ITT: Hometowns

>Riverside, Iowa
>Future birthplace of James Kirk from Star Trek
>Casino in a town of 2500
>Annual celebration of how awesome we are (Trekfest)
>town park has a fucking jail cell in it so the kids can start locking up nigs from a young age

Hillary will put a refugee resettlement center there and CNN will publish an article about how the townsfolk are eager to "welcome" the arrivals

>mfw this whole town has only one family of nigs (6 total)

I'm ten minutes away from you.

me too

What town?

Where town and country meet.

Cedar Rapids represent!

>Implying that it takes 10 minutes to get from one end of Riverside to the other
I am one of the last 'in town' houses, so I'm calling bullshit.

Represent who? Safe space college faggots? Small towns in Iowa are the comfiest places on earth.

That's my town's motto. Hills. Are you that red haired dude from Riverside that did an "Ask a Trump supporter in Iowa Anything" thread just before the caucus?

Having lived in Center Point and Belmond, no they aren't. Weird little groups of people who can't mind their own business. All Iowans watch out for each other in the hard times, only small townies watch each other. Doesn't matter, grew up in the country for bestlife.

My father was well known around Southeast Iowa, as he (still) owns a business that provided reliable services for a good price
When the floods in '08 (I think) hit our cabin on the Iowa river, several families from town helped fix it up.

Sorry your cabin took the hit. I was in Iowa City for the floods, what a nightmare.

Oh shit, I've been found out.
Anyway, Hills is a weird fucking place with that water issue they had.

I went into IC after the water was gone, and it was an absolute mess.

It's pretty comfy now. Water tower is working fine, and there's been some moderate growth with the new apartments on the east side. You want to talk about weird? Stumptown, now that's a weird place.

>mfw there's a full blown Sup Forumsack 15 minutes from where I live

Stumptown? I've never been there. You're gonna have to full me in.

Just to the east of Riverside, over the river. That's what everyone here calls it, but I believe it's actually called River Junction

>Norman, Oklahoma
>Home to the University of Oklahoma
>We drink Bama tears
>Many Indian casinos nearby
>Population 118,000

East shit Texas

Ah, River Junction. I haven't been there in a while, so I don't have much recollection of it. All of my business is either in Riverside or North of it.

Oh wait one minute. River Junction is that little group of houses across from the Sand Road, right?

Yeah, it's a ghost town, man. Used to be where they crossed the river at, and now it's almost entirely gone. Odd vibe to that place.

>I can already imagine all the Kirks who will go there to have a kid in 2228 and name him James

Oh shit I'm like 1 1/2 hours away from you guys and 1 hour from Cedar Rapids.

Pol meeting in Iowa when?

I got to get gone because I have work in the morning, user. Good talking to you. I tend to hang out on /o/. If you make a Iowa related thread over there, I'll find you. Later

NOW

Meet me in the cornfield at noon. You know the one.

This place used to be pretty amazing. They've been busy ruining it for about 15 years now, though, and it's quickly getting worse.

BE FRIENDS NOW!
I ship you.

>Coolville, Ohio
>Biggest attraction is the local truck stop
>Best thing to happen was the $400 everyone got in a class action lawsuit for having their drinking water poisoned by C8 for 30 years
>The town Chad does not know left from right, or how to read numbers, but has fucked every girl in the local highschool
>Have to drive to Parkersburg or Athens for entertainment
>Continually shrinking because of worsening economy

So glad I got out of there.
