Azrael?

Wolfman vigilante

Wild Dog is the closest followed by Vigilante (who's getting his own miniseries in a few months).

Vigilante

Also, kinda the Spectre, though he takes more from Ghost Rider.

Batman

>implying ghost rider doesn't take more from spectre

The spectre i guess. Emphasizes the difference between street level/fantasy between the 2 companies pretty well too imo although there's probably some more comparable c lister

The parallels people draw between has always seemed rather forced to me.

Red Hood i guess, all though hes nowhere near as cool as Punisher.

Green Arrow

Kind of Jonah Hex maybe, if not just for his habit of shooting people in the face.

Midnighter.

The Funisher.

Ambush Bug

Thomas Wayne Sr.

What parallels?

in the movieverse? batman, as of snyder's latest "masterpiece"

in the comicverse? green arrow maybe?

Green Arrow does what he does, literally, because he's a SJW

>Azrael
Wasn't there a crossover between Punisher and Azrael?

Hitman?

>Vigilante

Winner

This.

vimeo.com/141815988

Yeah, the first Batman one.

It was by O'Neil.

...

This. He's more like the Funisher, though.

this

People tend to point to them both being human, using gadgets, symbols, as well as losing their loved ones. They are very superficial, I even seen people call The Punisher, "Batman with guns."

I find it interesting though that Punisher is a father who lost his family and Batman is a son who lost his parents.

Hm.

Not bad, actually.

>funisher

underrated post

>Wild Dog

can someone sell me on this guy

I see him mentioned a bunch of times but I dunno if he's worth it

is he hilarious or what? what's the appeal?

...

Do Hitman and Red Hood ever hang out? I feel like there could be an interesting team-up dynamic there.

If Punisher sold sofas, he's be the Furnisher

no

tommy died before DC could dilute his character

It's trying REALLY hard to be "realistic" and "down to earth" in comparison to other cape universe comics, but it ends up being slightly ludicrous because of his laughable costume and how hilariously over the top the action scenes are (like him killing people with a crossbow when he has a loaded gun right there in his other hand or randomly front kicking someone so hard in the face that it kills him or lighting niggas on fire [!!!] or barreling through terrorists in a pick up truck because fuck everything). It's written by the guys behind Ms. Tree IIRC, but the writing's not their best effort. It still gets points for DC at least trying to do their own Punisher and the result actually ending up a combination of "so bad that it's good" and "actually somewhat genuinely enjoyable". A big part of the character's cult following is because it seems like it COULD have been a top tier vigilante story and it might have ALMOST achieved that, but in the end he comes across as the most ghetto vigilante ever and doesn't seem to even realize it (and the writer's don't seem to either lol). He's like that guy who sort of sucks at something, but tries REALLY hard and doesn't even realize he sucks, which comes off as not-quite-but-close-almost endearing in his case. He also had a sort-of teen sidekick, which is just the most ill-advised thing ever.

holy shit this sounds fantastic, thanks user

is there just the one run? or do I have to track down a specific one?

There's a miniseries then a feature in Action Comics for a while

Whole thing (original miniseries + one-shot + all three serialized stories from Action Comics Weekly in archived form [compiled those myself, so you won't find them anywhere else unless other people have added them to torrents/hubs/etc.]) plus a legit hilarious fan comic.

>the most ghetto vigilante ever
And he's gonna show up In GA soon too so CLASS WARFARE.

>www11.

>all of wild dog is around 8 issues

aw

thought that was a sign post at first

I know he's never supposed to come back and probably shouldn't either, but I kinda miss having him around desu. He could've made for a lot of fun team-ups.

Earth3 owlman but evil

Wow. Sad to see nobody said the Beard Hunter from Grant Morrisons Doom Patrol.
>>forshame

I've only read half of Hitman
does he ever leave Gotham?

cuz if he kinda went Preacher style trip but without any real purpose and just solving fucked up shit and being badass would that be the worst reboot?
They're making Shade, The Changing Girl and no one cares

Red Hood these days.

I don't trust the modern comics industry, maybe if ennis came back to do it, but still

tommy leaves gotham a bunch of times and even goes to space and writes on the JL's crapper

SuperNeckSnapper.
