You faggots lied to me you said Steven doesent fight This is the very first episode
Also why did they change pearls design so much from the pilot it was flawed but it could have been fixed without the near total overhaul.
(I Couldent auctualy find a picture of Steven in combat so I took the closest thing)
Jackson Barnes
You're talking about steven swinging the mini fridge at centipeetle like he doing a hammer throw at the Olympics? Surprisingly for some reason people keep forgetting that scene.
>First episode of the show shows boy with supernatural strength >Everyone surprised at the end of the season when he's able to lift a teenage girl overhead.
Michael Hall
Yeah that
Also having just watched the second episode with the cannon I understand the folks that prefer the original killing joke coloring a little better.
I think the ideal would be to have the recoloring for most scenes but the original for a few of the panel's.
Lucas Stewart
Not sure I'm a fan of the ditching the medkit scene that's some pretty calous disregard
Cameron Howard
>caring about this >gb2tumblr
you're not a fan of anything that matters if you're talking about this garbage
Aiden Gomez
The more I watch this the more I wonder how people could have been surprised at him lifting a person.
Ryder Collins
Christ dude, they're called commas and punctuations.
Jason Wilson
Man, don't talk smack about the pilot, it was better than any episode that aired, which is why I dropped the show. The character design was worse, tho.
Blake Hill
I have to say I love the irony of someone who created a post about Steven Universe calling literally anyone else a faggot. Dudes taking cock in gay porn would call OP a faggot.
Logan Smith
The original Killing Joke coloring isn't just a little better, it's way better and they right way to read it.
Jackson Davis
It generally works well within the 11 minute format. However the cheeseburger backpack episode while good would really have benefited from being double the length.
Zachary Perry
I meant I understood them a little better it was a little vague I guess.
Adrian Torres
I don't follow the show very closely, but the recent episodes I've seen have kind of moved away from the action aspect altogether. Now there's some kind of plotline about trying to help an alien get home before the Earth is invaded.
Xavier Nelson
>You faggots lied to me you said Steven doesent fight
The hell are you talking about? Nobody ever said that. Steven fights a bunch of times. He's a fucking Level 6 Dwarven Defender with a +9 Arcane Aegis of Reflection.
Once he hits level 6 he gets access to last Stand and can use a second shield as a free action once per turn.
Austin Campbell
>I don't follow the show very closely, but the recent episodes I've seen have kind of moved away from the action aspect altogether. Super Watermelon Island was just a few episodes ago.
>Now there's some kind of plotline about trying to help an alien get home before the Earth is invaded. What are you talking about?
Aiden Hill
Dads
Dominic Cruz
Not a huge fan of the episode but I really do have to comend the animators
Elijah Watson
Not a fan of how bullshit op that bubble was Or the huge arse plot hole in the episode
Jaxon Wright
>Not a fan of how bullshit op that bubble was It can be broken with enough force and he can't move around easily or attack while using it, in later episodes the bubble just isn't good enough.
>Or the huge arse plot hole Which one?
Caleb Martinez
Why did the folk at the donut shop not just go up the stairs Steven couldent to get the gems
Colton Ward
They couldn't hear him, also townies tend to keep away from the gems. You will very rarely ever see them interact.
Cameron Wilson
>also townies tend to keep away from the gems I guess that makes sense I thought it was only the guy on the pier who Couldent hear them through I may need to rewatch.
Aiden Price
>this show doesn't matter to me >therefore this show doesn't matter Our shining prince has descended to earth to give us the good word.
Christian Moore
Somebody find and link this fucker to that D&D booklet someone made for SU. Dreams do come true.
Grayson Hill
This arcade episode is decent but pearl is a blade dancer shouldent she be really good at taking out lots of little enemies
To be fair though she hasent had that much established in the way of fighting style the episode is just challenging my assumptions
Juan Green
Stevens not wrong his questions about opal are extremely important.
Thomas Turner
Although one does have to wonder why they dident try that in the second episode
Jacob Sanders
Wait that's it I was expecting something at least half the size of a megazord.
I like the design though with the multi arms bringing Hindu religion to mind the bow really suits it.
Grayson Brooks
The gems early on are treated as really incompetent. Hell, none of them really do anything until Garnet in Serious Steven. It slowly fixes itself, but shit they held back a lot to make Steven look like he was worth anything.
Aiden Cruz
I'm amazed they still haven't fixed the animation on pearls sitting in the opening
Jordan Hill
What?
Cooper Johnson
In fact I would have thought they would be able to reach that size on there own
Jordan Hall
Because the SU "fans" here have the attention span of a dog.
I've seen SUfags argue that is somehow out of character for Steven to be concerned and apprehensive about pearl training the curry girl to die for him. Or another guy who said Greg wearing a tuxedo ruined the charater for him. Or the guy who went on an autistic fit because the army doesn't show up to battle the giant monsters.
Seriously, now I understand why the crewniverse stopped coming.
Dylan Reed
> Or the guy who went on an autistic fit because the army doesn't show up to battle the giant monsters.
If I wanted that I'd watch Sym-bionic Titan.
Carson Hughes
It had a much better episode about growth then star vs and mlp. Although star vs keeps a more consistent quality in general.
It might just be that unlike those 2 episodes it dident have such serious and poorely thought out implications on the setting.
Ethan Richardson
In the opening when pearl sits on the grass she moves her skirt like she's going to sit one way then sits in another way.
Plus she moves so fast during it at one point it looks like the animation skiped a few frames between when shes standing and when she's sitting
Jonathan Richardson
I still miss it
Noah Perez
That does sound pretty stupid of them.
Still the shows not that consistent somehow in the 11 episodes between together breakfast and onion trade pearl went from trespassing in amethysts room to clean and look for weapons to refusing to do it even on invitation. And considering the mayor is still campaigning in the previous episode either it has only been about a month at most or so many years that it's election time again
Nolan King
I wonder why pearl set the hologram to go right from basic to advanced
I also wonder if it will ever be explained why she took longer then usual to recover
Hudson Young
They explain this later on. Pearl is just a perfectionist whore.
Brody Mitchell
To show off. She was already pretty handy with the sword.
Jack Cox
>trusting Sup Forums >ever Why would you do that?
Jonathan Clark
>in later episodes the bubble just isn't good enough. Hah I see what you mean
Joshua Bell
This is one of the most grammatically incorrect threads i've ever seen.
Lucas Murphy
Watc.h u takling b'out mi mna¿
Gavin Lewis
The pufferfish episode made really good use of the 11 minute format.
William Wright
Sht da fuk app meen
Jack Bailey
Clearly you haven't spent much time on Sup Forums. Those idiots can barely manage to put 10 coherent words together most of the time, let alone proper punctuation or grammar.
Nathan Rogers
Roses room less so, that really needed 22.
Leo Watson
Waut duu you meaan you ESGDDUUU fugget?
Aaron Adams
Ok looks like the garnet-amethyst fusion is going to be more what I was expecting.
Joshua Cox
Alright yeah I can see where tumblr gets there lesbian subtext from now There reading to much into some dancing but I see where they are reading from.
Isaac Torres
Hm I would have thought Steven had enough control over his bubble by now that he dident need to worry about debris.
Isaac Allen
Nah man, once you get to the message/answer it's pretty clear that fusion is just subtext for lesbian sex. It really couldn't be clearer.
Ryan King
>Still the shows not that consistent somehow in the 11 episodes between together breakfast and onion trade pearl went from trespassing in amethysts room to clean and look for weapons to refusing to do it even on invitation
Maybe she just got grossed out the first time digging through Amy's garbage and vowed Never Again.
Brayden Wood
I really really hope the moral of this episode isent that Steven shouldn't try to get buff.
Still they haven't disappointed me often so maybe they will pull some other ending off.
Owen Anderson
Probably won't be "man-made rocks are bad, don't trust them," right?
Brandon Gray
Probably.
Dominic Moore
Holy shit that's some lazy animation on the clothes folding
Daniel Brooks
Wait so hes not staying in roses room now
Jordan Nguyen
The moral is "Nicki Minaj was too expensive for more than one episode"
Nathaniel Ward
Ok that episode wasent as bad as I expected but it was still a rather weak one.
And Garnet Pearl was not right at all if she had stuck around instead of running off because she didn't want poor widdle Steven to get hurt they could have solved the problem right then and avoided all this.
Also I get the feeling Steven was inspired by amethyst turning into a buff Steven more then by Sugilite.
Evan Fisher
Anyway I think thats enough tv for me today
Dominic Scott
Heh
Sebastian Hall
Ok I lied to myself. The pilot was a far better take on time travel bauble so far
Jonathan Price
One of the better takes on copies I have seen though probably the second best
Mason Thompson
Never mind it fell apart
Liam Williams
>Steven uses time travel to make comebacks
>Somehow better than "steven forms a band with other Stevens using time travel and ends in a Steven civil war"
Shit taste confirmed. It was a good thread for a while.
Dominic James
>And considering the mayor is still campaigning in the previous episode either it has only been about a month at most or so many years that it's election time again It can be pretty much assumed that he is non stop campaigning regardless of when elections come up. Add to that that he most likely run unopposed and it's actually quite funny.
(you later learn (no big spoiler, here) that he ancestor more or less founded the city, so you can guess being the mayor is a family thing).
Jace Ross
Eh I was a lot more ok with it in the end when they ended up destroying it.
I just don't like when shows leave methods of Time travel laying around here they cleaned up after themselves so it's fine.
Aiden Jackson
23 episodes in and there's one of the fabled Steven talks the monster down episodes. (And it barely even counts) that's an acceptable ratio if it keeps up
Although it does hint there might be more in the future.
Brandon Parker
user! Just in case you don't know, the airing order (and even the itune release order) isn't the official watching order.
Here is the order in which you should watch it, according to the crew themselves. (left column first, then right column).
Jace Clark
Heh healing saliva
Lincoln Roberts
I'm quite surprised Steven has never been to school I would have expected his mother would have made sure of it. Oh well he dident turn out to retarded
Landon Peterson
His mother was a gem fighting alien who spent most of her life on earth bubbling corrupted gem monster. What does she know about school?
Owen Sanchez
I just extrapolated a bit to far from the bits about her empathy.
Oh this lapis stuff could be interesting
Evan Cook
Hm I got the impression she was going to let Steven think on it and whatnot Guess I was wrong
Isaiah Sullivan
But it was destroyed on both episodes.
Caleb Reyes
Wait if pearl hates fighting herself why did she base her training hologram on herself.
Jason Gonzalez
Yeah but the other one established limitations early on so I dident have to wait for the end to have my worry's dismissed
Benjamin Bennett
She hates fighting herself? When did she said that?
Noah Morales
Either she still has bad experiences from Steven the Swordfighter
or
FORESHADOWING?
Caleb Russell
Yeah that never again argument works for the cleaning amethysts room not so much here
About fucking time the shield showed it started out seeming like that was going to be his first bit of magic but he got a bunch of other abilitys before that. Episode 26 after she cuts her water mirror in half and draws a second spear
Jack Cooper
Because one is a training program with routine and the other one is a carbon copy of her that mimics her movements. Which one do you think is more annoying?
Evan Powell
Maybe she's just sick of it.
She's the only one who actually trains, and thus only has her holograms as sparring partners.
Garnet has a natural edge (you know why), Amethyst is lazy and Steven doesn't even want to learn.
Pearl isn't a natural fighter, she actually had to train to be that good. She's actually the only one who doesn't have trouble with her water clones and doesn't get hurt by them.
Garnet has natural strength and future vision, Pearl has actual skill and training.
Joseph Richardson
Makes sense she trains with herself out of sheer necessity
Henry Thomas
Ok for the most part I have liked this show a few things have been a bit iffy but I have to call bullshit on this
It makes no sense that he can acidentily fix eyesight but can't fix a broken bone when he's trying.
Adam Martin
Keep watching.
David Phillips
Yeah I just realised he was probably faking or something
Also warp whistle lol
Kevin Cooper
>Episode 26 after she cuts her water mirror in half and draws a second spear Either 1-It was precisely a nod at that episode when she was poofed out by an hologram of her 2-She actually hate fighting herself, but she actually do it because she know it's a challenge for her, so that she keep being a good fighter 3-she can only produce autonomous light contstuct drones that has her likeness, so she doesn't have much of a choice for her training, whether she like it or not.
Ian Davis
I can empathize with Stevens situation with Connie I have a friend with overprotective parents and it sucks.
Of course it's not exactly the same as Steven and Connie are both children while there's much more of an age gap between me and my friend but it's still annoying.
Jordan Wilson
I think Steven may have missed the point of trying to seem normal for her parents with the size of the tripple fusion though
David Jackson
And because it's fun to play with yourself. Also, everyone was flipping about Bismuth in the new promo, but no one pointed out that Amethyst has a new design. So she get's popped at some point?
Henry Ross
It's all good. Connie's parents apparently don't mind she's a huge, six-armed, purple woman as much as they mind her manners in table.
Several people mentioned that.
William Campbell
>overprotective parents Regular overprotective parents are better then crazy ones. I remember tons of odd misunderstandings when I was a kid over my crazy parents.
You can't play with darts? My mother thinks I'll damage something with them or hurt myself. But you can play full contact football and you have a set of LAWN darts. Yes.
Your mother took the paint ball guns we bought you away before you even opened them? Yes, she thinks they are dangerous to both person and cloths. But you are allowed to go outside and target practice with a real rifle!? Yes. But you are 10! Okay?
Nolan Ortiz
You can leave out the 'lesbian'. Rubies are such tomboys they might as well be male.
Cameron Wright
What were they supposed to say? Apart from being gigantic, Alexandrite behaved relatively normally.
