DUNKIRK: Warner Bros Executives Standing Ovation

There was a exhibitor/trade screening on Monday night and there was a private tweet with the following reaction:

>The source loved and said it's the most intense film he has ever seen.

>It's a very stressful film.

>The cinematography was gorgeous and Zimmer's soundtrack was intense.

>One of the executives said that it's "one of the best films WB has ever produced".

>Something huge not shown in marketing occurs.

>The film received a standing ovation.

We heard you the first 1000 times.

ok shill

BRAVO NOLAN

Will IMAX theaters play it in 70mm or is that exclusive to analog theaters?

> One of the executives said that it's "one of the best films WB has ever produced".
Holy shit, even executives of this movie praise it, it's gonna be masterpiece!

by god he did it again

BRAVO NOLAN I LOVE YOU

> >Something huge not shown in marketing occurs.
Any ideas, nolanbros?

> germans are actually aliens from past

>>The cinematography was gorgeous and Zimmer's soundtrack was intense.
Hans Zimmer ist the ultimate pleb composer.
>inb4 normies get triggered because of the plebby

>Germans mad that their "Victory" is being re-written.

Feels good to be the winners. We get to make up any shit we want.

Cringe

Really. So much for this movie.

>if you let your enemies escape they win

>when executives realize you've made something safe enough to win oscars but still make money

From one of the mods with credibility at BoxOfficeTheory who has seen Dunkirk

DUNKINO

the thin red line was also that rating yet is absolute kino

Is straight white male kino making a comeback?

>nothing happens
>gets rated G

>straight
Wait for it.

Shut the fuck up you idiot.

>the thin red line was also that rating

You live in Europe I bet

nah australia in which it's just rated 'm' for mature which means pretty much anyone over the age of 10 can watch it if they want

USA:
>Rated R

France
>Rated G

wait did they seriously rate that movie r in the states

a war movie doesn't have to be excessively gory to be good you moron

Answer me you stupid fucking Redditing niggers

Fucking SAGE

Yes, it does

gOOD THING nOLAN HAS SAID THIS IS NOT A WAR FILM THEN.

THIS IS A THRILLER AND NOT A WAR FILM

nah but the gore kinda makes the warfilm intense plus if it has fucked up shit like kids getting killed or civilians and so on. It will stay with you some days. Kinda like herpes.

Dubs of truth.

i prefer it because it makes the movies more viceral and horrifying but i'm pretty cool with some of them not focusing too much on blood and guts for the sake of shock value

>something huge not shown in marketing
they show hitler giving the stand down order allowing them to escape?
why would (((they))) allow this

> Thriller
> PG

Love this meme

>i've never seen someone flee so bravery long live our lads !

the eternal brit rewriting history

Well if a WB exec said so

>Warner executive saw the movie
>Said he hated it
>Anyway, look forward to Dunkirk coming this summer

>sit on the island
>do nothing
>OY VEY WE WON THE WAR
The fucking French did more to win the war than those cunts

This is what the uneducated actually believe. Not British btw. Where are you from?

Well what did they do then? Before the flipping Normandy

>americans run away in pacific
>run away in vietnam
>f-fuck yeah USA!
>56% white

>>americans run away in pacific

Pardon me?

So you're French. Absolutely pitiful.

>nolanbros
You've come to the wrong board plebbit

>the french fighting won't even be mentioned

Typical anglo washing

Also the Enigma Code, Battle of the Atlantic, North Africa, Middle East, Aerial Bombardment, Asia etc.

>american knowledge of history
wew! Do you still think you were the ones who broke the enigma code too?

Lol Christopher Nolan is such a god damned hack. He's lucky the majority of the species is fucking retarded and can't see his """films""" for the flicks they are.

they showed French troops in the trailers

You missed the part where the anglos bombed Berlin, Hitler retaliated by couple thousand in London over several months, then the English retaliated (alongside the Americans) by firebombing defenseless cities with upwards of half a million souls in one city alone, with more people dying one one night than over the course of the entire blitz.

>whole board circles around meme from Nolan movie
> w-we don't like Nolan, h-honestly...
Pathetic

>Director who's known to be severely overrated and who's latest pieces of utter shite all got good reviews somehow has received a standation ovation from the production company of his latest film after screening them his latest film
woah guys, i think this might be the one

I'm not American, genuinely curious

Have you been here a week or something? This board shits on Nolan regularly

name one (ONE) good film Nolan's made this decade
>protip: you can't

Fuck off tourist.

You realise baneposting only exists because of how utterly retarded the plane scene is, right?

Following

>reddit trying to tell us what we think about le bravo man
pathetic

let me guess it's idris elba or oma sy

Can't wait till mass audience will critisize Dunkirk and /tv start sucking Nolan's cock and call it kino

>Nolan fanboy can't read
I'd love to say I was surprised...
>"b-but I FEEL smart when I watch Nolan films!"

It's gonna be another "mediocre flick receives critical acclaim and makes tons of money" episode, isn't it?

Okinawa, they got beaten badly and decided to leave and just nuke japan

Not only it's not from this decade, it's also Nolans worst movie by far. Even TDKR is better.

>10 threads praising Baby Driver
> haha reddit will never understand our rebelious spirit
lol

You gotta be a special kind of retard to enjoy Nolan flicks lmao. Whats even more hilarious are the guys who have serious discussions about the ""meaning"" behind his ""films"".

David Lynch is less of a fraud than Christo.

>Ovation
fucking hell americlaps...

same reaction the execs had with BvS. runawaykino comfirmed.

>implying anyone not from reddit has seen that film yet
>implying those threads aren't fucking tourists circlejerking
you have to go back

Nope its gonna be another >"glib facsimile-spouting faggot is lauded as an auteur for a skin-deep shit-show that makes dumb people feel smart."

Reddit has been here for a long time user

lmoa

No it's this guy

so has aids, doesn't mean we should stop trying to get rid of it and denouncing it

It's a minority. You can tell when a redditor posts

>90% of the catalog has been capeshit for the past 2 years
>it's a minority

I can't argue with that

It is to make things horrible that is the point with blood n guts, not the meme shockvalue stuff that is for the horror flicks.

You don't need actual gore to show it though
> Come and See

Come and See is overrated shit.

I am from reddit. What can you possibly do to make me leave?

No, it's not

>Battle of the Atlantic, North Africa, Middle East, Aerial Bombardment, Asia
WOOOOW That totally changed the course of war. Truly a nation of heroes. I'll give them the Enigma code, but it's just some faggot in a lab, not really a national achievement. Even Americans did more, at least they defeated the Japs.

>exhibitor/trade screening
Literal shilling

Yes I'm sure it was a great boost to German morale

>shortest Christopher Nolan movie

what did he mean by this?

Most likely analog theaters that still project in 35mm and 70mm.
There's some IMAX theaters around that do, but the majority of them that you see popping up with multiplexes like AMC aren't true IMAX format.
They're just glorified IMAX digital projection. But, even then it's still a step up from just basic basic digital projection at your average theater these days.

a lot of peoples worked on that enigma code polish spies and scientists, french, brits ...

>can't have plot holes if they audience can't spot them

...

> Following - 69 mins
How is that?

Yes, it is.
>see this movie hyped like hell a bunch of times on 4chen
>finally watch it
>so underwhelmed I spent a few minutes on google to make sure there wasn't another movie with the same title and I got the wrong one

>Dunkirk
>Dunkek
>Duncuck
BRAVO NOLAN

>Duncuck
>Hung cuck
>Hang cucks
BRAVO REIMI

Saw it, all I can really say is that Aiden Gillen has a surprise cameo near the end.

You forgot DUNKINO
