>Another great S2 character was born today. Afraid of spiders?

It's a villain... meh

Is this show even good? I watched the first 4 episodes (stormy weather, bubbler, timebreaker, copycat) and imo it seemed really boring and repetitive

Those are pretty monotonous episodes indeed, you won't like the show in general if you're expecting either too much action or humor every 5 seconds the french already know that's a tired formula

I really wanted to like this show since I need more cartoons to watch. I've already caught up on SU and AT. I noticed on tumblr Miraculous is also popular with people who watch shows like that
It feels formulaic and tiring to watch, but maybe I'll give it another try

Sure

I had lots of fun with the copycat episode personally

what if one day marionette got a gun from the yo-yo

>better description
It is a mix of a magical girl cartoon and a superhero cartoon, focused on a strong female lead and her silly-yet-dependable co-hero. It features really good 3D CGI animation, a combination of school life and superhero activities, and a two-person love square dance.

>Is this show even good? I watched the first 4 episodes (stormy weather, bubbler, timebreaker, copycat) and imo it seemed really boring and repetitive
I'll be honest: my main interest is it being available in French. I've studied French for quite awhile, so seeing something fairly decent in the language is a good way to listen to it being spoken.

Other than that, it does have some surprisingly good animation. Most CGI doesn't attempt to stretch their character models so much - it reminds me of the way older Disney/WB cartoons handled it, and it looks very good in motion. And it's nice if you want something superhero/magical girl mixed up but without the tropes frequently present in either.

But if you've seen four episodes, then you probably have a very good idea of what the show is like. It doesn't change up all that much.

Thanks for making me waste my time trying to hunt down that mini-comic. I really didn't need to spend half an hour rolling around the various Miraculous Tumblrs, thank you.

What the fuck is that screenshot from

Evilest evil that ever eviled, here.

how long until Chat Noir stops ISIS by turning all of them gay?

I can't understand why I love that AU.

>Afraid of spiders?
Nope and looking forward to the episode.

because Nino is secretly a cutie and he needs more screen time and character development

I'm still betting on the Bee and the Fox being given to Nino and Alya in season 2

hopefully people maintain secret identities and Nino and Alya hate each other in costume, that would cute

That's acutally a part of the AU.
Alya is kind of a bitch as volpina.

not really familiar with the AU although I do love the art

>Alya is the Peacock
ok that makes no sense, I could see Master Fu giving up his Miraculous so someone else could us it to help since he is too old to now, although not before he gave away the Bee and the Fox instead, but Gabriel has the Peacock Miraculous

so if it gets used at all it will probably be used for evil, not counting the eventual flashback episode where Adrien's mom used to be the Peacock

I don't have any Alya volpina pics, so I used the one I had.

that's fair although personally if they end up doing the best friends get Miraculous too thing

my bet is Alya gets the Bee and Nino gets the Fox

Master Fu give Chat and Ladybug one miraculous to choose someone they think is worthy, they both choose their best friends, but Fu would give Ladybug the Bee since their both insects and Chat the Fox since their both mammals

So by the end of Season 2 I am expecting Bee Alya and Fox Nino

also Peacock Lila isn't impossible

I'm gonna be honest.
I don't think Master Fu will give out the other two miraculouses unless Hawkmoth ups his game.

Adrien is FAR too comfortable being a female harlequin, I swear to god.

probably not

although if Hawkmoth gives out the Peacock Miraculous to create a permanent villain to assist his akumas that would probably count as upping ones game enough to call for 2 new heroes

I mean he knows the Lila still hates Ladybug although its unclear if his powers would work on her again, besides an Akuma alone is clearly not strong enough against both Ladybug and Chat Noir, he needs someone how dislikes Ladybug but is easy for him to manipulate and control

I mean he probably knows about her crush on Adrien he could probably show her his true identity and make some shit up about letting her have his son after they succeed and defeating Ladybug and Chat Noir, would be kind of an ironic twist, Lila a seemingly compulsive liar getting manipulated by someone else's lies

You wouldn't be?
It was a transformation beam user, it's not like it'd cause discomfort.

Hawkmoth hasn't really lied to anybody, just makes a deal and intends to keep it.
I mean he gives them powers in exchange for the miraculouses. They never follow through on their end.

Having a more permanent minion would be a benefit and he probably would follow through on giving Adrien to Lila.

I mean he already knows that Adrien is Chat Noir, I doubt even he thinks that he could make his son marry or date someone who literally tries to kill him

but the point is that Hawkmoth would probably feel like he could control Lila and Hawkmoth seems to be all about keeping himself safe and staying in control, the only time he didn't also probably freaked him out and made certain that he wasn't gonna put himself in harms away again

or at least not until like the climax of season 2 where he will probably come for Adrien in person once he finally decides to confront Chat Noir head on

>Hawkmoth uses his pimp cane to fight Chat 1 on 1.
I would dig that.

Adrien could steal the Peacock out of the vault same as when he took the book

Ladybug could introduce Chat Noir to the Guardian, show him the empty spots in the box and he could realize he'd seen the Peacock Miraculous before.

I mean that cane probably has some magical powers we haven't seen yet, just like Chat's Staff or Ladybug's Yoyo

It was important enough to be depicted in that book of past Miraculous users

I feel like after the book was stolen Gabriel is gonna put his important Miraculous stuff somewhere safer, after all he is living with his own mortal enemy

Is Kung Food made after these kind of episodes? In that episode Marinette can handle being touched by Adrien in the shoulders and although at first awkward, can speak normally with him.

In the episodes after that, she seems to return to being the awkward girl around Adrien again. It's frustrating.

Sorry about the low resolution user.
This is the episode time-line.

What's the reasoning behind this?

Sorry, I should clarify. Is this fan-made, and if so, what is the reasoning behind the order? If it is official, alright then.

interesting

what is the source on this?

also Nino and Alya do not act like they have been together for over half of the show

just more reasons that Nino needs more screen time and character development

It's a long post.

Fan-made by some people on Tumblr.

Every Miraculous blong on tumblr if you go down enough.

amour-chasse-croise.tumblr.com/post/142955283453/miraculous-ladybug-timeline-complete

Here is the full post.

Here it is in one hard-to-read image.

this actually seems pretty solid

would be nice if we could get an official word though I mean even the original French order is clearly off I mean Guitar Villain comes before Numeric in the order when its clear that chronologically Numeric has to happen first

It depends on when Gabriel notices that the book is missing.

And Adrien would still know the Peacock Miraculous is in his father's possession. It wouldn't take much to search his own home

Yeah but it's meant to be viewd out of sequence.

I mean he seemed to mainly be paying attention to the book, and he likely doesn't have a photographic memory but maybe he will realize that was it

although Volpina kinda proved that looking like a Miraculous doesn't mean much and isn't that hard to find, it took her like 10 minutes to find a replica of the Fox Miraculous

I mean that doesn't mean you shouldn't tell people the chronological order

I mean Haruhi Suzumiya should be watched in the original order but that doesn't mean people shouldn't know the chronological order

I agree. Chronology doesn't really mean that much in the series, but stuff like the development of Marinette-Adrien's relationship does have some sort of a forward flow to it, and the airing order kind of make a mess out of it.

And the English airing order doesn't make sense, either.

It's right in front of the picture of his mother and he noticed that

It's weird knowing her Akuma-tized form is far less evil than her normal form.

fuck this barbie, seriously

GUYS WAIT!
What if, just what if, like hypothetically speaking
Hawkmoth's real identity
is
Adrien's dad's evil twin brother?

who was also in love with Gabriel's wife?

you should write soup operas user

>soup operas
I wish I know enough soup varieties to make fun of your typo through an extra long greentext stories from this Soup Drama utilizing deep knowledge of liquid foods. All I can do is just stew on my lack on my knowledge.

Does anyone know if Nick is ever going to get off their ass and show the rest of season 1? Or are they TRYING to kill this series?

Most people want her to be the holder of the Bee Miraculous when Hawkdaddy himself said that bitches and assholes aren't allowed a Miraculous.

Nick starts airing again in Agust (apparently).
It's suspected that Miraculous season two will start in France in Febuary of 2017.

Might be getting two specials between now and then.

I mean they couldn't even if they tried to, its an international success and nick only controls its airing in the USA

if they keep screwing around Zag might bail on them and give the airing rites to Disney instead like they have in pretty much every other country

>Hawkdaddy himself said that bitches and assholes aren't allowed a Miraculous
This. I never liked the idea of her getting one, though I do admit it's interesting enough for a fan theory. Same with Alya and the fox. I want new characters dammit!

But Nino should definitely get the turtle one. There's no way that old man is gonna living that long by himself.

we don't need more characters, we have plenty of characters we need to develop them more

Nino will get the Fox, Alya will get the Bee, Lila might get the Peacock

If Master Fu gives up his Miraculous he will probably die the man is 186, I'm willing to bet its his magic turtle bullshit that has kept him alive this long

>Lila
>getting anything
Nah man. She's more of a bitch than Chloe. Besides I thought that new guy from the Princess Fragrance episode was getting the peacock. This series isn't really known for it's "character of the day" type episodes and I'm sure he'll have plenty of opportunities in later episodes.

Turtles are extremely long lived.

According to some we'll be getting a new hero next season.
Thing is it doesn't have to be another Miraculous user. Thomas has teased other ways of getting powers.

Wait, wait, the finale of the show isn't a two-parter?

Or is "Origins" supposed to be the finale?

I mean Gabriel has the Peacock Miraculous so it will probably end up being used by a villain

and who irrationally hates Ladybug, wants revenge and is known to Hawkmoth? Lila

Origins is the finale

Ah, okay. I thought "Origins" was like extra episodes set as a prequel.

...

Miraculous superheroes is magical, so maybe the next non-Miraculous superhero is technological.

...

...

thats just never a good idea

don't mix science and magic, it always end up being terrible bullshit

Lila is not worse than Chloe.

The worst thing Lila did was steal the book from Adrien. And Marinette stole the book from her and decided not to give it back to Adrien.

Chloe has stolen more shit, lied about worse shit and single handedly given Hawkmoth half of his victims.

This is true, but according to Thomas under all the lies she's still kind of a bitch.

Wait, it IS a prequel! A prequel to the whole series is the series finale? Chronologically, the series ends on the MC just about to talk to the guy who masterminded the entire series?

I haven't watched the webisodes yet, but is that it? The first series is almost purely monster-of-the-week episodes with not even a 'special' finale that breaks the format? I mean, I enjoyed the whole ride, but...I don't know, I expect more.

I actually don't know why I expect more. I feel bad now that I feel bad about this show not following my heightened expectations. What a waste of 9-10 hours.

aaargh

There's "bitch" like Lila and then there's "exquisite hyper-harlotry" like Chloe.

To be fair, almost nobody was actually expecting it to do as well as it has done.
It was meant to be something to fill the seasons and snowballed.

Next thing it has been green lit for three seasons and more content is on the horizon.

>exquisite hyper harlotry.
Fucking golden user.

the webisodes aren't really anything

I mean no offence, but if you had asked most people they would have told you that, there are a few episodes that aren't just monster of the week or have a bit more going on

like Simonsays and Volpina but its all pretty monster of the week

although personally I never felt it was a waste simply because I enjoyed the characters

I was somehow expecting that "the bit more going on" is an actual 'finale' where at least they shook up the format and, I don't know, have Ladybug lose for once. I was afraid to ask for more details regarding the finale because, well, I enjoyed the ride and don't want to be spoiled. There's very few things that annoy me (Plagg's idiocy with Chloe's ring) about the show.

I genuinely don't know why I expect that kind of finale from the show.

>it has been green lit for three seasons
Wait, really? 3 seasons? Wow.

I mean Origins was decent, basically explained Hawkmoth's motives and hammered the nail in pretty hard if you hadn't already figured out who he was from Simonsays. Explained the little things, like why Chat and Ladybug knew about Hawkmoth even though he clearly never shows up himself

I will grant that Origins is a bit more an episode about finally giving us some answers rather than a big action cherry on top of everything.

Why didn't ladybug just use the yoyo the first second she got?
Why didn't chat noir just kills everything with catalism?

So she's a middle school girl

Cataclysm is a oneshot power, he can only use it once and then 5 minutes later he loses his transformation and needs to find cheese to feed Plagg

Honestly his power is pretty lame, Ladybug can reverse all of the effects of villains and fix all sorts of damage and potentially bring the dead back to life. Chat Noir doesn't have anything on that scale.

I mean depends on what school system, in American schools I believe they would be in 9th grade which is high school in America, although many of countries equivalent grade would be considered middle school still

Marinette and Adrien is in the collège, the 'junior high' of France, from age 13-15.

I meant that teenaged girls act like backstabbing double crossing bitches

Yup, they're working on them along with season two.
Thomas wants to get rid of hiatus time.

Lucky charm is situational.
It's entirely possible that she gets something she can't use right away.

Chat's power is a 1-time use thing and while its powerful it'd take a lot of skill to use it properly.
If he started fightinging properly he'd be pretty dman good.

Depends on the dub.
English she's 15 and in high-school.
French she's 14 and in middle-school.

French is always correct since its the original

I mean English dub does some weird shit, like Hawkmoth ranting about wanting to take over the world

Not enough images!

The English dub does a lot of things wrong.
Like Nino. Poor, poor Nino.

It does some things very right though.
Like the Origins episode stadium scene.

Save it for tonight user.

Just to make sure, the power of Cataclysm is to 'rot' things or 'break' things, yeah?

Then how could that do this, then, in Origins part 2? He had never shown this specificity in Cataclysm before, once it rots a structure it always rots the whole thing. And even then, what he touches breaks down, it doesn't stay.

It's selective user.
Take a look at a few of the episodes, Chat can seemingly controle the radius and the level of rot/destruction.

Gonna be honest I assumed he made a hole for his staff before he extended it.

...

he can seemingly control it

check out the end of Antibug his Cataclysm breaks the floor specifically to only trap Chloe and it doesn't destroy the whole thing or even the section he is directly touching

Okay, I agree that he can control the extent of the destruction. It breaks 'the universe' inside Numeric's cameras and let everyone out. In Antibug and (I think) Rogercop he breaks the floor to trap the enemy. But it is still 'destroying' things. What Chat Noir does there is somehow making a bronze beam shoot out from the Tower.

And it's not like he rots a specific segment of the tower that then fall down to form the beam, the beam shoots out of the tower.

Yeah I have no idea how he does that.
I won't argue that it doesn't make sense.

Unless he rots a hole to make a beam slide through so he can catch the kid.

>Not enough images!
Okay, here. Have a couple.

And another.

>Ladybug in Christmas
I wonder if it'll air this Christmas.

It will probably air SOMEWHERE around Christmastime. Might be Korea or France, but most likely somewhere.

Broadcasters enjoy airing episodes out of order anyways, so there isn't much of a stretch into cutting out the Christmas episode and putting it back in during December.

I wonder if it'll have santa be an actual character.
