I am liking the art direction a lot.

At least Webby doesn't look like one of the boys crossdressing.

Somehow, that will result in less porn.

but scrooge mcduck is dead

Acceptable

Like she had much porn before

They find another one

I wonder who the voice cast is going to be, we know Tony Anselmo will return as Donald. But the others are unknown.

I like that Disney is finally using Mickey Mouse & friends for stuff that's not targeted at literal babies again.

>Donald with a black sailor shirt
fucking cool

Why is Donald wearing black?

Looks a lot like the style used in the newer mickey mouse shorts.

Because he's in the U.S. Navy

Always did in the comics.

Probably because Scoorge is wearing a dark blue.

This is going to have really snappy animation. I can just tell.
I'm not too big on that; I like it in the Mickey shorts, but I'd rather have something a bit smoother for DuckTales.
Quack Pack nods when?

I wanna _hug webby

Where's Launchpad and Gizmoduck?

And will there be a Darkwing duck episode?

Oh look, sonebody doesn't read Donald Duck comics. Shame on you.

He's worn black throughout most of the comics. Which is why I think it's cool. A bit of hype, you know.

Comics you say

The Life and Times of Scoorge McDuck adaption when?

At least they already made a soundtrack.

youtube.com/watch?v=EG88BtmJ6dY

Never. I always hoped Don Rosa directing it.

I like how triplets look.

Holy shit! Is Donald back in the Military!?

animationmagazine.net/tv/disney-xd-reveals-ducktales-creative-team-teaser-art/

Navy.

Donald was always in the Navy.

There's even real world paperwork for it that a college animation professor had to sign out with straight up offices of intelligence to procure copies of.

They took that shit seriously.

They already replaced his VA for this show before he died. They replaced everyone.

I saw this image on Twitter and I thought for sure I'd come here to find you guys bitching about calarts. Happy to be wrong.

Scrooge is wearing red in this show.

The girl doesn't look cute anymore

looks awesome. I wonder how they're gonna treat the "swimming in piles of gold coins" gig.

Launchpad is in it. No word on Gizmoduck yet.

Let's hope it doesn't screw up like CN's reboots.

Are they giving the boys distinct personalities? And different hair styles?

Those madmen

Quack Pack already did it.

>sending it to die on XD
Gotta get those precious subscriptions up, don't we Disney?

I was going to ask where Scrooge was.
Yeah.

Darkwing episode? I've got my hopes pinned on a Darkwing revival.

They do the guest spot as a stealth pilot.

Then they slowly rebuild the Disney Afternooniverse.

you guys do know there's more to disney comics than rosa

fethry when

Post your reaction if Gladstone shows up.

Who the fuck is the duck girl

Can we have have Donald Duck reach Scrooge levels of anger and badassery?

'kay

Donald Duck was originally a US Navy recruitment initiative.

Nice. I hope they got good replacement actors.

That was always sort of his thing, they just don't mention it too much.

>mfw pic related

Scrub

Well the whole glamor of any military branch kinda lost popularity in the 60s-80s so I guess they basically decided to put Donald on eternal shore leave to avoid the topic. Either that or he's awol and just liked the uniform.

Don't think he was awol since he did return to the navy during duck tales

Maybe it's the color palette they used for that image, but damned if something about that doesn't remind me of Gravity Falls... Scrooge as Grunkle Stan? Grunkle Scrooge?

So Donald's going to be on the regular cast too?

IIRC It's the same art director, and some of the staff of Gravity Falls is working on Ducktales.

I LOVE IT! I CAN'T WAIT!

dude

I'm for more acknowledgement of Euro ducks but what kind of name is Fethry?

Thank Zod it's 2D

art director worked in gravity falls

I'd love, more than thing, for a Darkwing revival to use the overblown "black shading" style that 90s comics had, similar to the animated adaption of The Maxx. Except subtle enough not to interfere with the comedic look of the characters.

>We’ve got our eyes on San Diego, California, this week as we eagerly await the start to Comic-Con International: San Diego 2016. But this morning, our hearts and minds are firmly rooted in Duckburg! Feast your eyes on this quackingly awesome new teaser art from Disney Television Animation’s upcoming DuckTales series.

>Scrooge McDuck, grandnephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie, and Donald Duck will, of course, star in the new series, which will be executive-produced by Annie Award nominee Matt Youngberg (Ben 10: Omniverse). Rounding out the creative team are story editor and co-producer Francisco Angones (Disney XD’s Emmy®-nominated Wander Over Yonder) and art director Sean Jimenez (Disney XD’s Annie Award-winning Gravity Falls).

>The image was created by the production’s art team, led by Youngberg and Jimenez, and will appear on the back of DuckTales Cinestory Volume 1 comic—a collectible edition featuring a retelling of the first five episodes of the original DuckTales television show. The comic is being released first at Comic-Con today, July 20, and it becomes available in comic book stores nationwide beginning Tuesday, September 27.

>DuckTales is set to debut on Disney XD in 2017. We’re hoping the time passes in a duck-blur. Woo-oo, indeed

Hey, DIsney's got this shit

probably gonna be animated at Mercury Filmworks or a studio who animates similarly (like boulder media, who did season 2 of wander)

So that's why it looked familiar

But they already have the shorts which Sup Forums adores.

and just like the many dogs you've probably had throughout your life he has been replaced.

Can't wait to jerk off to the new opening theme.

Even if there's a continuity with QP, wouldn't this be set before it?

Fuck you for reminding me

I have been anticipating this since it was a wee rumor.

If it doesn't have a woohoo I'm going to be pissed

Why the fuck are they doing this? It's literally fucking CalArts style.

How so?

No it's not

BUT WILL IT TELL SCROOGE'S ORIGIN STORY?

I, for one, dont like the way nephews look.
They are trying to make then unique and different from each other so idiots could tell them apart.
Even though they already have color coded clothes.

there it is, i was wondering why this statement was taking so long to be posted

>Giving characters unique traits so they aren't just recolors is a bad thing.

Looks like art for the new Mickey mouse cartoons that come up on YouTube
Which is a good thing

Is there a higher res version of this?

You do realize the color coding has never been consistent right?

The usual pattern tend to be:
Huey-Red
Dewey- Blue(in cartoons, he tends to be green most of the time in the comics)
Louie- Green(in cartoons, he tends to be blue most of the time in the comics)

Even then they will often switch who is what color.

Nobody gives a shit because they are usually not even different character, they are one character divided in three(was certainly the case in old Ducktales too).

Quack Pack at least tried to characterize each of them(and also differentiated them enough in looks that you couldn't mistake one for another).

Looks awful honestly. I can't believe most of the responses are positive. I can just see it being full of Be Cool Scooby Doo and Nu-PPG gags.

Looks awesome. I love Ducktales, its one of my favorite cartoons, and got me into liking archaeology.

I like how Wendy is different, looks a lot more girlish. I hope the boys' personalities are like a younger version of the Quck-Pack selves.

Huey- red is the leader one and a slacker.
Dewey- blue- is the smart one and likes tech things.
Louie- green- is a sports guy and likes comix.

I like the way this image implies that each of his relatives embody an aspect of Scrooge — knowledgeable, adventurous, greedy, fun-loving and cynical (or something to that effect).

>DuckTales Cinestory Volume 1 comic—a collectible edition featuring a retelling of the first five episodes of the original DuckTales television show

Neat. Thank goodness they'll actually be selling it in stores and it's not an event-exclusive thing.

>CAL ARTS CAL ARTS CAL ARTS CAL ARTS
Would you just fuck off already?

>WoY staff as co-producer

Why does this make me happy and sad at the same time?

IT LOOKS FUCKING TERRIBLE
Jesus Christ they just want to ruin everything.

Be cool may look bad at first glance but the style fits the tone and the show is a great lighter side counter point to the dark epic of mystery inc

Think the episodes will be 30 mins or 15 mins

original looks way better.

The Mickey Mouse cartoon is good.

Pretty sure it's going to be 30 minutes since it's a script-driven show.
Usually board-driven shows are the ones that are on the 15 minute side.

>adding a girl sibling to the trio

ABANDON SHIP. ALREADY PANDERING TO THE SJW TUMBLRITES. FUCK EVERYTHING.

Scroog is probably going to donate half his fortune to #BlackDucksMatter

weeby was part of the original duck tales. it won't be duck tales without her and her time traveling stuff

And the show was shit. The new looks like they learned from this.

>He didn't watch the original

fucking kill yourself.

a) Nostalgia bait with no soul
or
b) modern we use facebook and memes crap

Choose your poison.
