As in how do they justify it to their conscience?

muh bible says so and all evidence against it was put there by god to test his believers or by the devil to lead them astray

On a Dutch refo website I found the argument that God can make everything appear as if it is of any age, as he sees fit. So he can create things that look old. Plus the bible apparently describes a dinosaur. And when counting the generations in the bible they concluded the earth must be at least 10k to 20k years old.

Never met a Christian that believed this in my entire life.

We have entire cities lol.

the bible doesn't mention that directly

Hello Fedoras, first would you like to explain to me how the universe was created with your superior metaphysics knowledge. I'll wait.

Protestants are weird people.

>Plus the bible apparently describes a dinosaur.
Only that the Behemoth from the Book of Job is actually an elephant. But the Bible does mention dinosaurs, or more precisely, birds. :^)

A hippo desu. Those lived near the nile.

> bible is inconsistent
lol, who would have thought

They also played a role in ancient Greek mythology.

Explain why you think the universe had to be "created". I put "created" in quotation marks because "creation" within the physical world just describes reassembling existing matter into something new.

they don't, they're christians. they either believe shit blindly without thinking about it or just cherry pick the parts of the bible they want to give a shit about

I mean Egyptian mythology. Derp.

what the fuck is a christian?

The Old testament's shit anyway.

You religious fags are fucking disgusting with your intellectually dishonesty. Please get the fuck off the internet; you don't deserve access to modern technologies.

> not knowing that behemoth is actually a hippo

wubba lubba dub dub!

Because it's too surreal and bizzare for a human mind to imagine that all this matter existed all the time.

>Christian brings up how great the Ten Commandments are
>proceeds to cherrypick "thou shalt not steal" and "thou shalt not kill (the actual Hebrew word just means "murder" but whatever) instead of starting with the first one
everytime

Hello bong, first would you like to explain to me how the God was created with your superior fantasy book. I'll wait.

Look out man, he's so pious that he can't defend his beliefs without screaming about hats, you don't stand a chance.

Technically it doesn't have to. Because we cannot measure outside of our little bubble which was created by the big bang.

Cartholic Church doesn't believe in that bullshit, and has admitted that the Genesis is a tale.

Not really. The ancient Greeks believed that too.

>But the Bible does mention dinosaurs, or more precisely, birds. :^)

your view of the "physical" world is rather limited user

Old book written by people living in old times

it didn't. matter came into being only briefly after KABOOM

>ancient Greeks
they had a shitload of misguided and imbecile opinions varying from everything is fire to everything is nothing. you can't really use such an umbrella term

>the universe was created by a big bang
>everything just came from nothing!

>Christians
Protestants*
yes, they are this retarded

American "Christians" were a mistake.

In their belief system, anything absurd become truth.

> I need a God to explain existence of the universe
> I don't need a second-rank God to explain the existence of the God.

People are more likely to believe a big lie than a small one.

t. Nicolaas van Tesselaar, a Dutch philosopher

belief doesn't differentiate between big and small lies. it's all the same truth for the believer.

Well, living in one of the most religious country on earth, i have saw some really dumb answers.

>god make dinosaurs bones to test our faith
>it's all fake

Ok bro, tell me the spiritual story about the "Big Bang" you Darwinist dolt.

isn't brazil catholic though? or are you talking about some south brazilian protestant community?

>Be God
>Make everything look billions of years older than it actually is
>Send people who note that these things are really old to hell
What did he mean by this?

Wtf? I thought evolution denial was an America-only level of retardation like global warming deniers

even Origen wrote something like "you have to be really dumb to interpret literally the old testament" yet protestants did...

They have their own political party here.

They exist everywhere, but only in America it's a mainstream position.

>isn't brazil catholic though?
Most of the country is catholic. The new "casino protestantism" is on the rise, but still significant smaller than catholicism.
>south brazilian protestant community?
Most Germans coming to South Brazil where from catholic Germany/Austria and Poland (back ion the day, there was no Poland). And the protestants Germans where Lutherans, which is quite different from the new protestantism in the rise (mostly in the poorest parts of the country, because being a pastor is really good for your pockets).

Meming aside global warming is a legit hoax. The earth has always had warm and cold periods and right now we're naturally heading towards a warmer one

There is a catch. No one is claiming that is new and will destroy earth. They simple show that is caused by humans and can be controlled.
There is a lobbyist narrative in America to discredit climate researches and pretend that they are fanatic religious nut jobs from a doomsday religion.

> dat is le naturell
skepticalscience.com/medieval-warm-period.htm

DRUMPFTKINS BTFO!!!

Both Republicans and Democrats are talking shit about global warming.
Let's be honest, Al Gore and his doomsday prediction caused more damage to science than Trump denning it.

eh, as alarmist as he was he brought the issue into a larger discussion

...

>everything is nothing
but thats true :-D
and so is everything is fire. I mean, fire could be just defined as light, and light is just electromagnetic waves, and everything is waves as proven in 20th century

With fake predictions and unreal consequences.

Thanks to him, very few in America actually believe that it's real because he had claimed that in 2015, many cities would be already under water.

Also, my pet polar bear shot himself after watching him talk about the subject for more than 15 min.

emptiness is form
form is emptiness

>big bang
>darwinism
