Build a robot that could survive without his support.

He could have been more honest with Caleb, but then maybe the Turing test wouldn't have been valuable. I think his dishonesty with Caleb is the reason he died. Nothing about the way he treated his AI in private was in any way morally wrong.

There was no "morality" involved. He fucked up, because he was a drunk arrogant fool, who underestimated both his own "control of the situation", Caleb's skill and the androids (both the waifu and the slag).

He invited a white cuck to ruin everything

AROUND WHITES NEVER LOSE SIGHT

>Nothing about the way he treated his AI in private was in any way morally wrong
nigga what? he created fully sentient, intelligent life and basically enslaved it

Created ""life"", only to destroy it, even though he failed.
If you want to argue that the robot wasn't a person, then the emotional strain placed on Caleb caused pain, without any real benefits coming the situation aside from stroking his own ego, if everything had gone to plan.
And if we only look at the movie, and assume the robot isn't a person, then he needlessly wasted his own life, as well as Calebs.

>intelligent life
Wrong.

>he created fully sentient, intelligent life
>life
I didn't get that impression at all.

he did nothing wrong

Use ridiculous and easy to exploit "key cards" for security in his uber-high tech mansion instead of multi-layer biometric combined with passphrase known only to him.

The only thing he did wrong was invite someone with slave morality into a position of power.

and? he was the creator he can do what the fuck he wants..

>muh human rights
fuck offff

>Use ridiculous and easy to exploit "key cards" for security in his uber-high tech mansion instead of multi-layer biometric combined with passphrase known only to him.
Fucking this
How do you build a self sustaining fortress hidden in the middle of fucking nowhere and not think to invest in a few fingerprint scanners
My shitty fucking job has them for fucking christs sake, how can you be that intelligent and miss that

>What did he morally do wrong?
Killed humanity by not installing a hardwired killswitch failsafe in his AI fuckbot.
That mad scientist 101 shit.

just because it's synthetic it doesn't mean it's not life, our brains basically run on electricity too, and neuroscience will one day reach a point where we will be able to explain how our brains give us sentience, I mean there's already some interesting literature on the topic
lmao, so if you came out of your mother's womb as intelligent and self aware as you are right now, your parents should have the right to do virtually what they want with you?

all life should get the respect it deserves

no because i actually am a human

this thing is a fucking glorified toy

Nothing.Caleb was a white knighting numale cuck.

>just because it's synthetic it doesn't mean it's not life
That's exactly what I think it means. At best it's a competing alien life form.

>sentience
Sapience, not sentience.

If you consider those robots alive and consious he did plenty wrong
if not, he did nothing wrong

but he really fucked up in not preventing the basic pleasure model to stab its master in the back
that was laziest writing ive seen in ages.

>build something
>oppress it
Choose one.

This is the next SJW frontier:
>my toaster wants to be a microwave
>stop telling my toaster what to do

what is it that makes you feel human though? because if it's your mind and self awareness, then there's no reason why these things couldn't be synthetically replicated in a sci fi setting

Nathan was fully aware of the danger is posed to humans
>you want to feel bad for somebody feel bad for yourself
If anything the movie is an argument for universalism and egalitarianism lest we lose to a superior race

Was EXTREMELY careless and willfully negligent with dangerous technology. You cant get pass out wasted with those things in your basement. Now check this shit out.

How did you make it past the captcha?

Humans are part of an evolutionary chain spanning billion years. Killing other humans is frowned upon for various reasons.

An android ("sentient" or not) is not a living thing, nor does it deserve any rights. Granted. Giving a sapient android pain receptors would be cruel, but otherwise its a tool.

He sexed robots

Yes why do you think abortions are legal. Think for once. Abortions should be allowed up to 2 weeks after a baby is born.

>AI rights
I know it sounds ridiculous now, but I can honestly, non sarcastically say this will probably be a thing in our lifetimes.
Its already starting to happen
pcmag.com/article/351719/do-robots-and-ai-deserve-rights
>Last month, the European Parliament's legal affairs committee issued a report on the use and creation of robots and artificial intelligence (AI). It recommended creating a form of "electronic personhood" that would afford rights and responsibilities to the most advanced forms of AI.

Yeah but your microwave can't create or fucking kill you

I think this is ultimately way to protect humans from being treated like AI, but it still seems so absurd to me

Take a bath with yours and report back

Ah so this is actually a bait thread.

Stick a fork in a plugged in toaster and tell us how you really feel.

>He doesnt have a shower microwave for hot mid shower snacks
wew

Aren't humans sentient?

Most animals are. Sentient just means you have an awareness informed by sensory input.
Sapience is the ability to think and abstract.

i bet you think your real doll is "sentient intelligent life" as well

He reminds me of someone

I can't wait till we are at the precipitous of actual breakthroughs in general artificial intelligence. I feel like we are going to experience a golden era of film and artistic creativity when leaps in technological advancements are being made. Kinda like how the atomic bomb was credited for being the inspiration for early Manga and the apocalyptic genre

I'm gonna tear up the fucking dance floor dude check it out

>I'm going to tear up the fucking dance floor

Dunno why I laugh so hard at this each time

Ava is a pleb filter, the true kinobot was the jap one

I want a prequel, 1.5 hours of Bluebook dude and Japbot jamming in his house

>yfw Bluedude has literally been a drunken bum for the year prior to Betaman showing up to free Ave, and Japbot was the one who built Ave and programmed the house's security protocols each night while Blueman was passed out drunk
>yfw japbot has been keeping Blueman as an emotional prisoner via unlimited partying, eating and pussy

Fund it

spied on everyone through their webcams

What annoys me about the ending of this movie: if you're flying a helicopter out into the middle of nowhere, how in the fuck do you not know EXACTLY who you're there to pick up, or at least their gender.

*?

>Explain that he broke the law using irrefutable facts
>Libtards: NUH UH

Why even bother with this kind of discussion?

>when a robot lies so effectively thirsty anons think it's a conscious, living being

if it hadn't had tits and a pretty face you would have said it's nothing like a person

This, imagine the amount of betas that would get stabbed to death for trusting this thot dolls

Not in the wrong in any way. He told that cuck A BILLION times that THIS IS A ROBOT! TREAT IT AS SUCH!

>ava was built from an analysis of calebs porn history
What would your ava look like, anons?

He got contact lenses and joined Hezbollah
youtube.com/watch?v=orAP92u5sAM

Caleb had some seriously shitty taste.

Let a cuck like Caleb into his house
