>its pretty much a ripoff archer
People keep saying that but it wasn't anything like Archer besides having a dickhead protag.

...

i know
its so much better

reminds me of Miami vice

Comedy Central cancels most of their shows after 1 season.
I liked it too, but can't say I'm surprised

eeeehh....

...

did they ever show her without glasses and with hair down?

>no more pizzaz tits

i actually had to rewatch that episode because it was unreal how big her tits was.

it's not fair.

comedy central keeps hurting me

Let's try glasses off, hair up.
Alright, now glasses on, hair down.

I don't get this Archer meme.

It's worse than saying Arched ripped of Frisky.

If it aint South Park no adult cartoon is lasting more then 1 season on CC

I still hate they canceled Ugly Americans

Great style wasted on baffling VA choices and juvenile humor

I liked it.

It at least deserved a second season.

the only thing it had going for it was the Nagel artstyle and overall 80's theme, but aside from that, it was wasted on a generic comedy.

wouldve killed to see the whole nagel 90's cops thing played at least somewhat straight

I'm still about 75% certain the only reason they got Rob Lowe was because he was fresh off of Parks and Recreation and they were the first ones to call him about a role.

>ripoff archer

It felt a lot more like Metalocalypse to me.

Of course, the pilot having an "unnecessarily detailed backstory for a disguise" joke pretty much invited the comparison.

I love that she could do that anywhere, regardless of the angle of the sun or presence of blinds.

The score was really fucking good.

>although its pretty much a ripoff archer

How did you not feel shame typing this out?

It was shit. Worse than American Dad's first three seasons.

...

I liked the artstyle but it kinda had nothing else to it

but maybe it could have been given more time to develop into something

Sub-par writing killed this show.

It got cancelled? Unfortunate. The place where I get my hair cut has a window decal in that 80s style. I guess from now on it will mock me and serve as a painful reminder.

>baffling VA choices
As far as?

The Strike Visualizer episode was the best example of what the show could have been - actual crime to investigate, colourful one-off villain with a weird MO and the team actually being forced to work together to crack the case. Instead they wasted too many episodes on "wacky" plots with Dazzle and random characters while the others got relegated to boring or pointless B stories.

People say it was an Archer rip-off but maybe it should have taken more lessons from Archer and built up it's main cast. As it stands it's just one more one-season Titmouse show with no good porn.

What are some non-parody media that uses this art style? I love this shit.

Moonbeam City is leagues better than Archer. Especially when it comes to art style, music and animation.

>People say it was an Archer rip-off but maybe it should have taken more lessons from Archer
>they wasted too many episodes on "wacky" plots
The niche Archer fills is already taken, it would have fizzled out just as quickly if it drew more parallels from Archer, no matter how good the execution it would've just been written off as derivative. They HAD to try and carve out their own space in that subgenre through more physical comedy.

It just would've never worked.

Pizzass oh... the PERFECT waifu indeed.

The Archer comparison is incredibly apt as the joke is basically the same. Both shows centre on a licentious operative performing a dangerous violent job who continuously fucks up because he doesn’t take his job seriously and has to be bailed out by his female cohort. There are nuances of course, Archer was perfectly competent when he actually cared (and often when he didn’t), generally gave at least a passing amount of attention to the task at hand, and was the son of the spy agencies owner, meaning he had nepotism to explain why he didn’t get sacked. Dazzle was just out-and-out incompetent, would abandon his task completely if a butterfly passed, and had no believable explanation for him still being on the force, which made him far more annoying and the show frustratingly stupid.

>anyone miss this show
Yes I do. Did it have flaws? Yes. But I still thought it was an awesome show and I would have loved to see what an improved second season would bring. I would also love to see it revived. Like revived in any way. A comic would suffice.

Comedy Central actually had South Park be the lead-in for Moonbeam City, I guess because they thought it would help the show viewership and ratings-wise, thought I'm not sure if that helped the show that much. My college roommate at the time would watch new episodes of South Park each Wednesday night and then would either turn off the TV or change the channel after South Park ended and Moonbeam City began.

Are we ever going to get a DVD and Blu-Ray?

They should have just made this Tango and Cash: The Movie: The Animated Series.

Post your Pizzaz pics and GIFS.

Oops wrong pic.

I didn't watch this show cause I heard it didn't live up to it's artstyle, but what's this I hear about Pizzaz having huge tits?

>and had no believable explanation for him still being on the force

Because Dazzle was the #1 Cop on the force. That's why he had the #1 Cop coffee mug. Everyone else (presumably) has a lower number coffee mug, which seems to indicate that most of the cops on the force are actually worse than Dazzle.

Dazzle and Pizzaz also had a thing going on and Pizzaz showed some feelings of affection towards him. So that may also be a reason why he was kept on the force and not fired.

Hell, it implied that Pizzazz has aborted more then one baby from Dazzle.

...

>tfw Pizzaz will never wake your snake

Its an animated workplace comedy about inept, but somehow successful gun toting government enforcers.

it was a great show that i got them all webrip

Moonbeam city is better than Archer Vice.

Where'd you find that user?

on the net good sir, most came from kickass and others random site that had one or two eps

>tfw there's no clips of Dazzle fucking Pizzaz's brains out

It had potential to be something interesting, but the writing staff sucked and it got axed before we could see what it could've been.

Any gifs of all Pizzaz's sisters throwing shade.

Oh shit I was listening to the theme for the past several hours before seeing this thread

Also if all of the episodes were like episode 3 it probably wouldn't have been canceled, it needed a more consistent theme and they didn't always stick with the actual policework and crime part of the show and screwed around too much

Yet they gave the even worse show known as Brickleberry 3 awful seasons

The difference is that Moonbeam City goes for absurdist humour while Archer goes almost exclusively for wordplay and innuendo.

cancelled?!

...

None of the VAs were really great VAs.
I mean they were okay, for actual Actors atleast but the only one I felt really brought an irreplaceable character was Rad. Everyone else could've probably been better performed by Veteran VAs who were MUCH cheaper. The VAs they had neither had the talent or the star power to make sense to cast. And that's not getting into the guest VAs every other episode. Like Molly Shannon as the Prison AI and Susan Saradon as the Evil Warden.
It's been like a year, how could you not know?
Yeah everybody saw prettyboy douchebag action genre with a stiff quasi-realistic style and decided it was Archer, when really it was Metalacolypse:Neo-80s edition

Since like January, where the fuck have you been?

But I knew it would be canceled from episode 2 anyway, I was just wondering if it would get a second season before getting axed or not

>a year

Half a year is not a year

>aborted

Fug

Except that's wrong

Pizzaz takes the sternness of Lana but becomes a funny man when she needs to be whereas Lana was pretty much always the pissed off stick in the mud

Crystal is pretty much always the straight man, but her Cyril-like personality ensures that she doesn't come off as overbearing (and Cyril ended up being the funny man at points in Archer whereas Crystal never was)

It was a different dynamic

Also you had Rad as a rival/fellow moron whereas in Archer his rivals are villains and only show up once in a while

The show's primary weakness was that most of the crimes were stupid and the show didn't focus heavily enough on them. Sometimes like in the first episode Dazzle wasn't even trying to solve them and won only by accident. If all the episodes were more like number 3 the show wouldn't have been canceled.

Your roommate was a fag

And a better strategy would have been to have Moonbeam be the lead in for South Park so some people would end up watching it while waiting for South Park

Fucking incompetent fucktards running CC

Would have succeeded if it was more serious. Dunno what they were thinking having Rad constantly shit and piss his pants.

Ultimate style over substance show.

Engage the dolphin penis

Rad was cute. 10/10 would watch again.

You've actually inadvertently hit on the main difference in the shows: Archer is set is a somewhat over-the-top and comedic version of the real world, whereas Moonbeam City was set in a parody of Miami where people mine for lasers, firefighters are celebrities, cops have a big convention and abandon their cities for a weekend to attend it, and AI-operated prisons can fall in love with bishounen.

>the episode where Rad gets a VR family
>Dazzle ruins it for him

Animators should just do porn
