relaunch out?

Sounds pretty shit to be honest

Why would you be upset as a DC fan? DC were never going to beat Marvel with the way Rebirth is being released. Each book would have had to have sold 250,000 at least. You should just be happy at the growth and the fact that you're finding quality in DC again

Probably not, everything was pushed down because of the flood of #1's from DC. Once they level out then it'll rise again.

Welp, sadly Civil War will keep Bendis in power

It's still to low. Spider-Man should be doing the same numbers as Batman

Apparently it's not selling well at all. Remember these are retailer numbers. Justice League will most likely take the top spot for July

It was pushed below black panther and deadpool though

>Three Marvel Comics and a bunch of Star Wars shit outsold Aquaman

Arthur, you're losing your touch.

>Apparently it's not selling well at all
>#1 best selling comic in June
>#2 still in top 5
Face it user, all that tough talk and it still comes up on top.

I'm talking about on a month to month basis not just during Rebirth.
Spider-Man is Marvels biggest hero and Marvel is the bigger publisher. There's no reason why Batman should be constantly beating him

>Justice League will most likely take the top spot for July
In response to Rebirth and complaints about CWII, CWII #3, by benefit of a midnight release (delayed by one week to the release of Marvel NOW! 2.0 preview magazine) has a chance to claim the top spot.

>> 46. MIGHTY THOR #8 (MAR)

Still too high.

To retailers user. They had to order those 2nd issue before knowing how 1 would sell

CWII #1 and #2 were doubleshipped.

I want the numbers already. Everything in the top 10 broke 100,000 that's a given since Star Wars has just fallen beneath that number and it's at 14. The only Number I have evidence for is Batman doing over 350,000

Exactly

The issue isn't even Batman. Batman had the relaunch this time. Spider-man shouldn't be bellow a Deadpool #13.

>Batman had the relaunch this time

And every other month where Batman kicked in Peters Spider teeth? He should be number 1

Deadpool #13 is oversized, while:
>implying retailers are tired of Slott's shitty OC villain

I just noticed something, the Actual #1 Issues were ordered more than the Rebirth #1 Issues. That's pretty weird.

>>Please note that comics marked with an asterisk (*) have had their reported quantities reduced due to retailer returnability, and thus may rank lower on the charts than their actual sales would reflect.

What does this mean? Like they actually sold less than what's placed there?

Hopefully the coming issues place less because looking at my LCSs, it's selling terribly. I fucking hope this is the even that makes Marvel realize that constant events are fucking stupid and is counter intuitive with relaunches supposedly attracting new readers.

> 4. DC SUPER HERO GIRLS TP VOL 01 FINALS CRISIS (DC)
Lol wut, how is this? I liked Tiny Titans will I like this?

Lots of lolis, you'll love it.

>Like they actually sold less than what's placed there?

Most of the time but it's actually the opposite this month. Lots of reorders for the Rebirth books because retailers didn't order enough

>What does this mean? Like they actually sold less than what's placed there?
The first three months each worth of issues of DC Rebirth ongoings are returnable.

>Slott's run on Amazing Spider-Man
>considered to be one of the worst of all time by many

>Snyder's run on Batman
>considered to be one of the best of all time by many

hmmm

>What does this mean? Like they actually sold less than what's placed there?
it means that they took the actual number of sales and then subtracted a percentage that they think would be returned to the publisher as unsold.

>Superman, Green Lanterns and Aquaman's follow up issues sold less
Damn, those were actually my unexpected favorites.

It's marginal for Superman and Aquaman 1 sold more than Aquaman Rebirth

"Upset" probably isn't the right word, but it's always baffling when bad and mediocre books sell better than good ones, no matter the publisher.

>Only events and Star Wars represent Marvel in top 20.
But..but Star Wars doesn't sell.

Again mate this is retailer numbers and Marvel events have always sold well in the past. But from what I've seen and heard it's not moving off the shelves like it should

>STAR WARS FORCE AWAKENS ADAPTATION #1

Why is this a thing? I get why you would want a novelization as it can add scenes that had to be cut but I see nothing a comic adaptation can add

>> 48. PUNISHER #2 (MAR)

Oh WOW that fell fast.

Gotta milk sheep for that Star Wars money.

I bet it was fucking 5.99 as well

Close, 4.99.

> 1. CIVIL WAR II #1 (MAR)

SAY IT WITH ME

MARVEL

ALWAYS

WINS

BABY

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

>the state of Marvel after Civil War

Suicide watch

Plus all DC titles with the * have had their numbers reduced since they're returnable but since they all literally completely sold out their numbers will be adjusted up (usually about 10%)

Once final numbers are in DC may well beat Marvel in total June sales, or at least come VERY close.

Go, DC, Go!
Crush the marlel

doesn't matter, if you check the Outhousers or other cancer sites, they still think DC loss.

I wish A-Force was doing better . . .

> 36. CAPTAIN AMERICA STEVE ROGERS #2
Even with the hydra rage the book didn't crack the top 30

Spidey ships twice monthly
Though
And this is only American sales
This is anecdotal bit both my lcs in the UK have said spidey outsells batman by roughly double per issue

huh didn't notice that. It probably still sold fairly well being in the Top 50

>only American Sales
Diamond is the only distributor you idiot.

>UK
>third world mattering

By next month probley won't even be top 50

but hey it was trending remember? DC BTFO!

So glad married man superdad is booting non-canon swinging single devil dealer Peter out of the top ten.

>New Avengers closing on GotG
>International Iron Man that low

>This much of a drop between Green Arrow Rebirth and Green Arrow #1
Why?

It does when it comes to spider-man

surprising really, maybe LCS weren't expecting much since it was GA?

These are only what's stores ordered months before the issues actually came out. They had no idea if the hype behind Rebirth so underordered. Notice on all the reordering charts DC is destroying Marvel as stores up their orders.

All new inhumans BTFO

But New Avengers is good book, pleb.

Tito is crying from happiness

>carnage in 96

I am afraid out little red friend is going to get cancelled soon, he was selling 24-21k last mont i think

You'll be BTFO with Death of X. Muties will be dragged through such mud that AvX will be good old days.

DC Universe Rebirth 2nd printing sold around 50k. It also got up to 4th printing so in the end it'll end up doing around 350k.

While uncanny x-men By Bunn exist and sells more than your filthy Soule uncanny inhumans, inhumans will be always BTFO

>by Bunn and Land
And Magik with granny feet.

> 2. DARK NIGHT A TRUE BATMAN STORY HC (MR) (DC)
good to see this so high, but where is the discussion?

That would require over a million extra sales or a drastic collapse in Marvel sales, in a year which has been about 15% down over 2015 so far.

There may be a lot of complex factors at work, but with this being a big relaunch it's not a question of beating the competition or raising sales figures month to month but of doing so consistently. Otherwise the relaunch is a failure.

>What does this mean? Like they actually sold less than what's placed there?

en.wiktionary.org/wiki/sale_or_return

Ordinarily I'd be pleased to see DC adopting this tactic (normally they rely on direct sales to retailers, who then deal with the unsellable copies), but in this case there's a concern that they're doing it in conjunction with retailer variant covers.

You see, the returns in sale or return don't ever actually go back to the publisher. They never even go back to the print shop - they just go to be pulped and recycled by a third-party company that deals with that shit. Some of them get sold on at bargain-bin places if they get caught before they're pulped, but the publishers don't care about that because they've already refunded the original deposit to the LCS, and sold the remainder to the pulpers to recover some of their publishing costs.

All the retailers usually have to do is send a cover (historically) or scan a barcode for issues that go unsold - they get back their deposits per issue but the bulk of the copies go from the store straight to the recycler.

So if you have potentially valuable variants and the opportunity to obtain them not at a knockdown by over-ordering (as has been the case for 30 years) but essentially for free - there's a huge potential for fraud there.

Watch this space.

It was storytimed, talked about and forgotten.

Don't get too cocky, DC fans. Same thing happened in 2011. DC will only dominate the market for 3 months. Marvel always wins baby.

Most of the extra books were those timely reprints

Nah, DC is playing the long game here. Everything's fine.

I didn't forget it, I just haven't seen any trolling opportunities.

Hail Hydra:

youtube.com/watch?v=RavNOU-Tql8

Except at making good comics

>Marvel always wins baby.
Good to see Sup Forums is branching out its interests.

lol what comic is this?

Dark Knight: A True Batman Story.
They fucked him up good, turned a part of his skull into powder.

>2 X-books outselling the Avengers
>nevermind the inhuman slaughter

In my opinion Civil War II is doing a much better job with the moral ambiguity than the first one. I will admit that part of the sales though is due to the same reason they decided to do another civil war event when they did: Normies are buying the comics because they saw the movie.

>THOR
Still about 30 places higher than Captain Affirmative Action w/ Wings is.

>58. DC UNIVERSE REBIRTH #1 2ND PTG (DC)
Don't second printings usually sell like a few thousand copies? That's crazy

Keep it up and you're going to end up getting Franked.

>Don't second printings usually sell like a few thousand copies? That's crazy
It's the DC Fanboys. After BvS, they have to buy 6 of everything to show the Marvelfags that they are still relevant.

>> 76. GWENPOOL #3 (MAR)
Not bad, in my opinion, particularly during this Rebirth months where series sell at least 3 times what they would normally sell

Does someone know it's position last month?

Now marvel knows that they can do literally anything to the mutants, no matter how shitty it is, and people will still buy it
