They wouldn't have. Dave is on record as saying TCWs was Lucas' baby and none of them felt right continuing it without him. All they've given us since them on TCWs is stuff that was already plotted out before he retired.
What are improvements the new canon has made over Legends/the EU?
WB never had the rights to TCW. The closest they had was a distribution deal for the movie in 2008- they had absolutely nothing to do with the show beyond that.

It improved Darth Vader. In Legends he was slow and weakass. The new canon has made Vader as physically capable as he was before his prosthesis and rightfully far more powerful given he's a construct of the force. It's possibly debatable now that he is/was one of the most powerful Sith Lords and force weilders to have ever lived.
But yeah. To anyone who isn't a main film protagonist or Darth Sidious, he's an unstoppable nightmare. There is no chance of victory against him.

We don't know that for certain. Mind you, the Sarlacc keeps its victims alive as it digests them. If the Jawas pulled him out, there's a good chance it could've killed him.

When the suit is sealed it completes some kind of "system" with his limbs, making the pain lessen and make him feel whole again.

Oh yeah. He's still heavy as fuck. But you also have to take into account his own natural parts compensating, and boosts from the force (not unlike how he did before the prostheses).

Not anymore. All of it connects directly to his nervous system. Once the helmet goes on and completes the connection, the suit, the prosthetics feel as much apart of him as his own organic parts. Though out of the helmet, yes, he feels the nubs of his limbs and everything. And he uses that pain to feed his anger, that to fuel his hate, and all of that to deepen his connection to the force.

The last few years before the Disney buyout, the EU was doing a good job making Darth Vader threatening again, and I'm really glad that's been continued.
I highly recommend checking out Darth Vader and the Lost Command and Darth Vader and the Ghost Prison. I've yet to read the Ninth Assassin yet, but I'd imagine it's following the same principle.

That's really the best answer. Lucas never really considered the EU as being canonical but was content to let it fill in gaps he wasn't (yet) interested in filling with his own stories. That hardly means he didn't see certain merits or mind using certain elements here and there, but he was never going to let the EU stand in the way of telling the story the way he wanted to. He was a kind but stern father of Star Wars. Capable of patting his children on the head and showing them favor, but they still damn well did what he told them to.

He's definitely more kill-happy than before, but no more than the rest of the crew. From the clip they showed, Ezra doesn't actually seem that much edgier than before, just a little more grown up.
For some reason Vader is giving off some major Luke Cage vibes.
They way Ezra combines his flips and blaster shots with his lightsaber reminds me of Vaapad combined with Makashi.
Much different from the Shii-Cho Ezra used in S1.
Still, shameful display on his part, giving in to anger and letting it dictate his actions. If only his master could see him now.

Not really, or how I saw the scene. The way Sabine said it suggested to me that he's not some intense 100% badass all the time. He has his moments of hyper competence and combat kickassedness BUT the old goofy Ezra prone to butt monkey antics still exists.

Yeah, there's some weird cases where a character dies in one place but is alive in another. The go-to solution to that was usually "well that was a clone." At one point there were two separate Greedos. A clone (as in Jango clone) named Spar ended up becoming a living retcon, all to explain a variety of inconsistencies in Boba Fett's history- now a significant number of his appearances weren't actually Boba, they were Spar pretending to be Boba.
My absolute favorite though is Dooku's Force doppelganger, an explanation made to a fix a problem that didn't even exist. A video game lets you kill Dooku at the end, and rather than just say "well, it's a game, Dooku obviously didn't die there" they instead decide went with "dark side duplicate", which raises a shitload more questions and creates an even bigger conundrum than just saying "hey that didn't really happen."

Yeah, that's not a great example. The one where Sabine shoots one in the head point blank is a better one.
