Endtown 13/07/16 When the wind blows

...so this was the zero hour.

>That's Endtown
OH
MY GOD

Yeah, again, didn't Aaron say somewhere they had a week to go? So have they been wandering the city for one very compressed week, or is this just a prelude, especially since we haven't seen or heard anything about the sports stadium death camps?

Wait, I recognize that blurry squirrel on the last panel, same position and everything.

More like the entrance to Endtown. Endtown itself is a mile or two down. My guess is the elevator shafts will turn out to be either the original openings to the tubeways they use to get down there, or another set (back door?).

Here we go, found it.

Thought it looked familiar.

What If the radio annocenment is about the mutant outbreak instead of the bombs?

She looks like a tiny Flask.

He also used the same dog guy from

Nervous squirrel girl is mai waifu

NEATHERLY CONFIRMED A HACK WHO TRACES HIS OWN PICS

Doesn't even look like a trace, more like an asset that was added digitally and adjusted, made slightly blurrier and flipped for the squirrel.

Yeah that's how I recognized her, from one of the "obscure background waifu" discussions.

>copypastin
>miscarriage

Aaron confirmed Buckley.

So cute

HOLY SHIT NOW I HATE THIS COMIC SO MUCH

How much until people start posting normal pages commenting LOL on it?

LOL

Why didn't you tell us about the new thread?

I see it...

Oh, fuck y-
NO. Fuck YOU. Now I can't unsee it...

I thought she was a cat.

>Oh, fuck y-
Hey, what the Hell?!

>mfw the cake will be burned

>probably no place for prewar Walt story
>mfw there's a chance of ANOTHER flashback in the next arc

>squirrel

Look at the teeth on , either she's a squirrel or some sort of rodent.

>everyone huddles together, bracing for the end

>an elevator rises up the shaft with a DING

>motherfucking Mallard

Or a bunny, we can't be sure until we see more of her.

...

Coming to feel a bit like a crutch, aren't they?

she looks like a bunny to me.

I just want to get back to the present.

>Bunny
And here I am wasting my time changing her into a cat...

He meant to quote >"Get in bitches, we're rebuilding society."

C'mon I sure that the first time this comic was posted on Sup Forums many people was wondering If this was some kind of loss edit.

To be honest I prefer that to be his own arc, here it would have looked to accumulated and would have lost the point of this flashback being about Holly.

Those aren't teeth, it's just her chin. She looks more similar to other cats Aaron has done.

I mean, we even have an actual squirrel right there to compare against.

The intention it's what matters

Then I intend to just turn her into whatever people desire.
So she's a bunny now. fuck it.

cute! she looks better this way

Now make her a mouse, no a dog, no a bird, no a possum...

I can kind of see that, but the lack of ears makes it hard to tell. Could be is right, but that one line down the "chin" looks more like teeth to me.

Implying that she's not a really tall hamster

I forgot. Today needs me everywhere.

Now draw all three fighting each other.

Dear god user, what have you done!!!???

Progress on a game written in C++ so far...

Well, I got a window to work as well as load images and input controls. The basic framework is set up, I just need to fill in the blanks.

That is a poorly drawn sprite of Brock in the picture. He is going to be the test player character until I can finally decide what I'm gonna do with player characters in general.
Can you guess his mutation?
If you answered alligator, you'd be right!

So yeah, working on basic sprite sheets and tile sets. I'll continue with coding from there.

I was originally planning on making it a top-down RPG similar to Fallout (except not isometric at the moment). If you think there is a more fitting genre, let me know.

>fighting
>not fucking

>but that one line down the "chin" looks more like teeth to me
That's just motion blur.

How big you need the sprites to be? Maybe I can help.

Thanks, now I can finally have a fursona

Originally they were all going to be 32x32, but it wouldn't be too difficult to scale them up or down if necessary.

Kaz?

So I see you decide to continue with that idea, hope it turns well, have you already thought in a combat system? Survivar RPG sounds good, maybe some horror elements?

She's still salvageable!

She's still cute enough to be a waifu!

In truth, we were all completely wrong.

Aaron reveals that she's actually a gorilla moving through the crowd very quickly.

It were the Lucranians user, they are everywhere

The she's yours.
be gentle...

l.. lewd!

There's a new trash thread up and running, just saying.

Yup. It should be easy enough to incorporate horror given the Topsiders and monsters (given that they pose a significant threat to the player).

Schism Syndrome is also another idea to draw from.

How indecent!

Thank you kindly. If you don't mind me asking, may we see her trying to look pretty, like wearing a dress?

32x32... got it. Gonna do some spriting tonight then. Have something recent that I've done for an exploration game I'm prototyping in gamemaker. I might as well pull something out of the drawer where it was sitting for 15 years now.

You think it'd be better in color or keep it in grayscale?

Give me few minutes to figure it out. If anything what works great for pixel art is limited palette.

I mean look at this example here - I can do really nice half-tones there and there because I I'm not limited to 256 these days but if I push it back to 256 (Or 64 since I aim for a more Amiga-like experience which is 32 base colours + 32 darker variants of which, giving a total of 64). Hell people can make 16 colours appealing - look at Quest for Glory 2 and the Shema dance scene even with a character consisting of 4-5 colours you can convey movement and grace surprisingly well.

check the trash thread.

Oh that's cheap Aaron!

I have, and left my thanks.

Why is it that anytime someone makes a mistake it ends up being a staple in these threads?

>no mercy

At this point we might get a flashback within a flashback.

Cool!

This is my idea of the redesign - big eyes give ability to emote and so does the brow. Bigger heads are more of Terrytoon/Aaron's staple. There's enough place for a mouth to produce a smile, frown, grin etc. meaning that the character/characters will be able to express their distress at occuring situations without having a pop-up box reminding them or a silly cloud emote to do so.

Resized version for looking at.

That's a sexy whateveritis

Sounds great, I think that the grayscale would work better, maybe throw some strong color like red.

You know... those to copypasted mutants abound in the last panel...it would have been actually better without them.

Ah, beautiful. Much better than what I have.

i agree, i guess Aaron was running late on this update and decided to "speed up" the process.

he did it before with some of the lizards but i can totally understand that since those lizards not only looked alike, but they were a shit ton.

Actually fixed some problems with texturing - forgot Allie had few ridges on her snout so I reflected that with a delicate halftone. Here's my assumption, user - 32 colours of grayscale. That way you'll get a good array of grays with them looking quite nicely. The sprite uses about 8 so far.

If you'll want my services for the game you're doing, I'm not doing much this summer and some freelancer spriting won't hurt my time budget.

My problem with that last panel is that as I see more, more unfitted they become, like you can really tell that they were photoshoped

How this character should be named?

I originally went with Brock so I could do a running gag of people confusing him for a crocodile (Brock the Croc) instead of an alligator, but I'm open to suggestions.

Bumping the thread, since it's very unlively today.

That would be nice if you have the time.

Do you have any tips for background/tile work as well?

A little strange since this page has been interesting, I really want to see what's up with the radio announcement, how they will built the elevadors to go down with a time limit of a week and who is that castor guy.

I think everyone's in the OOP thread, since there seems to be some overlap.

Speaking of, I still think this guy was a sly Yinglet reference.

I think the "elevators" are the tops of those tube things, which means any machinery is probably at the bottom, hence the apparent emptiness.

What do you want to exactly achieve and I can throw in some tips.

He seems like a normal rat for me, but then, where are the rats? unless he is the original rat

It could be, probably they are just waiting to activated in the right time? After all Farx told them that "stuff was being prepared"

Well, I was thinking of having it all be a straight overhead view with 32x32 tiles as the player moves from tile to tile. Usually they have it in a forward angle (such as in the image here) but I think it'd look off.

Ask Aaron what he is?

Canonically he probably is a rat (or an opossum), but in terms of being a reference, it's not just the shape of the snout and the teeth, he also has pretty yingletty eyes, I think.

As for the not-actually-mutants-but-something-more-mysterious rats, I have a feeling we'll be seeing them soon...

Apparently rats were there since day one, wonder what will be the reaction of the other mutant when they see a buch of midgets with guys

I'm waiting for the inevitable "What are you guys if not mutants?"

RPG summary from last thread, if anyone's interested

I worked with that angle before. I'd say it's a fairly good thing to work with if you want the player to observe a good chunck of the playerfield and have unrestricted movement (And I think I'd need to redesign the character a little bit to fit that as the angle requires the character to be a bit 'from above').

My tips would be: figure out how to do "Being behind" obstacles. That's something a lot of these games do wrong - see Hyper Light Drifter. It causes disordentation when the PC goes behind an obstacle.

Second: Figure out the "Speed" of the game. If it's gonna be fast, abolish the grid and make the movement, if it's gonna be slow, think about using grid movement, maybe even action-reaction timing instead of real-time.

>Some mutant is decided to find the truth about the rats
>Gets captured by them
>"So you want to know what we are eh?"
>They take their cloths off and then proceed to open a zipper behind their backs
>You were expecting Lucranians isn't?
No, rats are actually oompa loompas
Endtown was built about the old Willy Wonka factory

Would you even get radio reception in the sewers?

Furry magic, ain't gonna explain that shit

Hey everyone, i am new here. Few days ago i saw one of this threads and desided to read Endtown, considering the fact i'm now sitting at home on my wacation, playing computer games and aimlessly spending my days. I can't help reading it for a week and now i'm near the end, stoped at the lizard colony and mad racoon. For some reason "gocomics.com" is not working at this moment (not forever, i hope) and i have a feeling i must write something here, and the main thing is - i really liked it. Endtown have great characters, all of them interesting and cute and many of them are goddamn sexy yes, furfag is here. Art is good, stories are interesting and touching. One thing i feel weird about - Aaron Marx. Whole his line seemed little strange and outstanding to me, i would prefer to see something more, well, realistic, dark and scientific story. But maybe it's my problem - i'm the guy who would kill to see the collar version of Zootopia. Anyway, Endtown is great. Hate to think that in one or two days i will finish it and will have to wait for new strips. I think now I will often come to this threads and to the threads in /trash/ for a new porn. Thank you for open this world to me.

P.S.: Sorry for my english - i'm not good in it.

P.P.S.: Flask is my waifu now.

>people who are not furries being forced to be furries

what is this fetish called?

forced furfagization?

>Aaron Marx

he's the worst, everyone hates him so it's ok.

>Flask

Flask did nothing wrong.

Also, welcome to endtown!.

I think is called transformation
