Blu rays

ok Sup Forums im starting a blu ray collection and i was hoping for your input, what are some of the best movies to own on blu ray?

pic related: its going to be my first purchase

The entire Criterion collection

Avatar The Extended Cut

Seriously? more than 100 years of cinema and that's the first movie you buy? Got change for hand lotion budget too?

>purchase

its 6 euro at my local movie place fuck off

What does it matter if he buys particular movies in particular order? You maybe got to revaluate your values.

Alien Anthology

Logan, perhaps. It's b/white in blue ray edition i think, so theres that. Best x-men movie, too, and the end of the wolverine series, if you value that sort of things for your collection.

>Buying porn for blu ray

You're disgusting. Below plebeian. Pure white trash.

Fucking brainlet, I'm embarrassed that you exist

What kind of things are you looking for/want your collection to be like? I'm just going to be dropping great movies in the main time. In Bruges.

Fuck off pleb, dont defend this faggot buying porn as first choice. OF COURSE it matters what the order is since this thread implies the first purchase is one he has been thinking of buying as first choice you complete fucking retard

Grow up, kid.

'The Grand Budapest Hotel'.

Kill yourself kid

You should end your life brandon, no one likes you

'Casino Royale', 'The Life of Pi', 'Slumdog Millionaire'.

You guys are gonna love my kino collection

weird how only Suicide Squad has the DC logo on the side

What the fuck is your end game

What is your problem? It's a collection, it doesnt matter. End yourself, you pretentious imbecile.

'Zodiac', 'Forrest Gump', 'The King's Speech'.

>It's a collection, it doesnt matter

Wtf does this mean?

I'm not pretentious, you literally show off your less than average IQ with this. I feel kinda sad for you.

On the "purchases that share the name of the format" theme, Three Colours: Blue, Derek Jarman's Blue, and Betty Blue.

Collecting kino

Why don't you get Salon Kitty and Behind the Green Door too, you fucking onanist.

The order in which you obtain your collection doesn't matter, you fucking dense summer underage.

Shawshank Redemption. Something from Tarantino doesn't really matter. Anything from Del Toro.

>FIVE TFA's
nani!?

Can someone gimme a quick rundown of the plot so I can know if this is something I'd like to watch?

>starting a bluray collection
>now, when UHD is on its way
Those are going to be obsolete in 7 years time bro. Better just keep torrenting.

Fucking kill yourself pleb capeshitter.

Shawshank is not worthy of Blu.

blue ruin and blue valentine

don't you need a new tv to view those correctly?

A coming-of-age story where shy girl finds out about world beyond her school and sami-ordinary friends in the form of a rebellious art student girl which she falls in love with. A mostly melodramatic movie with quite heavy, graphical erotic scenes.

500 Days of Summer for dykes and people who like to watch dyke scenes.

So you will ignore a good movie ijust bc it's a cape movie? You're a cardboard cutout hollow personality. Kys.

It's not good, though, you just think it is because it's almost not cretinous by the standards of its mongoloid genre.

>good movie
Seriously you redditors need to fuck off immediately.

Oh and of course there is a sexual exploration theme in the movie tho its not really explored itself beyond just sex scenes with lesbos and dialogues like 'I fuck other people and that's okay'.

2bh I'm not really clear on 4k vs UHD thing. I have one of those new smart TVs that's 4k but not UHD. Personally I hate the smart functions, they get in the way and it always asks to be connected to wifi, but it can play MKV files from a USB drive without needing anything else which is sweet as fuck. Anyway blurays do have a memory limit and watching an ultra high definition 4k file with no compression is going to be huge. Maybe blurays will keep up. If people were smart they'd just sell movies on flash drives instead of disks but that's probably too buyer friendly.

Perhaps. I'm not into capemovies that much. I thought it was well shot and well portrayed (in a way like if I would imagine those characters are real).
It certainly wasn't bad.

>well shot
You couldn't recognize good cinematography if it hit you on the face.

Post good cinematography and explain why is it good.

The New World - Criterion Collection
Lawrence of Arabia 50th Anniversary
Batman v Superman Dawn of Justuce - Ultimate Edition
Y Tu Mama Tambien - Criterion
Fantastic Planet - Criterion

Poetic naturalism, double exposure, light play.
Again, kill yourself, capeshit eating retard.

So you're just pulled these buzz words out of your ass, that's you explanation of good cinematography? I somehow wasn't expecting more to be honest.

Not understanding such simple concepts that have been used by academics throughout the lifespan of the medium goes hand in hand with liking capeshit?
Go figure...

Interstellar is a must have for picture quality
