There's no problem with the NHS

I thought Brexit would fix it?

I thought a Million refugees would be a boon to Germany.

There seems to be absolutely no drive to ensure people are in hospital for as little time as they need to be. I was kept in for 3 nights over a minor injury - a broken arm - and in the end I just discharged myself as they wanted to make me wait again for another night. I got a call the following day asking where I was - it had taken them that long to get around to it and notice I was gone, despite the fact I had said to the lady on duty that I was leaving.

Unbelievable and that is when I lost all faith in it.

Any day now, they will be flying germans to the moon and doing doctor and engineer stuff, they just don't feel quite welcome yet, they need more ficki ficki.

Probably preoccupied with all those regulations enforced by the bureaucracy.

Hint hint.

Three days for a broken arm? Lolwat? I had major surgery (femur cut in half and rotated 45ยบ then bolted back together with a metal plate, Achilles' tendon sliced, heel of my foot cut in half and slid back) and was out in less than three days (not on foot, I went out on a stretcher). Although they did bring a hospital bed into my room at home for it.

did you make this thread because of my post in another thread? if so cheers, i wanted to discuss this

Government spending goes only one way, up. The NHS will keep expanding, hiring more middle men and staff who do nothing leaving those who do with an ever expanding bureaucracy above them to work under. It will only be a matter of time until it reaches breaking point where even higher taxes will need to be levied on the people to support it or it comes crashing down.

Knowing the peoples love for free healthcare i dont see a payment system ever being brought in, i see it ever expanding until taxes are so insanely high it collapses

>12 billion record system

how does it even reach this point. 12 billion dollars. How the fuck do you reach 12 billion and scrap it. How is there not a single person responsible for such an absurd amount spent?

Not sure about Australia or America, but here in Europe at least gouvernment + IT project = abysmal failure

Giving people in government the taxpayers wallet and expecting them to make sound purchases is insane, they have no stake in it, they have no desire to bargain and get a good deal. It must be like wolves descending upon sheep whenever a government decides to build something and i dont blame them, id quote them absurd amounts if i knew i could get away with it.

But 12 billion, this is too far, 500 million is a lot, 2.5 billion is a fucking lot, 12 billion is a joke

We're not innocent of that... Just look at the ObongoCare signup system, HealthCare.gov... $1.7 BILLION.

>websites costing in the billions

am i fucking missing something here???

It will never be allowed to collapsed - it is revered as some sort of God and is your archetypal form of mindless state worship.

Even mentioning that it is a problem that may need to be addressed at some point gets you ostracised.

The UK only spends about 37% of what the US spends on healthcare. While your healthcare expenditures may be rising at a faster clip than you'd like, such patterns in increased health care spending have been replicated all over the world, and are not indicative of inherent problems with the NHS.

Perhaps one could reform the system to increase out-of-pocket expenditures for the average person so as to reduce overutilization, and therefore, spending. However, these adjustments to NHS policy are only temporary solutions to the problems faced by increased health care spending.

Medical innovation has lead to the discovery of new treatments of diseases that used to be death sentences. However, more often than not, these new treatments are prohibitively expensive, leading to escalating national health spending.

So basically, public policy circles in every major country are debating on how to fund this expensive industry which is prolonging life with its triumphs. It's not really an apocalyptic scenario if you ask me. Though it will provide policy wonks with more than their fair share of headaches.

It's an entire system linking different companies and different states together. The idea is to spend as much money on healthcare as possible so as to be able to say, "look how much we spend compared to other countries like Canada and the UK, we need to spend more to socialize it!"

Serious answer?

Free market healthcare. Like singapore.

The nhs will collapse soon.

So what is the endgame, its spending is going up and the people revere it (from what youve said and from what i noticed of my travels), what is the end for this? Will taxes reach astronomical levels or will they finally cut the fat and stop hiring 8 middlemen for every doctor?

>like singapore

the first i have heard of this, do you have any good material i could read about this?

you know a year ago id think your crazy but now, i dunno, a billion on a system sounds like a nice way to inflate healthcare spending and push an agenda

NHS system a shit because it's single payer single dispenser. There is no alternative to the NHS for 99% of all people, so there is absolutely no incentive for anyone or anything in the NHS to perform better at anything..

>Having free healthcare
>Ever

Only the most meme-tier of EU healthcare systems are actually free.. Most are either based on some kind of forced 'solidarity' where they take money out of your taxes and/or paycheck to fund your coverage, or have mandatory insurance like the Netherlands... All of them have their shit sides, but I much prefer the ones like our system where at least a) everybody pays a marginal amount, and some money in proportion to the care they consume (it's not free. so why give people that idea that it IS free, like: ? ) b) You can actually choose between insurance companies and, depending on your insurance package, the hospitals/care providers you go to. So if you're fucked over by the system, you can at least take your business elsewhere.. Try that with the NHS.

dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2364692/Josie-Cunningham-5-000-breast-implants-NHS-wants-YOU-pay-remove-them.html

That feel when we pay for shit like this.

If it's public funded does that mean we all get to use it?

Clearly, giving gays a very expensive medication so they can fuck without condoms is the answer.

Simple stop the privitization jew, it sqeezes money out and gives peanuts in return. Their should be no profit motive in health care as a fundimental moral stanse.

Restrict free at point of access to british citizens only or european citizens with state health insurance aggreements. Everyone else pays except for emergency treatment.

Diagnose and cure illness not just treat symtoms. GP's like triarge nurses are basically there to passive aggressively avoid you getting actual dignosis and treatment. You may be a blood test but it can be impossible to see a specialist or consultant. Personally i don't want pills to mask a problem, i want health.

And on nhs staff. fuck doctors manly for the above reason but frankly your not that skilled (GP's in mind) and if you care more about being excessively rich of the state like a welfare queen than being paitent focused you have no place in health care. Yes they should be rewarded for skills/effort but not they ego and self agrandisement.

I won't even get started on fucking dentists who have the moral integrity of child pornographers. fucking nickel and dimers... seriously i have stories.

Also the sexist allocation of resources makes me sick. If your a women you're given eveything and if a guy just told to walk it off essentally (while hypocritically being told men don't seek assistance). Women get notications to seek smears, cancer examples, hpv testing and so on so on but actively they write to them for these routinely. This never happens for men even though we die earlier but lol...

>I won't even get started on fucking dentists who have the moral integrity of child pornographers. fucking nickel and dimers... seriously i have stories.

deal with it faggot

t. dentist

My friend its actually worse. The wolves are friends with the shepherds, who give the wolves special access to the sheep in return for campaign contributions.

And most people are complacent about this. It's like a light switch. When your health is fine you don't really appriciate health care because you don't need it and have no experience of it's flaws. When you actually need it though you see how fucked it is... and i'm britbong, i dread to think of the horrors amerifags have to go through.

I hope you know that you are the kikes of the medical field.

You can choose your hospital in this country.

danieljmitchell.wordpress.com/2014/11/27/singapore-a-remarkable-free-market-success-story/

If I remember correctly, Singapore spends 3% of GDP on healthcare and US spends 18% of GDP. Singapore is regularly ranked number 1 in the world and certainly top 5.

Also, The US (and states I assume) government spends 40% of GDP. Singapore spends 18% of GDP. That's a 12% difference in spending. That's massive.

Singapore does have retarded rules like banning chewing gum and they heavily censor speech. But the fact is, they spend FAR less than the UK/US on healthcare and is either equal or regularly has better healthcare.

Is it perfect? No. Do they have regulations? Sure. But they don't have a National health service. There are taxes to ensure those in dogshit situations can get help but by and large, healthcare is private.

>Their should be no profit motive in health care as a fundimental moral stanse.

The profit motive is why most doctors become doctors.

It's just hugely inefficient. They now have more bureaucrats employed by the NHS than actual clinicians.

Unfortunately this is the nature of government. I have no idea how you make a public entity more efficient when there is no profit motive.

Yep and since men use the health service a LOT less than women and contribute more in national insurance, we're paying for the privilege too. This is why women vote for socialism.

then maybe you should brush your teeth instead of funding my holidays

>Simple stop the privitization jew, it sqeezes money out and gives peanuts in return
PFIs have all been a fucking disaster

cheers

We can't.

Tories want to privatise it so they're intentionally killing it in order to do that.

they really are.. they are masters or lies and deception and actively damage peoples health.

i understand they need to make a living and there in is the problem.. if there is nothing wrong with your teeth they will find something so they can charge you.

they're not real doctors, they basically craft hobbiests with a lab coat.

whey never give stright answers and are all smiles and platitudes even and even do work they are not at the skill level to perform.

you have to pay be seen for an 'examination' before even getting treatment. this is expensive and doesn't garrentee a good dentist or treatment afterwards. it's like schrodinger's cat.

they self regulate complains in their own practices and the GDC system is drawn out and a joke. they have an interest to cover each others backs and bury malpracitce with lies so no justice for patients. also there is no open active system of review to see if a dentist or practice is actually any good.

on the subject of the materials they use. they are not safe. they use soft langage saying white or composite fillings and amalgam or silver... no explianation of what this actually is... if most patients knew they would tell the dentist to fuck off. amalgam -> mercury like 50% more or less and is out dated by like 150 years although they will use this to justify it's use. many countries have banned it's use such as japan but it's cheap.

composite is a plastic resin such as BisGMA that releases bisphenol A which is a pysoestrogen and floride with causes genetic damage through ensyeme (forgive spelling) disruption is cells, flourosis and leaches calcium which acutally worsens the conditional of teeth and ofcourse hormone changes..

i could go on but you have google. in most instances the above is minor but can cause long term chronic damage.

oh and fucking arrogance. yep they really are kikes.

oh and did i mention descaling because now dentists won't touch that. it's been turnt into a non skilled job so you have to pay for some pleb to do it even more money.

high street opticans do this as well. using half skilled practioners.. it's cheaper because the machines do most the work but what if their is a condition they overlook because they don't have the knowledge to correctly understand deeper eye physiology or biology.

>actively damage peoples health.
no

>if there is nothing wrong with your teeth they will find something so they can charge you.
Do you think i tell every person to rip out their teeth and replace them with implants or something

>you have to pay be seen for an 'examination' before even getting treatment
ill dig into you straight away next time

>they self regulate complains in their own practices
not sure how your uk system is but people lose licenses over here for what youre describing

>muh mercury in amalgam
>muh composites
top kek. we say amalgam to hide the fact that it has mercury in it, youve caught us.

Your posts all read with ridiculous spelling errors and as if you have a personal vendetta against a dentist rather than the profession. Take your butthurt about whichever dentist fucked you elsewhere

and the depressing this is although the nhs could be worse and i'm gratefully for it (like a slave gratefully for not being beaten more) i have friends all around the world and in many apsects i envy my friends in east europe, aisa and areas of latin america for the health care they can get.

We could actually try charging foreigners who use it instead of letting them get away without paying.

it's true i have contempt for dentists in general and ofcourse they colours my view but you haven't addressed they points (maybe because of lack of uk knowledge but muh) and using ad hominens. yes my spelling sucks.
it just smells like your butt hurt and shilling (you might want to check your cognative disodence)...
i'm disaffected by this because i'm not a good goy... also your an oz poster so...

Motherfucker do you know how to use a keyboard?

I said muh because of how silly your fear of amalgams is, how one could have an entire mouth of amalgam fillings yet never get close to the recommended limit of mercury ingestion. Your fear of it stands on the element alone and not in the amalgam form it is in wherein it's mixed with tin copper silver etc.

>I'm butthurt
I'm not the one making triple posts about how mad I am at dentists, I'm the one saying how you're an illiterate who's bad experience has made him think I'm out to rob him

Take it easy brah, I hope you recover from the stroke you had or whatever, I'll go rob a cunt just for ya :^)

but i shall say i feel sorry for your patients because the ego you show closes your mind to dangerous levels or arrogance and glossing over of real points will harm them.

if you were unique or special it would be horiffic rather than just depressing.

Undo PFI
Kick out pakis

Oh yeah, kick out middle managers

These are the facts retards will ignore because it conflicts with their ideology.

>identify the most wasteful/least-efficient areas
>designate special committees as a last ditch effort for 3 years to try and turn them around
>if no major improvement after 3 years, open up the area to bids from private companies
>require private companies to provide proof-of-concept and full documentation of how they will increase efficiency in that area
>allocate the money that would have gone to the NHS to the private company instead
>review whether the private company is meeting their obligations/agreements every 3 years, if not, open the area up to bidding again

Quite simple really. Only inbred fucking retards think privatisation is bad.

whey does my shiity keyboard bother so much you?

cough cough
>in most instances the above is minor but can cause long term chronic damage.
you are glossing this over and that amalgam is outdated and that murcury is toxic... it just is.

i'm replying and posting because this is a forum thread funnierly enough but you can choose to reply or not. i any case i don't need the last comment like you clearly do, are you really so insecure about your child pornographer profession?

oh well time for a latte.

>it just is
ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3388771/?report=classic

>insecure
I quite enjoy what I do and am well remunerated for it, I do some charity work here and there as well and on the whole and am quite happy. I just don't like people running around spreading falsehoods

>product for which there is virtually limitless demand due to the essential nature of healthcare
>just one customer with very deep pockets
What could go wrong?

What's your opinion on hare-brained schemes like "Denticare"?

Are you principled and thus oppose it?

My health insurance doubled since the EU ruled that women have to pay the same as men in private insurances.

But you could start with how Germany has it.
Make it partly private. Give the doctors and hospitals more freedom in accounting.

In Germany you can get private insurance at a certain income and self employed people and state employees get also private insurance.

Then increase the amount doctors get for private patients.
In Germany everything is regulated.
Every procedure has a price tag set by the state, much like the NHS. (This is bad of course, but cannot change that for now)

For private patients there is a factor in this tag.
For state insured patients doctors get factor 1, for private patients doctors get 1.7 or 2.5 and for premium service 3 to 3.5 depending on time.

In Germany there is always a battle between these systems. Even if the bills are at least double as much, private health insurance is about half as much with better services.
This part the socialists in power never understand.
At the moment it looks like the state system is winning though, but it would be easy to tip it over with simple policy changes in Germany.

Make it easier to get private insurance, lower pay for treating state insured patients, deny procedures and care to patients above 70.
Stop forcing people under 35 or at all to get health insurance.
Then start that no one new is accepted in the state insurance, and let the old people in the state system die.

to be fair to you (disreguarding your sick profession) you do come off as likable in this post.

however...
murcury is toxic... are you suggesting that it is acceptable to use toxic materials to implant fill or whatever into peoples body? maybe you think we should use cyanide by that rationale.

your post is an interesting read... but studies have bias to support whatever stance they hold and this is an abstract. the acutal results and methodology of this would be required to refute this. until i see the the specifics i'm inclinded to be skepical because i'm sure we can both pull studies out or arses to prove our viewpoint. it's redundent.

i'm not spreading falsehoods. i have witnessed this culture in uk dentistry firsthand and people are welcome to do their own research and i would encourge them to do so regarding the safety of the materials dentists use. dentists and doctors in general routinely take advantage of and exploit patients lack of knowledge and this is how they get away with fucking people and being kikes in general. furthermore truth doesn't fear analysis and critique.

i have to say you as a person seem ok and respect charity work (white mans burden) but your profession is fucked at least in the UK. I can't speak for how it is there. Like with health care as a whole i believe it is better in other countries... I can only speak of my experiences here and the nhs (which includes a very primative and also flawed dentistry arm).

also i would recommned chai latte as a side point completely off topic. it's rather good.

You can't have an NHS system if you have an open border to 500,000,000 people.

Sorry, it's absurd.

Either control immigration or have private healthcare.

The NHS spends money that doesn't exist. We are spending more than we have.

Either control immigration or get rid of the NHS.
