Twitter's planning a scorch earth banning campaign this November. Day of the Rope, by way of the liberals. Basically, Twitter's decided to go all in on purging the place of ALL conservative voices, basically openly saying that if you are conservative, you are not welcome there.
Major lists are being made, to ban (as of current estimates) around 2/3rds of the Twitter userbase. If you shared a "bad" hashtag that is conservative or for something SJWs don't like? You are going to be banned. If you are a high profile conservative in the public eye? You are going to be banned. Of the 2/3rds to be banned, at least half will be collateral damage; people that are innocent but were caught in the ban.
Select liberals and SJW icons (Anita, Zoe, Wu, along with other celebrities and liberal politicians) will be spared. Trump? Banned. Anne Coulter? Banned. Anyone who ever worked at Fox News? Banned. High profile conservative politicians, currently in office or even out of office? Banned.
Twitters Day of the Rope is going to be part of the "Day of the Rope" initiative social media are planning to role out after the election. If Trump gets elected, the purge will be done that night at midnight, effectively one obscenely petty shit fit Twitter will do to "punish" America for electing Trump.
If Hillary does get elected? It's going to be done but not right away; at the latest, it will go into effect by the end of December/early 2017, just in time to "protect" Hillary's actual corroboration come Inauguration Day. With Hillary promoting it in advance during the lull period between her winning and being sworn in, as something that "needs to be done to silence all of the hatred going on online".....
Twitter doesn't really care if this kills the company, due to backroom deals being made with Hollywood studios and the DNC, who will basically pay for their stars/politicians-activists being able to use Twitter for pure PR purposes, with no rules or restrictions on them to spew whatever it is they want.
Twitter executives are now in full-on cult mode and see punishing Trump and conservatives to be second only to pushing the SJW message these days. Twitter not making money doesn't matter; just preaching the gospel and silencing conservatives from having a voice online. Money from the DNC and Twitter have been changing hand, along with Hollywood movie studios, to give actors free reign to say shit like Leslie Jones did, as Twitter goes full propaganda machine business mode

Facebook is in on it too, though they are letting Twitter go forth first, so that if there is any backlash, they can "modify" their own Day of the Rope plans to avoid backlash. Facebook's own Day of the Rope purge won't be TOO severe; as they have a far less severe "social media hit list" written out, so they can mainly focus on silencing the big names and those who are particularly infamous thorns on their sides.
But in the end, we are facing an end of days scenario for free speech online. Twitter and Facebook intend to silence Trump and his supporters, and all conservatives online as part of their "right side of history" rhetoric.
