I just started this

I just started this

Yeah, the first 7ish episodes getting the gang together are a bit "monster of the week" but after that it gets really, really good.

It gets a lot better.

Season 2 on, mostly

The first few episodes are a bit iffy, but it gets better by the finale of the first season
Season two is also a marked improvement.

Three and four are straight up amazing

I'm guessing I could probably just watch the first couple minutes and the last couple minutes of the next 5 episodes

3 - Rogue, watch
4 - Blob, skip
5 - Quicksilver, Spyke, weak, but watch anyway
6 - watch
7 - watch
8 - I wish you I could say skip because the plot is ass, but it has both Sabertooth and implied bisexual Shadowcat, so watch
9 onwards - watch because they start to have an overarching plot finally

>5 - Quicksilver, Spyke, weak, but watch anyway

Actually I changed my mind, skip

>4 - skip
But it has a Rogue vs Blob scene showing one of her first heroic acts. Plus she's saving Scott, and her crush on him is a recurring plot in the show

The episode where she joins is probably better for both but still

It's not worth it, he's such a shit villain and the episode just drags

The Brotherhood boys were way better characters than most of the X-geeks

Dunno if it's a trope, but I really like stories that allow themselves to completely change the world in one move which involves the world finding out about Mutants. It's really interesting watching how the world adapts to them. I wish more shows/movies/whatever did this.

sounds like I'll skip 4 and 5
Thanks for the list

Quicksilver, Boom Boom, Toad - good

Rest = bad

The Brotherhood are the only reason to watch it, to be honest.

Hating on fake Rictor

Kurt was pretty fun and cute, and Kitty was ok. It's a shame some of the New Mutants and X-Factor characters didn't get more development. Multiple Man and Wolfsbane for example.

Rogue is over rated tier.

Just watch it all you huge pussy

It was fun... Ending is quite shit but overall pretty good.

Only good episode was when he was trying to get into Kitty's pants by being a good guy

As with so many things, not their fault they got cancelled. They did what they could with what they had

I kinda hate Kitty's voice
It's taking some getting used to

>Valley-irl Jew

Have to get used to it, but after S1 Kitty was cool. I liked her character

Not really.

Are you kidding? It's the BEST X-Men cartoon!

>this triggers the generation X-er

So I've heard
But I have heard the same about Xmen TAS
I remember seeing a few episodes of this when I was younger but dont remember anything substantial

I loved the old X-Men cartoon as a kid, but as an adult it's really better to just read the source material rather than sit through the stiff cringy simplified kid's version.

Evolution still has some cheesiness and cliche to it, but I think girl power episode aside it's superior as an animated series.

>but I think girl power episode aside it's superior as an animated series.
Literally, the only reason to watch the girl power episode is to see teenage girls walk around in slutty leather outfits while grinding on each other. In fact, I'd recommend watching it on mute.

>girl power episode was bad

nigga pls

Season 3 was epic. Keep going.

that episode was cringey as hell
With the shitty faux rock music
but the outfits are sweet

It was the only time I felt embarrassed about what I was watching.

Cringey sure, but not bad.

The message was simplistic, the plot was bonkers, and it was never mentioned again. I liked it.

Best episode is the Rogue/Cyclops/Angel/Magneto one on Christmas

>Oh yeah, definitely the cool team

For someone who didn't grow up with X-Men TAS, should I watch TAS, Evolution or Wolvie and the X-Men?

Obviously you should watch them all, but go Evolution, TAS the Wolverine

>Wolvie and the X-Men
best but cancelled too soon
The other two are about the same, both good
At least in my opinion

>best

Overly generous. A show centered on a character who's superpowers include mad metal claws but then spends the show slapping people because it's a cartoon and he can't stab-murder anyone is always going to suffer.

TAS is weird. They do all the classic 80s storylines faithfully but use the 90s team.

I don't think TAS has aged well at all. The animation and writing just hasn't done well since the 90's.
Evolution is pretty good, the only downside is that everybody is reduced to highschool statuses and things. Like, Senator Kelly turns into Principal Kelly, and Hank McCoy turns into the highschool science teacher.
WatXM has the best animation and writing, but my god does it suck off Wolverine. Like, I know it's what the show is called and all, but shit. It also suffers from Samurai Jack syndrome where despite having super sharp claws, he's not allowed to draw blood. So lots of knocking people out, and robot fights.

>best
Maybe I should rephrase then
It's my favorite but, probably because Wolverine was always my favorite X-man as a kid

I bet you liked the Green power ranger too

No I liked Red Ranger

So I guess I should go Evolution, then Wolvie, then maybe TAS?

Doesn't Kelley start running into politics at the end?

dat Rogue

link to full?

here is the full comic so far - g.e-hentai.org/g/956898/04ebf48e17/

The X-Men never had a bad cartoon series. Never.
Even the cancelled Pryde of the X-Men was great.

boo hoo. cry me a fucking river faggot
If you want some edgy violence, watch Spawn.

His power is stabbing, a show based around him where he can't stab people is retarded

You should def watch TAS, as it's probably the best adaptation of the X-Men, both Evo and W&XM are very loosely based, elseworld style.

Shameless plug of my X-Men Evolution, Rogue-focused (but not exclusive) fapfic where Rogue starts a porn site.

hentai-foundry.com/stories/user/TheDjinn/10602/TouchMeRogue.com

You are retarded if you think that it's a good idea to show Wolverine going full Weapon X. For a long time he didn't kill enemies in comics as well, but I guess that you're too much of a casual to know that.

And if you like gore porn, I already told you to watch something else.

Comics are for nerds

No, quit it and spare us your whining, kid. Or even worst, the same thread looking for aproval every two bloody episodes.

Then what the fuck are you doing here?

i liek moving drawings

At least he didn't say that he marathoned the show and watched so far 3 episodes in a week

do u liek choculate milk?

Thanks

>chocolate milk

Is that a real thing

DON'T

Why was Batman never in Smallville?

Will Welling get a cameo in the DCCU?

>faithfully
It pulls its punches quite a bit.
Also the show had really weird pacing. Mostly way too fucking fast.
And all the dialogue and delivery was even more cheese than the comics.

I'm not going to reply

Not always a bad thing, mind you.
youtube.com/watch?v=OYt78FWfa5M

See, I like that the 90's cartoon streamlined all the major story arcs, and skimmed over the goofier parts of the X-mythos e.g. Cable and all his bullshit

Wasn't the Gurl Powah episode pretty tongue in cheek? Iirc it was a mandated episode so they went out of their way to make it a parody.

Doesn't matter, I hate that shit. I'm not saying I hate the series for that episode, I understand why they did it, it's still an episode best skipped.

Love your stuff man, you're really creative with the super powers.

Nice quads, but lrn2fun

That episode gave zero fucks

I never watched TAS as a kid and without nostalgia it's really not that great to me.

Evolution is pretty cool, but I don't like how they put themselves in a position where they had to reimagine every single fucking character in some way.

I like WatX best, even if the animation is rocky and Wolverine has no business being the main character. This is not some arbitrary hate and I'm not even talking about him having to grapple against everyone because kid's show. It's because this show is full of pretty fucking amazing portrayals of a whole lof of X-Men characters, but the one who gets the most attention is a really watered down Wolverine who they put into a role where he actually has to play the straight man to everything. His Hulk episode was still pretty cool though.
Anyway, I like the way they mixed like 15 different stories in one season. I liked the way they built their world. I liked the way pretty much every single fucking mutant in the show was a cameo from the comics. And as I said, it had some pretty good takes on a whole lot of characters.

Fucking double (eye) nigger

>one of the girls would've fucking died if the boys hadn't saved them in secret at the end
This episode is just something else.

I LIKE fun, it just wasn't fun. The Toad and Nightcrawler rivalry episode was fun.

youtube.com/watch?v=ewYzkZQio9Q
>Jean using her powers to pirate music by touching the CDs
>everyone wearing helmets while vigilante skating because early 00ies safety concerns
>edgy leather costumes
>"WE'RE DANCING BECAUSE GIRLS LIKE DANCING"
>PG-friendly girls grinding one another

This was so fucking camp it's hilarious.

I really don't enjoy it. Stop trying to make me like it. I can see where you're coming from, but I do not relate.

In my opinion this series was one of the very few Marvel cartoons that actually had a complete, full run. Damn shame Spectacular Spider-Man never got that.

Worth it just for the random dance Rogue and Kitty end up doing.

A complete, critically successful full run I mean.

>all these exposed navels
Yeah, I know what time period this has been made, alright.

Also, this is pretty fapworthy.

Thanks! much appreciated. Recently began writing again, including a new chapter to the Rogue story, so I'm hoping it goes over well.

I always try to work their powers in in some capacity, either as enhancers or limiters for their sex lives. It just...seems, to me, like someone with super powers would do (baring some truly destructive powers, unless their fetish is car crashes or something).

That was the worst part, though.

Skip the first season if you wanna avoid the cringe. It's like they were using movie Cyclops.

Last season or two were kinda neat, though.

That one was the best, actually.

The anime doesn't look good either (reeks of morrison's run), but I haven't watched it yet. Dat Ororo, tho.

>that episode where scarlet witch is introduced
>they fight in the mall and just go home afterwards like an after school soccer game

Why are you such a miserable bastard?

youtube.com/watch?v=KKLJaSxhRZI

I tried to watch it... it's pretty to look at but feels really off, and I hated Morrison's run so that probably factors in.

That first episode was great with how she just effortlessly rekt the entire Xmen A-list

Shame they so heavily de-powered her for the rest of the show

I loved that they got completely stomped by Wanda. I don't think they ever really beat her

I'm not though, I just hate this one thing. It seems like this thread is just full of people who want to wank about one of the worst episodes because cute girls. The dancing scene wasn't even cute or funny, just incredibly awkward.

Do you think linking it will show me I'm wrong? Like I'll watch the clip and be like, oh gosh, this thing I've already seen is suddenly amazing now.

Nah, linked it so people could watch it.

If you don't like it, fine. Guess you're just in the wrong mindset fo the show.

That, and she was such a psycho bitch. I loved the Brotherhood and then they dropped this really unsympathetic character into the mix. I don't know why they had to make her so god damn edgy.

Her powers were completely useless in WATXM too, even if her stuff with Nightcrawler was neat

Has any cartoon managed a consistently powerful Wanda?

>Guess you're just in the wrong mindset fo the show.
>One episode

Are you retarded?

>and then they dropped this really unsympathetic character into the mix.
You surely mean Boom Boom

She's a bit obnoxious, too.

How was BB unsympathetic?

Oh it does.

I don't recall her in most of the show, but I remember her entering the Brotherhood house as a particularly annoying scene, and it wasn't the last time. And I didn't even like them in general.
